This study aims to examine and find out the information about deaf response towards the use of Indonesian signal language (BISINDO) and Indonesian Signal Language System (SIBI) on communication. Research method being implemented was quantitative approach in which supported by qualitative data. Subject on this study was 100 respondents of adult and teenagers with hearing impairments (aged 16­50) who live in Indonesia especially at Java and Bali. Data collection technique on this study was questionnaire and interview. Based on data analysis seen from answer categorization of 100 respondents with hearing impairment, less of them are supporting SIBI on communication because of its concept cause difficulties for communicating. Whereas, most of them supporting the use of BISINDO on communication. Thus, it could be concluded that through the questionnaire result and interview of 100 respondent with hearing impairment on teenagers and adult categorization (aged 16­59) in various places, its proven that 91% majority of deaf are using BISINDO for communicate with others.

The people of Tilatang Kamang, Agam Regency, West Sumatra have a tradition, namely the tradition of khatam Qur'an children. This tradition is a celebration / gratitude for the success of children in completing their recitation of the Koran (khatam). Usually this activity is held once a year, to be precise during school holidays. This tradition is a tradition that is ingrained in the life of the Tilatang Kamang community. This Quranic tradition of khatam is also found in several other areas in Minangkabau, but each region has its own uniqueness. In Tilatang Kamang this ceremony is enlivened by barracks around the village, the aim is to inform the crowd that there are several children in this area who have successfully finished reading the Qur'an (finished their studies) and can read the Koran properly and correctly. . The ceremony ended with the announcement of the winners of the khatam participants in the recitation of the Qur'an. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach. The data collection technique was done by interview and observation, while the data analysis technique used data reduction, reflection, and conclusion. The results of this study illustrate that the Khatam Qur'an ceremony has become a tradition for the Tilatang Kamang community of the Agam Regency for children who have completed their studies and also as one of the requirements for children to continue their education to a higher level.

This study aims to analyze and categorize the type of yakuwarigo or role language on the Anime of Gintama. Role language, or known as Yakuwarigo in Japanese, is a set of language features associated with a particular type of character in the virtual world. The characteristic of these languages variation such as vocabulary, grammar, intonation, and accent patterns. (Kinsui, 2003). This study also investigates the function of these language variation types focusing on the yakuwarigo types in Anime Gintama. The data collection technique that was used is the note technique. The data analysis technique used in this study was the reading markah analysis technique followed by a descriptive qualitative data analysis technique to present the results of the data analysis. The results show that the type of Yakuwarigo found in Anime Gintama shows the variation of the character itself. Seven types of yakuwarigo seen from 10 Gintama anime characters, namely, aruyo kotoba, hakase go, onee kotoba, joseigo, danseigo, chara gobi, and Osaka ben. And the particular type of the yakuwarigo’s characteristics was shujoshi and specific types of expression used by these characters.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasi citra perempuan pada kumpulan puisi Milk and Honey karya Rupi Kaur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan kritik sastra feminisme. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simak catat. Sedangkan tahapan penelitian data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data. Citra perempuan diklasifikasikan menjadi tiga aspek, yaitu fisik, psikis, dan sosial. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa citra perempuan tidak hanya memberikan gambaran mengenai tingkah laku, mental, dan sosial perempuan, tetapi juga memperlihatkan gambaran mengenai berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi perempuan di dalam masyarakat patriarki. The purpose of this study was to describe and identify the image of women in the collection of poetry Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. The research method used is a qualitative method using feminist literary criticism. The data collection technique was carried out using the note-taking technique. While the data research stages are carried out using data analysis techniques. The image of women is classified into three aspects, namely physical, psychological, and social. The results of the research and discussion show that the image of women not only provides an overview of women's behavior, mental and social, but also shows an overview of the various problems faced by women in a patriarchal society.

This article analyzes the function of imperative sentences contained in the "The Captain" movie by applying Zhang's theory of imperative sentence function. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research methods. The data source in this research is the 2019 China movie“The Captain” (中国机长 Zhōngguó Jīzhǎng). The data are imperative words and sentences in the movie. The data collection technique used was the observation and note technique according to Mahsun, then used the data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. Researchers found 281 imperative sentences in "The Captain" movie and analyzes the imperative function. The most widely used imperative function is the commanding function, which is 80 sentences. Meanwhile, the least function used was threatening function only 1 sentence. The commanding function is more dominant than other functions and found in the conversations between officers to passengers, flight attendants to passengers, communication between officers and others. The commanding function is also mostly found in the officer’s conversations, especially when they were facing an emergency situation. Meanwhile, the words used by the officers, flight attendants and the captain wereshowing respect and courtesy. So that the threathening function was less found in this movie. There are no requesting and begging functions because this movie tells about the incident of the Sichuan flight 8633, including the service of the aircraft officers and the confidence of the officers in facing the emergency situation at that time.

This study aims to describe the style of language used by the novel Tanah Langit Merah and the Comet novel. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research data collection technique is the documentation technique. Data analysis techniques are used through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) Novel Comet contains a comparative language style of 109 citations, contrasting 39 quotations, linking 31 quotations, and repeating 10 quotations. (2) The novel Tanah Langit Merah contains comparative language styles, 97 parable parables, 117 metaphor quotations, 25 personification quotations, and 1 quote antithesis. (3) antagonism, hyperbole 74 citations, oxymoron 6 quotations, sarcasm 24 quotations, satire 15 quotations, paradox 10 quotations. (4) linkages, 8 excerpt metonemicals, 3 excerpts euphemisms, and 15 citation elepsis. (5) iteration, alliteration of 11 citations, anaphora 4 quotations, and efficiency of 2 quotations. The aims of research is to find out the effect of brand changes and consumer satisfaction on consumer loyality at FIFGROUP. The research method used descriptive quantitative survey and data collection technique used area sampling techniques with the number of respondents were 150 people,. The technique of data analysis is multiple linear regression equation. The results of research showed that customers understand the changes of brand and logo of the company, but the results of the calculations show that there is no influence of the change of brand and customer satisfaction to customer loyalty. In conducting this recearch, the researchers was faced by some constraints, especially constraints to obtain data on the number of customer’s detail , as well as data concerning the company's consideration in making the change of brand and logo, so further research is effective to do.

Efforts to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 pandemic in primary schools are to issue a Distance Learning (PJJ) policy. The purpose of this study was to see the responses of parents to distance learning policies in North Sumatra. The research method is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire that is distributed online via google form. Respondents of this study were parents at the SD / MI and SMP / MTs levels in 6 districts / cities partnering the Tanoto Foundation in North Sumatra Province. The data analysis used is descriptive percentage using pivoting. The total respondents were 278 people who were selected by simple random. The conclusion of this study is that 99.64% of parents stated that children had implemented the PJJ program; 94% of parents stated that they participated in guiding their children at home; 96% stated that they had been given instructions by the teacher in guiding the PJJ program; 65% of parents stated that they felt comfortable with PJJ activities.

The research aims to describe the speech variation of the Benteng Somba Opu community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data were gaining from the verbal speech of the Benteng Somba Opu community in the form of dialogue. Data collection techniques conducted by doing observation and recording techniques. The data analysis carried out through data identification, data classification, data interpretation, and description of the result based on the sociolinguistics theory. The results of the research show that the Benteng Somba Opu community speech variation marked by using suffix, prefix, particle, and code-mixing. The suffix form contains -mi, -ma, -mo, -na, -nu, -ni, -ka, -ki, -ko, -ku, -ji, -pi, -di, -i, and - e. The prefix form marked by na-, ku-, ta-, and -i. The particle seems to the words, iyo, tong, tomma (i), mako, mami, paeng, dih, and tawwa. Code mixing conveyed using the English language (off and reward), and Arabic (alhamdulillah). Those variations are adjusting with the level of social, position, age, and familiarity between the speaker and the addressee in the Benteng Somba Opu community, resulting in a good, respectful, and polite speech.

This article is part of a research on Indonesian literature in East Java which is studied  from the perspective of local psychology. This study aims to explore local Javanese women in Indonesian literature. The research method used in this research is qualitative which leads to literature. The data collection technique was carried out in a documentative manner. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of identification, sorting, and exposure. The results showed that local Javanese women appeared in two segmentations, namely (1) Javanese local women as mother figures, having empathetic and patient behavior and (2) Javanese local women as child figures who had filial and patient behavior. This research shows that the local psychology of Javanese women that appears in literature leads to the psychology of eastern women which tends to strengthen intuition and ethical psychology.

Education is one of the basic things tha must be obtaned by citizen in every country. This research is motivated by there are complaints from parents who do not have time to prepare food for their children who attend school too late in the morning. However, there are students or teachers who come late and don’t break the rules. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of regent regulations related to school hours rules. The theory used in this research is the theory of Edward III which includes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The research method use is descriptive research reluctant to use qualitative approach. The data collection technique is direct observation, in-depth interview, library study, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the study show that the policy of school hours at 06.00 is not appropriate to be implemented. Therefore, some improvements are needed regarding the policy regulations.
