Nowadays technological developments are increasingly creative and tend to move towards digital. Technological developments have a major impact on the process of statistical learning at the University. In addition, many students lack understanding of statistical concepts and do not like statistical learning. In this paper, it is given a way of involving technology in the undergraduate class statistics teaching and what statistical concepts are needed in this digital age. Thus, it is hoped that the teaching of the undergraduate statistics class becomes something interesting and fun.

This study aims to present partial results on the research Project Tecnologia da Informação em Biblioteca Digital e Sistemas Abertos – Estudos de Usuário da Informação na Web de Dados (Information Technology in Digital Library and Open Systems – Studies on Users of Information on Data Web), conducted by the School of Communications and Arts from University of São Paulo in cooperation with the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto. The study presents reflections on ethical dimensions that accompany the current digital era. It discusses the importance of understanding the demands of the information user in the Data Web, with a view to teach a course named Ethics of Information at undergraduate programs in Librarianship, Archivology, Museology, and Information Science, which condenses these reflections and problems, Developing skills for an ethical action in the formation of the information professional in the network society.Palavras-chave: Ethics. A team from the University of Coimbra is partnering with the producers of Inanimate Alice to present a distinctive vision of interactive storytelling in education. In this article, we will discuss the origins of the series, the vision of the creators and how technological developments have added to the user experience. Uniquely, this transmedia narrative demonstrates the progressive complexity of life in the digital age with Perpetual Nomads, the latest adventure, providing a narrative experience in Virtual Reality. The goal of the Portuguese translation is to introduce the reading of Inanimate Alice in elementary and secondary schools. It will be the first digital-born text to be read in Portuguese schools so, concurrently, we have been translating the pedagogical guidelines. Consequently, we intend presenting both the results of our work and the main challenges faced during preparation of the translations, especially focusing on intercultural analysis.

Technological developments are increasingly rapid in the digital age today, causing the values that are born, both positive and negative also experience a tremendous surprise for humans. From these surprises, so the role of parents in educating their children also changes by the development of their times. In the 80, parents in educating their children must have experienced a difference in the digital age today. The parenting style that initially experienced differences from other parents, which only applied authoritarian, permissive, democratic types of parenting, had experienced success in educating children, but in the age of the digital era, the three parenting styles would not succeed, if they did not synchronize according to the time of the situation and conditions in terms of parenting.

Technological developments have significantly changed the way how a business works, especially the culinary business named Seblak Jeletet Murni, that has located in Jakarta. This business is still relatively new, but consumers continue moldy and this spicy culinary product sales have been continue to increase. This phenomenon is a result of business which has entered the digital era in social media. Marketing of this product is not done intensively by the owner of this business, but consumers who moved to market virally in social media, especially social media video youtube. In this article the author analyzed descriptively about consumer behavior in digital marketing that has affected the sales of the culinary products. The analyzes were performed with case studies and associated in the literature on consumer behavior and digital marketing strategies. This article aims to describe the behavior of consumers in the digital age so that it can be input in determining the marketing strategy culinary efforts forward and be used for thought on the future of consumer research. Shiga University opened the first data science faculty in Japan in April 2017. Beginning with an undergraduate class of 100 students, the Department has since established a Master's degree programme with 20 students in each annual intake. This is the first data science faculty in Japan and the University intends to retain this leading position, the Department is well-placed to do so. The faculty closely monitors international trends concerning data science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and adapt its education and research accordingly. The genesis of this department marks a change in Japan's attitudes towards dealing with information and reflects a wider, global understanding of the need for further research in this area. Shiga University's Data Science department seeks to produce well-trained data scientists who demonstrate a good balance of knowledge and skills in each of the three key areas of data science.

We collected personal documents from various participants on the topic of "a personal experience in which you observed or experienced psychopathology." The protocols were "topical autobiographical" personal documents, which we analyzed using the procedures set forth by van Kaam, to describe—rather than attempting to explain—lived experiences. Subsequently, 15 protocols obtained from an undergraduate class in psychopathology at the University of Regina were analyzed. We feel that both the methodology used and our findings reveal a new way of viewing psychopathology, showing the inadequacy of reducing psychopathology to diagnostic labels. We found that the fullness of the pathological experience can only be understood through elucidating experienced interpersonal dynamics. Consequently, both an essential and a situational quality is evidenced, revealing the inadequacy of theories in which either the existence of psychopathology or its subjective character are denied.

ABSTRACT Augusto Moreno is credited with establishing the first radiocarbon (14C) laboratory in Mexico in the 1950s, however, 14C measurement with the accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) technique was not achieved in our country until 2003. Douglas Donahue from the University of Arizona, a pioneer in using AMS for 14C dating, participated in that experiment; then, the idea of establishing a 14C AMS laboratory evolved into a feasible project. This was finally reached in 2013, thanks to the technological developments in AMS and sample preparation with automated equipment, and the backing and support of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the National Council for Science and Technology. The Mexican AMS Laboratory, LEMA, with a compact 1 MV system from High Voltage Engineering Europa, and its sample preparation laboratories with IonPlus automated graphitization equipment, is now a reality.

A pair of embroidered seventeenth-century gauntlet gloves, reputedly presented by King Charles I to his courtier Sir Henry Wardlaw, was donated to the University of St Andrews in 2001. This article sets out to uncover the truth behind this nearly four-hundred-year-old family legend by investigating Sir Henry’s royal connections and the social significance of the gauntlet gloves as a high-status, luxury clothing accessory. Based on the study of historic gloves in museum and private collections, it endeavours to date the gloves by discussing their design and manufacture within the context of seventeenth-century clothing fashion. This article also explores the symbolism behind the gauntlet gloves’ decorative scheme by unravelling some of the hidden messages that are conveyed about cultural, religious, political and technological developments and perspectives through seventeenth-century embroidery.

At the University of Szeged, as the greenest University of Hungary, the sustainability project is built on two pillars. One of them is based on events and communication campaigns held regularly for the University citizens to prompt environmental-conscious behaviour, whereas the other is built on technological developments and on the extensive use of renewable energy resources. Thus the development of built environment and social responsibility both support the adequacy to sustainability requirements. The spreading of the effective solutions to making more and more buildings of the University energy efficient, numerous investments using renewable energy are also responsible for the decrease of the natural energy use of the institution contrary to the fact that the number of the buildings of the University of Szeged is continually increasing. It can be stated that the University of Szeged is committed to using renewable energy which is taken into consideration of each investment planning. The following examples confirm it: using geothermal cascade system for heating and cooling of five university bulidings, solar panels on 24 builidings and a unique technology of using the heat of wastewater to cool and heat one of the main bulidings of the university, namely the Study and Information Centre.
