Kegiatan konseling kelompok dilakukan untuk siswa putri kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Pleret, SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret dan SMP Muhamamdiyah Imogiri,Bantul. Sebelum dilakukan konseling kelompok dilakukan seleksi dengan menggunakan Skala Kompetensi Sosial. Peserta konseling kelompok adalah siswa putri yang memiliki skor kompetensi sosial yang rendah.Konseling kelompok di SMP Muhammadiyah Imogiri dilakukan pada tanggal 25 dan 26 Maret 2018 yang melibatkan 7 orang siswa dalam 1 kelompok. Konseling kelompok di SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27 dan 28 Maret 2018 yang melibatkan 7 orang siswa dalam 1 kelompok. Konseling kelompok di SMP MBS Pleret dilaksanakan pada tanggal 29 dan 30 Maret 2018 yang melibatkan 20 orang siswa dalam 3 kelompok. Konseling kelompok terdiri dari sesi pembentukan kelompok, tahap involvement, tahap transisi, tahap terapi dan tahap akhir.Hasil evaluasi dengan menggunakan Skala Kompetensi Sosial menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta mengalami peningkatan dalam kompetensi sosial setelah mengikuti kegiatan konseling kelompok. Selain itu setelah mengikuti konseling kelompok para siswa merasa lega saat mengungkapkan permasalahannya, mampu mengenali dan mengekspresikan emosinya serta mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang cara mengelola emosi, cara mengenali emosi diri serta bersikap asertif.Kesimpulan dari kegiatan yang telah dilakukan adalah konseling kelompok mampu meningkatkan kompetensi sosial pada siswa putri. Kata kunci : konseling kelompok, siswa putri  GROUP COUNSELING  FOR  SEVEN GRADE FEMALE STUDENTS OFSMP MBS PLERET, SMP MUHAMMADIYAH PLERETAND SMP MUHAMMADIYAH IMOGIRI  Alfi Purnamasari, Erlina Listyanti Widuri, Siti MulyaniFakultas Psikologi Universitas Ahmad Dahlan [email protected] Group counseling activities were conducted for seventh grade female students of Pleret Middle School Muhammadiyah Boarding (MBS), Muhammadiyah Pleret Middle School and Imogiri Muhamamdiyah Middle School, Bantul. Before group counseling is carried out selection by using the Social Competency Scale. Participants in group counseling were female students who had low social competency scores.Group counseling at Muhammadiyah Middle School Imogiri was conducted on March 25 and 26 in 2018 involving 7 students in 1 group. Group counseling at Muhammadiyah Middle School Pleret was held on March 27 and 28 in 2018 which involved 7 students in 1 group. Group counseling at the MBS Pleret Middle School was held on March 29 and 30 in 2018 which involved 20 students in 3 groups. Group counseling consists of group formation sessions, involvement stage, transition phase, therapy stage and final stage.The evaluation results using the Social Competence Scale showed that most participants experienced an increase in social competence after participating in group counseling activities. In addition, after following the counseling the groups of students were relieved when expressing their problems, being able to recognize and express their emotions and gain knowledge about how to manage emotions, how to recognize emotions and be assertive.The conclusion of the activities that have been carried out is group counseling capable of increasing social competence in female students. Keywords: group counseling, female students

The result of observations of social competence of teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Tanggulangin Boarding School is the rise of news that social competence of teachers is very influential on the development of each institution, here the author wants to know how social competencies possessed by teachers at SMP Muhammmadiyah 9 Tanggulangin Boarding School because schools This is an institution that is still relatively new and is still in the process of development. This is the background of this research. These problems are discussed through qualitative research conducted with the Grounded Research model. The subjects of this study were 25 teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 BS Tanggulangin. The object of this study is the influence of teacher social competence on improving human resources at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Tanggulangin Boarding School. Data collection techniques in this study used tests, observations, interviews and documentation. From the results of the study, showed that the social competence of teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Tanggulangin Boarding School has a pretty good value based on the results of the test of the teacher's social competency instrument which shows the value of each description is 4 with a total score of 100, and from the interviews it can be concluded that there is an influence which is significant from the social competence of teachers to increase human resources in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Tanggulangin Boarding School with a focus on increasing the number of students and increasing teaching staff in the last 5 years since the foundation of this institution.

The Parent Form of the Social Competence Scale (SCS–PF) was translated into Chinese and validated in a sample of Chinese preschool children ( N = 443). Results confirmed a single dimension and high internal consistency in the SCS–PF. Mothers' ratings on the SCS–PF correlated moderately with teachers' ratings on the Teacher Form of the Social Competence Scale and weakly with teachers' ratings on the Student–Teacher Relationship Scale.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kompetensi sosial anak yang mengikuti model pendidikan homeschooling dan model pendidikan konvensional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa berusia 9-13 tahun, laki-laki dan perempuan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode angket. Adapun angket yang digunakan adalah skala kompetensi sosial yang disusun oleh peneliti sendiri dengan mengacu pada aspek-aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Frey & Bos (2012) hingga dihasilkan aitem sebanyak 24 aitem. Metode analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan fasilitas program SPSS 16.0 for Windows, untuk menguji apakah terdapat perbe-daan kompetensi sosial anak yang mengikuti model pendidikan homeschooling dan konvensional. Metode analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan fasilitas program SPSS 16.0 for Windows dengan Teknik Independent Samples T-tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kompetensi Sosial antara siswa homeschooling dengan siswa SD reguler, dimana siswa homeschooling lebih tinggi kompetensi sosialnya daripada siswa sekolah reguler. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ COMPARISON SOCIAL COMPETENCE BETWEEN HOMESCHOOLERS IN SOLO WITH REGULAR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IN SD MUHAMMADIYAH 1, SOLO ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the difference social competence between children that following homeshooling education model and regular education model.  The subjects in this research were childrens with 9-13 of age, boys and/or girls. The data was collected using social competence scale that was made by writer also the items from aspects that was publicated by Frey and Bos (2012). The data was tested by using SPSS 16.0 for Windows, to know are there any differences of social competence between children that following homeschooling education model and regular. The data was tested by using SPSS 16.0 for Windows by The Independent Technic Samples T-test. Based on the test, there were any differences of social competence between children that following homeschooling education model and regular education model, in which the social competence of children that following homeschooling education model is higher than children that following regular education model. PURPOSE: To investigate the behavioral and social competency profiles of individuals who stutter and to compare them with persons who do not stutter, according to their parents; to correlate the behavioral and the social competence performances with the severity of stuttering. METHODS: Sixty-four participants, aged 6 to 18 years, of both genders, were divided into two groups: the study group (SG), composed of 32 individuals with persistent developmental stuttering, and the control group (CG), composed of 32 fluent individuals. The procedures used were fluency assessment, stuttering severity instrument, and the Child Behavior Checklist inventory. RESULTS: In the behavioral profile of the SG, the mean of the total score and that of the internalizing problems were classified as clinical. The comparison between the groups showed differences in the behavioral profile concerning the total score, and in the internalizing and externalizing problems; and in the social profile, concerning the total score and activity scale. There were no statistically significant differences in the scales among the mild, moderate, and severe stuttering. CONCLUSION: According to the information provided by parents, children who stutter showed peculiar behavior and social competence, with a higher tendency to manifest alterations in this area, in comparison to those who do not stutter. Fear, nervousness/tension, guilt, anxiety, perfectionism, and worry were the most frequent alterations in relation to the behavior, whereas damages in the social field and in the habitual communication situations characterized the social competence of persons who stutter.

This study aims to analyze and describe the development of teacher’s social competency based on local wisdom at Al-Hilal Islamic Junior Secondary School in Tehoru Village. The values of local wisdom community in Central Maluku district was integrated in the development of teacher social competence. This study employed the qualitative approach. The data source consisted of primary and secondary data. The data were collected through observation, interview and documentation. The data were analyzed using interactive model of Miles and Huberman.The focuses of this study were: (1) the values of local community wisdom, (2) the integration of the local wisdom values in the development of teacher’s social competence, (3) supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of teacher-based social competence of local wisdom. The study reveals three findings. First, the local wisdom value of the people of Central Maluku is Hidop orang basudara which has philosophical value of ale rasa beta rasa, sagu salempeng pata dua, potong di kuku rasa di daging. The values are implemented in societal life like ;masohi, badati, maano. There are also some belief symbols which is convinced by the society like batu kramat. Second, the values of local wisdom in the development of teacher social competence at Al-Hilal Islamic Junior Secondary School in Tehoru village refer to the values of social attitudes and social systems. The social attitudes are brotherhood, responsibility, mutual caring, and cooperation. Whereas the social system is every activity carried out together. Third, there are three inhibiting factors in the development of teacher social competence: the lack of human resources (HR), both educators and educational staff; lack of facilities and infrastructure, and limited of information. In contrast, there is a supporting factor in the development of teacher social competence, namely: the role of community to have active participation regarding the progress of education quality.Keywords: local wisdom, teacher’s social competence

This study aims to describe the social competence of homeschoolers, learning tutors visit program at ANSA School Semarang, and the influence of the learning program on the social competence of homeschoolers. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research method involving four homeschoolers equivalent to Junior High School (SMP) grades VII and VIII and some relevant resources. The results show that the social competence of the four homeschoolers is good enough according to some indicators in this resarch, for instance their openness to others. Moreover, the learning tutor visit program organized by ANSA School is a highly structured and systematic learning program with the aim to provide learning facilities for children who have special need, so the learning program visit tutor could be categorize to be one of the homeschooler competency forming factors. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi sosial homeschooler, program pembelajaran tutor visit di Ansa School Semarang, serta pengaruh antara program pembelajaran tersebut terhadap kompetensi sosial homeschooler. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, melibatkan empat homeschooler setara Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) kelas VII dan VIII, serta beberapa narasumber terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi sosial yang dimiliki oleh keempat homeschooler cukup baik yang ditunjukkan dengan terpenuhinya beberapa indikator-indikator dalam penelitian serta keterbukaan mereka terhadap orang lain. Kemudian, program pembelajaran tutor visit yang diselenggarakan oleh Ansa School merupakan program pembelajaran yang sangat terstruktur dan sistematis dengan tujuan untuk memberikan fasilitas belajar bagi anak-anak yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus, sehingga program pembelajaran tutor visit dapat disimpulkan menjadi salah satu faktor pembentuk kompetensi sosial homeschooler. The study aimed at investigating the effect of a training program based on extracurricular activities in developing social competence among a sample of students with learning disabilities in the basic stage in Irbid Governorate. The sample consisted of (40) third and fourth-grade students enrolled in the resource rooms. The study sample was divided into two groups; an experimental group (20) students and a control group (20) student. The training program for developing social competence was applied only to the experimental group . The Walker-McConnell Scale of Social Competence-Children version (prepared by "Walker- McConnell", translated into Arabic by Ahmed Awad 2002) was applied to all study members before and after the application of the training program. The statistical analysis of the data resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of (a less / equal 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the social competence scale and the total score of the scale, in favor of the experimental group. There were no statistically significant differences at (a less / equal 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the social competence scale due to the interaction between age and group in the post-test.

Attachment styles are indispensable elements in evoking human behavior. Precious and priceless social relations or social behavior of every individual is ever more determined by these styles only. Adapting to positive well-being at home, school and peer adjustments are the essential social capabilities expected from the adolescents in order to have effective behavior potentials. Mostly, accomplishments and achievements of academic pursuits of adolescents seem to get initiated by the affectionate bond they receive either from their parents or from their caretakers. Hence, the current study seeks to sketch the probable link between attachment styles on the social competence of the adolescent students. Here, sample consists of 1152 male and 1188 female adolescent students. The Attachment Styles Questionnaire and The Adolescent Social Competence Scale were used to collect relevant data. Suitable statistical analyses were adopted for analyzing the data. The findings showed that the attachment styles seem to persuade the social competence of the adolescent students.
