We studied slipping of forestry machines at constant and random grappled weight and traction load. In this case the distribution probability parameters are practically independent from the mass of the forest machine, its suspension system, transmission type (in case of providing traction "on clutch"), type of soil, and they are explained by the style of logging machines operation, to a certain extent, design and control system parameters of technological equipment.

The proposed study presents an original concept for the design of a walking robot with a minimum number of motors. The robot has a simple design and control system, successfully moves by walking, avoids or overcomes obstacles using only two independently controlled motors. Described are basic geometric and kinematic dependencies related to its movement. It is proposed optimization of basic dimensions of the robot in order to reduce energy losses when moving on flat terrain. Developed and produced is a 3-D printed prototype of the robot. Simulation and experiments for overcoming an obstacle are presented. Trajectories and instantaneous velocities centers of links from the robot are experimentally determined. The phases of walking and the stages of overcoming an obstacle are described. The theoretical and experimental results are compared. The suggested dimensional optimization approaches to reduce energy loss and experimental determination of the instant center of rotation are also applicable to other walking robots.

Magnetorheological elastomers air spring, a practical new paten t is introduced, which is composed of magnetorheological elastomers, up-board, down-board and control system. The control system adjusts air pressure and real time stiffness. The air spring can enhance car capability of shock absorption, riding ride and steering stabilization, which can be applied to car’s suspension system.

This paper presents the work completed under a research project titled "Design of a mobile platform for the support of forensic testing of scenes with potential CBRN hazards". The study focuses on operation of the mobile platform control algorithm, determination of the mobile platform position and preparation of the mobile platform system for integration with a video navigation system. The sensors installed on the mobile platform are intended as emergency backup systems in the event of loss of communication between the platform and its operator. The results of the test drive sessions completed to verify the control algorithm performance are also given.

In this paper, from the point of view of Man-machine system engineering, the evaluation method of the display and control system is studied based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The determination of the factors system, the weighted value of the factors, the fuzzy evaluation matrixes and the method of overall evaluation is preliminarily expounded. At last, an example is given to show that the proposed method is effective and applicable. It provides a theoretic reference to the integrated display console interface of armored vehicle developing and designing.
