1. The relative growth-rate of the various parts of the body was investigated by analysis of linear measurements carried out on the carapace, appendages, and abdomen. 2. The results were as follows: (a) The chelar propus shows strong positive heterogony in the ♂ and very slight positive heterogony in the ♀. The ♂ chela shows dimorphism, the ♂♂ being differentiated into "high" and "low" forms and the dimorphism in all probability being due to the fact that the ♂ chela assumes the ♀ type of growth to a greater or less extent in the non-breeding season. (b) The pereiopods are more positively heterogonic in the ♂ than the ♀ and in both ♂ and ♀ there is a graded k series, but whereas in the ♂ k increases from P1-P4, in the ♀ the series is reversed k being greatest for P1. In both sexes the heterogony in the pereiopods is not so marked as that of the chelar propus. In the ♂ the pereiopods suffer an actual decrease in absolute size at the time when the relative growth-rate is least for the chelar propus and after this period never again attain to their original relative size.

Kualitas air pada media pemeliharaan yang meliputi suhu, DO, pH, amonia dan salinitas tergolong pada kisaran yang sesuai untuk budidaya ikan bandeng (<em>C. chanos</em>).</p><p> </p><p><strong>Kata kunci</strong>:Pakan; Madu; Ikan Bandeng; Dosis</p><p> </p><p align="center"><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong></p><p><em>The quality of the feed is good aside from the content of protein as well as from mineral contained therein. Addition of honey in artificial fish feed could gave some minerals which needed for growing up. Honey contains minerals that served for the establishment of a regulator, cell water content in the body and contains antioxidants that could served for the resilience of the body. This research aims to know the effect of the addition of honey in the feeding -made against relative growth rate, efficiency of feed utilization and the survival rate of milkfish (</em>Chanos chanos<em>). The fish used in this research is the milkfish (</em>C. chanos<em>) in size with an average weight of 0.8 – 1.2 g to the amount of dense stocking 25-ind /cages. Frequency of feeding was done in 3 times a day at 7:00 PM GMT, 12:00 PM GMT and 17:00 PM GMT amounting to 5% of the weight of biomass. This research was conducted with the experimental method using random design complete (RAL), with the 4 treatments and repetition as much as 3 times. The treatments in this study is the addition of honey with different doses in artificial feed such as  A (0 ml/kg of feed); B (125 ml/kg of feed); C (250 ml/kg of feed) and D (375 ml/kg of feed). The results showed that the addition of honey in artificial feed has significant (P &lt; 0.05) in absolutally weight (W), relative growth rate (RGR), efficiency of feed utilization (EPP) and protein effeciency ratio (PER) and has no significant (P &gt; 0.05) for survival rate (SR).  The treatment D is the best once which has gave the highest value on the W (249,53 ± 2,75 g); RGR (24,55 ± 0,17 %/day); EPP (47,36±0,50%), and PER (1.81±0.08%). The scientific results of the body weight dynamics, the multiplicity of its increase, the average daily weight gain, the relative growth rate and the exterior indicators are presented. The brewers waste is a high-protein product with a high content of carbohydrates, including fiber. For the research, three groups of Jersey breed were formed on the principle of the analogue group: the first was control, the second and the third – experimental. Their rations were introduced by 15 % and 20 % of dry brewers waste from the total diet, respectively. It was established that the live weight of the experimental cows from the 2nd group was 9.3 times bigger. The live weight of the experimental cows from the 1st and 3rd group increased 9 times. The cows from the 2nd group had the highest average daily weight gain (811.4 g) in the period from 2 to 6 months. It was 3.2 % times more than in the control group and 7.4 % times more than in the 3rd experimental group. The cows from the 2nd experimental group had the highest relative growth rate (85.7 %) in the period from 2 to 6 months which was 2.2 % times more than in the 1st control group and 4.2% times more than in the 3rd experimental group. In the period from 6 to 12 months, the 2nd experimental group had the highest average daily weight gain (671.4 g), which was 2.1 % more than in the 1st control group and 3.5 % more than in the 3rd experimental group. From 6 to 12 months the relative growth rate in all groups was almost the same and ranged from 54.2% – 54.7 %. At the age of 12 months, the 1st control group had greater index (120.4). The 3rd experimental group had 119.6 and the 2nd – 118.6. The 2nd group of the same age had better shooting index than the 1st control group 0.7 % times more and the 3rd group 1.4 % times more. It indicated the better development of the body weight. Key words: dynamics, weight gain, repair heifers, Jersey breed, measurements, indicators.

SUMMARYGrain growth and final weight per grain were measured in 12 genotypes of spring barley, the parents and progeny of two six-row × two-row crosses. Weight of carpels or grains from node 10 on the main shoot ear was measured from shortly after meiosis until grains were at maximum dry weight. Similar measurements were made at representative node positions along the ear of Proctor and of Midas spring barley cultivars. From about 10 days after anthesis grains grew at a constant rate for about 3 weeks. Amongst genotypes growth rate of the median grain ranged from 1·4 to 2'2 mg/day and there was a very highly significant positive correlation between growth rate and final grain weight. A similar relationship was found among grain positions on the ear. For about 10 days after anthesis growth was exponential and although relative growth rate did not differ between genotypes or grain positions there was a highly significant difference between caryopsis weights during this phase. There were significant correlations between final grain weight and carpel weight at anthesis and between final grain weight and husk weight at anthesis. In the period between meiosis and anthesis growth was exponential and the relative growth rate did not differ between genotypes or node positions on the ear. There were significant differences between carpel weights during this phase. Carpel weight at anthesis and carpel linear dimensions at meiosis were correlated. These data suggest that the initial size of carpel is an important factor in determining growth rate and potential grain weight. Potential grain size in barley may be determined by physical limitations imposed by the lemma and palea or may be causally related to the size of the carpel. The relative size of the carpel is determined by the time of meiosis and potential size may also be affected by pre-anthesis conditions.
