The article presents an overview of the data of statistical observation of the Khabarovsk Krai, the Russian Federation and the Far Eastern Federal District (Okrug) on tuberculosis; their significance for assessing the epidemic situation and the quality of anti-tuberculosis care in these territories in 2002–2019 is studied. The dynamics of statistical indicators for 18 years is given using the methodology for calculating rank values. The dependence of the incidence of tuberculosis on the population density in the constituent entities of the country, the Far Eastern Federal District and its regions has been determined

The expansion of the borders of the Far Eastern Federal District due to the inclusion of the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia in its composition actualizes the problem of inequality of regions (primarily in the social sphere), which in the new boundaries of the macroregion has significantly increased and has acquired a «supernormal» character. It has been established that the lag of the «new» Far Eastern subjects in the level of social development is accompanied by an increase in negative phenomena in the social sphere. The article examines prevailing tendencies of social development in the Far-Eastern federal district during the period of active state policy for the advanced development of macro-region (2013–2020). On the basis of statistical information, the parameters reflecting the demographic dynamics and well-being of the population are analyzed in the context of the subjects of the Far-Eastern federal district. It was revealed that, despite the measures taken to stabilize the population and create comfortable conditions for attracting labor resources to the region, the downward trend of natural and migration movement of the population continues. It is shown that the persistence of an increased birth rate in national entities compared to the national average is accompanied by a decrease in the number of women of reproductive age and a drop in rates, including under the influence of adjusting reproductive attitudes against the background of a coronavirus infection pandemic, which is subsequently fraught with a transition to negative performance. It has been established that high mortality rates continue to persist in the macro-region, especially among people of working age, due to both the low standard of living and the poor development of the health infrastructure, which limits timely access to medical care. It is substantiated that the economic conditions during the study period did not contribute to the positive dynamics of the level of well-being of the population of the Far East, primarily due to the lack of growth in real cash income. A conclusion is made about the low probability of achieving the target social indicators stated in the official strategic documents for the development of the Far East.

The article basing upon estimation of the social and economic potential of Russian Federation subjects shows that the resource model of economic development is suitable for nearly half of them. The advantages of this model are described using the example of the Far Eastern Federal District subjects that could be the proof of the necessity of "resource correction" of regional economic policy in Russia.

Subject. The article addresses the tax liabilities of taxpayers registered in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, which should be paid to the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation, as well as the factors of the said debt growth. Objectives. Our aim is to assess the level of tax debt of regions of the Russian Far East and identify the correlation between the factors and the amount of tax debt. Methods. The study rests on methods of analysis, generalization, grouping, systematization, and the correlation and regression analysis. Results. We analyzed the level of tax debt for the entire Far Eastern Federal District and by region, identified factors affecting the growth of tax debt therein. The paper assesses the structure of tax debt by type of taxes and activity of debtors. The unveiled factors may help control changes in the size of tax debt in the Russian Far East and develop effective measures to improve the debt collection. Conclusions. The study shows that there is an increase in the tax debt in the regions of the Russian Far East, in the VAT in particular. The factor analysis revealed that the volume of sales of wholesale enterprises, investment in fixed capital, the consumer price index have the largest impact on the amount of tax debt.
