This paper presents the development of a cost-effective automatic system for greenhouse environment control. The architectural and functional features were analyzed in the context of the realization of a controlled-environment agricultural system through all its stages: installation, deployment of the software, integration, maintenance, crop control strategy setup and daily operation of the grower. The proposed embedded platform provides remote monitoring and control of the greenhouse environment and is implemented as a distributed sensing and control network integrating wired and wireless nodes. All nodes were built with low-cost, low-power microcontrollers. The key issues that were addressed include the energy-efficient control, the robustness of the distributed control network to faults and a low-cost hardware implementation. The translation of the supervisory growth-planning information to the operational (control network) level is achieved through a specific architecture residing on a crop planning module (CPM) and an interfacing block (IB). A suite of software applications with flows and interfaces developed from a grower-centric perspective was designed and implemented on a multi-tier architecture. The operation of the platform was validated through implementation of sensing and control nodes, application of software for configuration and visualization, and deployment in typical greenhouses.

Based To solve the problem of incomplete monitoring information,single function and low extensibility of public bus monitoring system,a remote digital monitoring system of public bus based on embedded platform is designed. Bus stop announcer,CAN controller,satisfaction evaluator and other vehicle electronic equipment are integrated into vehicle terminal,which collect,transmit and feedback real time data such as the location of bus,bus station information,running state parameters,satisfaction and vehicle scheduling information. The remote monitoring center receives the data and generates the visualizations webpage at the same time. Bus remote monitoring system is established,and the operation efficiency and security of public bus is improved.After large amounts of running and tests,result of the test indicates the monitoring data received from this system is reliable and stabilized.

Estrogen-like substances have been suspected to cause feminization of wild fish in rivers in Japan. To elucidate the influence of estrogen-like substances on fish in river, we have started to develop the on-site continuous fish exposure system using medaka Oryzias latipes that were placed in water quality monitoring stations along a river. Adult male medaka were exposed to the river water in a glass exposure tank placed in the monitoring stations. Flow rate of water and water temperature were controlled at 30L/hour and 26°C respectively, and a light: dark cycle was maintained 16:8 hours. A commercial diet free from phyto-estrogens was fed 4 times in a day using automatic feeder. After 2-week exposure, hepatic vitellogenin concentration of each male medaka was measured. The exposure tests were repeatedly performed at both the upstream and the downstream of sewage treatment plants along the River Tama which is a representative urbanized river in Japan. At the control site Haijimabashi monitoring station, vitellogenin was not detected in male medaka. On the other hand, at the Ishihara monitoring station which is the most downstream in this test area, every male medaka were produced vitellogenin in the test performed in the spring of 2004. As the results of the water quality analysis, it could be inferred that the estrone derived from effluents of sewage treatment plants caused the feminization of male medaka. The reason why the concentrations of the estrone and the estrogenic activity using DNA recombinant yeast varied in proportion to the electric conductivity of river water measured at the water quality monitoring station. Furthermore, after continuous 2-week exposure, the vitellogenin production of male medaka was reduced similar to the decrease of the concentrations of the estrone and the estrogenic activity of river water.

Environment monitoring system in industrial area and Safety of workers is system to monitor the pollution inside the factories and provide safety place for the workers and uses Wi-Fi to transfer the data to the control room. The main objective of the project is to monitor the  pollution  which comes from factories to protect the environment and workers inside factories are used to Measure the CO Content and getting a message through GSM the Value is transferred when it is more than the threshold. It also uses monitor the temperature and display on LCD, when the value more than the standard value by getting SMS on the GSM and Buzzer on. It also measures the PH level of the water and display the values on the LCD. These values of humidity is displayed on LCD. One of the specific function of this system is it by Count the number of workers who are entry or leaving from the factory. A wireless System is used to Transfer these data (temperature and IR) to remote monitoring station.
