In the course of validating a test battery for the selection of police officers (Baehr, Furcon, & Froemel, 1969), project personnel were searching for objectively scored, pencil-and-paper measures of behavior variables. One product of this search was an adaptation of the Arrow-Dot subtest of the four-part IES test battery (Dombrose & Slobin, 1958). This adaptation was designed for group administration and for improved reliability as a possible predictor of performance. Intercorrelational analysis and factor analysis of intercorrelations with other potential predictor variables and performance criteria provided some information on the nature of the Arrow-Dot scores. The test's ability to predict police officers' performance was assessed through multiple regression analyses of its scores both as independent predictors and as contributors of unique variance in a wider predictor battery. Its usefulness for diagnosis of specific problems in police officers' performance was also investigated. Application in five additional studies permitted an exploration of the “characteristic” Arrow-Dot dimension profile for police officers.

The purpose of the study were 1) to describe  motivation ,and work environment on performance of building construction project personnel MTsN II Bojonegoro., 2) to determine and analyze the simultaneous effect of simultaneous motivation and working environment significantly against performance of building construction project personnel MTsN II Bojonegoro , 3) to determine and analyze the partial effect  motivation and working environment significantly to the performance of building construction project personnel MTsN II Bojonegoro, 4) to determine and analyze between , motivation, and working environment has dominant influence towards performance of building construction project personnel MTsN II Bojonegoro. This research was conducted with a population of as many as 27 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire in the form of a statement list. Data analysis technique used is the multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 17.0. Based on the results obtained regression analysis test F value of 11.128 with a signification level of 0.000, which means that simultaneous motivate and work environment has a significant influence on the performance of.The value of building construction project personnel MTsN II Bojonegoro coefficient of determinant of  = 0.481 means that 48.1% of medical personnel’s performance can be explained by the motivation and the environment and the rest 51.9% influence by other variables beyond the motivation and work environment.t value variable motivation () of 3.239 with a significance level of 0.003. t value variable environment () amounted to 2.516 with significance level of 0.003

PurposeThis study aimed to examine the digital transformation of business-to-business (B2B) sales and its effects on the management of value-based selling.Design/methodology/approachThe study adopted a qualitative interview research design. A total of two participant groups—one consisting of sales management professionals and the other consisting of buyers—were created to conduct abductive data analysis to gain a new understanding of B2B sales management.FindingsAs a result of the digital transformation of sales, companies are shifting B2B sales towards value-based selling using a more proactive, continuous process wherein digital value co-creation activities play a big role. Similarly, their buyers now expect more proactive communication about new value propositions, but social media channels are of little importance to most B2B buyers. The management of digital value co-creation activities should be addressed from the sales ecosystem perspective, where non-sellers tend to have a strong role in communicating new value propositions.Research limitations/implicationsThere needs to be further research on digital value co-creation activities in the sales ecosystem, as value-based selling requires that selling organizations focus more on educational digital content marketing and engagement with non-sellers via both marketing and sales activities.Practical implicationsCompanies rarely exploit experts and project personnel when implementing digital sales strategies; however, they often meet with customers personally and network with them. This requires a broader perspective on sales management.Originality/valueThis is one of the first studies to explore the management of value-based selling from both seller and buyer perspectives.

The Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA) has developed a new, performance-based construction specification for ride quality. The new specification was developed as a strategy to meet an objective in the MDSHA business plan that requires the percentage of smoother pavements to increase statewide over the next 5 years. The new specification allows the use of inertial profiler testing devices as well as California-style rolling-wheel profilographs and includes incentive- and disincentive-based pay adjustments for asphalt paving. The specification includes an innovative approach to establishing acceptable ride quality values that considers many of the factors that affect the ability to construct a smooth riding surface. In addition, the specification includes clear identification of pay adjustments that are calculated using a software application developed by MDSHA. The new specification is to be included in all projects advertised after July 1, 2001, and implementation involves efforts to train construction project personnel in the use of the specification. Future implementation efforts phase out the use of the California-style profilograph by 2004. The efforts completed to date to develop the new specification are described, and highlights of the new specification are provided.

The key to any successful water related project is a successful financing project. This paper deals with the need to develop cooperation and understanding between administrative managers who must select and implement the necessary financing program and the project personnel who plan design and implement the physical program. The paper also examines the various financing vehicles that are available to the governmental managers in a volatile international money market and the need to mesh project implementation to favorable financing schemes. Several methods of financing are discussed with some references to bond rating criteria. The principal theme is the need for flexibility in all phases of project financing.
