Li-ion power battery which has a broad prospect of application in many industry fields is a new type of high power battery. The formation-testing and sorting-packing are necessary processes in battery manufacture. Currently the process of formation almost takes the way of monomer battery, then sorting and packing by measuring the parameters of its internal resistance, voltage and capacity. The operation is complicated and the amount of data is huge. On account of the problem, we propose a new process of battery modularization. It can greatly reduce the workload of the parameter testing when using the optimized process. And batteries can get a good consistency, which is favor of sorting-packing and production automation.

Abstract Production systems are no longer rigid, unyielding, and isolated systems anymore. They are rather interconnected cyber-physical systems with an evolution process that needs to be supported. To enable reusability in evolution, a change-first cooperative support is proposed that relies on model-based evolution steps. The approach establishes a network-wide evolution process in a peer-to-peer networked community. Thus, moving towards decentralised marketplaces for evolution steps.

Transplanting of plug seedling is one of the most important operations during vegetable and flower production. Due to the higher labor intensity and lower efficiency for the operation, it is difficult to enlarge production scale for vegetables and flowers. Although transplanting of plug seedling is now common method, all operations are still manually conducted in China. To enlarge productivity for increasing food supply, it has become an urgent task to achieve automation of plug seedling transplanting for Chinese horticulture industry. This paper deals with the automatic transplanter for plug seedling, which is significant to promote development of production automation of seedling nursing and transplanting in China. Then, the simple, practical automatic transplanter for plug seedling, including manipulator, conveyor system for plug tray and flowerpots, overall structure and PLC control system was designed. Finally, Prototype was manufactured and performance tests were conducted. Results showed that the automatic transplanter had reliable transplanting performance.

The paper is devoted to the problem of increasing the efficiency of melon processing under limited production automation. Measures for equipment modernization should be carried out in accordance with the operation rules of each individual unit. In production conditions, all equipment, without exception, undergoes this process, while the corresponding documentation is drawn up, confirming the implementation of modernization within a certain time frame. In a competitive market environment, product quality is a causal factor for the sharp increase in risks for food industry enterprises. To produce quality and competitive products, you need equipment that helps to reduce costs. The disadvantages of most melon peeling designs are size instability in the thickness of the rind. The paper presents a solution to this drawback. This was achieved by changing the sharpening angle of the rind cutting knife. Research has been carried out to study the texture properties of “Mirzachulskaya” and “Raduzhnaya” melons. And also experiments on melon peeling based on the planning matrix of mathematical modeling. Based on the experiments, a model of the peeling process was constructed. The key factors to limit peeling waste were optimized. Calculations of the optimized parameters yielded the cutting knife sharpening angle of 40 degrees, a roller gap of 9 mm, as well as an average force applied of 1,375 N∙m. The data obtained can be used as a basis for the modernization of this machine for other melon varieties

The paper deals with strategic issues of creating promising products and conducting research and development work from the point of view of an enterprise planning to produce integrated production automation tools. One of the main goals of the manufacturer of integrated automation tools is to enter the international market. The most important condition for achieving this goal is the presence of its own integrated and regular architecture of the relevant application systems, which provides the possibility of integrating newly created products and the results of research and development work as part of a planned automated system. Thus, we are talking about creating a wide family of products that are compatible at the conceptual, architectural, and hardware-software levels. The proposed approach will allow for significant savings in capital investment in the development of new products and systems due to the comparative ease of integration of previously developed products.
