This article completes our short series in which we have reviewed various types of appliance therapy. The present article considers the more advanced fixed appliances with special reference to the Begg and Edgewise techniques. Indications for the choice of fully banded appliances from the start of treatment are discussed. This final article in common with the preceding ones is not a comprehensive review of the whole range of fixed techniques available to the orthodontist but representative and illustrated by two case reports.

This is the first of a short series of articles in which it is proposed to review various types of appliance treatment available to the orthodontist. In the present article the simpler forms of treatment are considered; treatment without orthodontic appliances or with removable appliances only. In future article consideration will be given to the combined use of removable and fixed appliances, and finally of the more advanced, wholly fixed techniques.

The modern world is currently facing an epidemic of life style related diseases as a result of improper diet,sedentary life style and stress.Ayurveda has great contribution in prevention of the diseases as well as treatment of diseases.Ayurveda has given equal importance to Ahara and Vihara.All types of activities are included in Vihara.Vihara is a very broad concept.It has a key role in Swasthavrutta,Nidana and Chikitsa.The present article mainly focuses on the Nidana (Hetu-reason) aspect of Vihara as the Nidana Parivarjana is the prime treatment of any disease. Modern era’s changing lifestyle along with changing food culture has given birth to various diseases.Amlapitta is one of the most common diseases seen in the society.The disease Amlapitta is not directly mentioned in Bruhatrayi.Acharya Kashaypa was the first to describe Amlapitta as a disease.Viharaja  Hetu play important role in the pathogenesis of Amlapitta.

Solitary fibrous tumors of the spine are rare lesions. Their description in the literature is limited to case reports and small case series. While generally benign lesions, they can recur and occasionally occur as malignancies. Here the authors present the case of a 10-year-old boy, the youngest patient and first preadolescent reported thus far, with this condition. In addition, they perform a comprehensive review of all previously published cases of spinal solitary fibrous tumors.

AbstractA comprehensive review, >100 references, on organotin(IV) complexes of the carboxylic acid derivatives are presented with special reference to their methods of synthesis, spectroscopic and structural studies and their biological activities. The structures of these complexes are discussed on the basis of IR, multinuclear (1H-, 13C- and 119Sn-) NMR.

Abstract Poetry in general and lyric poetry in particular are perhaps the most difficult types of texts to be rendered from one language into another without much change in meaning and structure. That is why folkloric songs could be considered as toilsome to be rendered, because they are often culture-bound. Moreover, they have a highly complicated sign structure which plays an important role in transmitting culture. It may be helpful and useful to investigate a number of difficulties in translating these rhymed texts which reflect certain aspects of culture (social, political and ecological, among others). Despite the dearth of references, the authors have succeeded in obtaining the necessary data of translating these folkloric songs. They aim to reach modest findings which could be beneficial to students of translation. In this paper, it may be useful to introduce some ideas about the nature of translation and translatability as well as literary translation with special reference to the semantic vs. communicative translation. It also aims to shed light on the translatability of some Jordanian folkloric songs. This study partly provides examples of the authors' translations from Arabic into English, which are only attempts of translating these literary texts. The translations are meant only for the aim of comparison or to support data. Some conclusions and recommendations about the translatability of folkloric songs are reached. Résumé La poésie en général et la poésie lyrique en particulier sont probablement les types de textes les plus difficiles à reproduire d'une langue dans une autre sans introduction de changement de signification ou de structure. C'est la rasion pour laquelle les chants folkloriques, généralement liés à la culture sont difficiles à traduire. De plus, la structure des signes est éminemment compliquée et joue un rôle important au niveau de la transmission de la teneur culturelle. Il peut donc être intéressant et utile d'analyser un certain nombre de difficultés qui surgissent lors de la traduction de ces textes rythmés qui reflètent certains aspects culturels (sociaux, politiques et écologiques, entres autres). En dépit du manque de références, les auteurs sont parvenus à obtenir les informations nécessaires à la traduction de ces chants folkloriques. Leur but est d'obtenir certains indications susceptibles d'être précieuses pour les étudiants en traduction. Dans le présent article, les auteurs ont estimé qu'il pouvait être utile d'introduire certains notions concernant la nature de la traduction et de la traductibilité mais aussi de la traduction littéraire, en particulier dans le domaine de l'opposition traduction sémantique — traduction communicative. Les auteurs souhaitent aussi aborder la traductibilité de certains chants folkloriques jordaniens, et ce à l'aide d'exemples de traductions arabe-anglais réalisées par les auteurs mais qui ne sont d'après ces derniers que des essais de traduction de ces textes littéraires. Ces traductions visent uniquement à comparer les informations ou à fournir des indications utiles. Ce faisant ils sont parvenus à formuler un certain nombre de conclusions et de recommendations concernant la traductibilité des chants folkloriques.

The present article deals with the theme of negative stereotyping in the backdrop of identity and representation in Native American drama with special reference to Scott Momaday's The Indolent Boys, The Moon in Two Windows, and Howe & Gordon's Indian Radio Days. By assuming an explicit postcolonial angle, these plays consciously subvert the project of negative stereotyping of the natives by employing the ideological vocabulary of the mainstream Euro-American discourse. In this way, the native American drama has become a significant site of deconstructing the binary of 'us' and 'them' by reversing the logic of imperialism and by resisting against the exploitative history of colonization.

Vañcaikkaḷam is a Śiva-sthala in the Kuṭṭanāḍu region of Kēraḷa. It is one among the + 280 sthalas extolled in the Tēvāram (7.4) hymns. Noted for the typical Kēraḷa temple-type, it is unique in several respects. Saints Cēramāṉ Perumāḷ and Cuntarar are associated with the venue, and they are supposed to have visited the Kailāsa on the Himālayas in person, a rare honour that Śiva confers on the Nāyaṉmār. This may be a metaphor for considering Vañcaikkaḷam as the Śiva-loka on earth or the Dakṣiṇa-Kailāsa. Research on the architecture and iconography of the temple is scanty excepting the tidbits in Sarkar 1978 and Paramesvaran Pillai 1986. The present article presents an account of the temple from literature, and fieldbased study of architecture and iconography with special reference to the rare Rāmāyaṇa wood-carved sculptures. Persistent genital arousal disorder is a rare condition characterized by unwanted intrusive symptoms of sexual arousal without specific context. Their possible aetiologies and treatments are multiple and mostly based on case reports. We aim to do a comprehensive review of persistent genital arousal disorder and describe a case of a postmenopausal woman who developed this disease and, during the follow-up, was diagnosed with advanced endometrial cancer, reminding physicians to keep in mind the possibility of multiple diagnosis in the same patient, including malignancy. Although there is no description of this association in the literature, the possible aetiologies of persistent genital arousal disorder are diverse, and we sought this rare case should be disclosed.
