AQUAfilling® gel has been described as human tissue biocompatible sterile synthetic material. In the literature, there are some cases presenting the complications of gel application. Rupture of implant, leakage, and migration of the gel are the most common complications. The radiologic findings due to gel leaking may mask many breast lesions including malignancy. In this case, the aim was to present the sonographic findings and elastographic features of a histopathologic-proven mucocele-like lesion in breast, due to AQUAfilling® gel injection. This appears to be a rather unique case in the literature.

Selective embolization is the treatment of choice for traumatic renal pseudoaneurysm. The use of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) was recently described as an embolic agent in peripheral lesions. The aim of a good embolic agent is to: achieve rapid and effective embolization; reach and fill distal vasculature targeted for embolization; be easy to prepare and use. Moreover, it should be highly radiopaque, controllable during administration, biocompatible and cost-effective. EVOH is a non-adhesive embolic agent and its efficacy is independent from the coagulant status. The risk of non-targeted embolization should be reduced by the good radio-opacity of the embolic material that is injected under continuous fluoroscopy. Nevertheless, symptomatic EVOH migration was described. We report a unique case of embolization of a renal pseudoaneurysm and migration of EVOH in the urinary tract. Retrograde trans-urethral removal of the migrated embolic agent was successfully performed. Our case report indicates that EVOH may not be appropriate when a fistula with renal calyx is suspected, even if its migration in the urinary tract may be managed.

The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 reunited factions of not just one, but two formerly divided countries: Germany and Vietnam. Utilizing this theoretically unique case of Vietnamese refugee and immigrant resettlement in Germany, I ask: How do ethnic Vietnamese individuals’ perceptions of coethnics complicate or reinforce social divisions? This essay is based on participant-observation in various sites across Berlin and semi-structured, in-depth interviews. In noting how respondents at times naturalize or reject differences among Vietnamese from varying regions of origin and migration streams, I consider how they reproduce coethnic divisions, at times to protect their societal standing in Germany.

Introduction: Insoluble fibronectin as an extracellular matrix (ECM) protein has the potential to promote proliferation, differentiation, and migration of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). However, there is limited information about the effects of fibronectin various concentrations on bone marrow-derived MSCs (BMMSCs) function and differentiation. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, using a gel injection device, BMMSCs were encapsulated in sodium alginate microcapsules containing 1.25% alginate, 1% gelatin, and four different concentrations of fibronectin (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.2 µg/ml). MTT assay was used to examine the proliferation of BMMSCs in des. Also, BMMSCs apoptosis rates were calculated using Annexin-V/PI staining and FACS analysis within 48 hours of exposure. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) test was conducted to assess BMMSCs osteogenic differentiation. Finally, mRNA expression levels of the SP7, osteocalcin (OCN), Twist Family BHLH Transcription Factor 1 (Twist1), Peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor γ2 (PPARγ2), Cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), and Zinc Finger And BTB Domain Containing 16 (ZBTB16), which involved in MSCs differentiation process were evaluated using Real-Time PCR following exposure with fibronectin 0.1 µg/ml. Result: According to results, fibronectin had the potential to promote proliferation rates of the BMMSCs, in particular at 0.1 and 0.2 µg/ml concentrations. On the other hand, we showed that various concentrations of the fibronectin were not able to modify apoptosis rates of the BMMSCs, negatively or positively. Notable potential of the fibronectin, to trigger osteogenic differentiation of the BMMSCs was documented. Also, RT-PCR results indicated that fibronectin could augment osteogenic differentiation of cultured BMMSCs Conclusion: Results showed that fibronectin can improve proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of BMMSCs without any effect on these cells' survival.

There are rare case reports of tracheal diverticula or paratracheal air cysts. These cases, however, were reported mostly as incidental sonographic or radiologic findings without histologic confirmation. Furthermore, the handful of studies that describe this entity histopathologically report only cases in patients with prior respiratory symptoms. Here, we report a rare case of an asymptomatic 60-year-old female with no significant past medical history who presented with primary hyperparathyroidism. She was found to have an incidental right paraesophageal air-filled diverticulum with multiple thin septations on her imaging studies. She was taken to surgery and the histologic examination of the specimen revealed multiloculated cystic cavity lined by respiratory-type columnar epithelium with lymphocytic infiltrate and minor salivary glands within the surrounding stroma, rendering the diagnosis of tracheal diverticula.

After experimetnal damage to the retina with a variety of procedures Müller cell hypertrophy and migration occurs. According to Kuwabara and others the reactive process in these injuries is evidenced by a marked increase in amount of glycogen in the Müller cells. These cells were considered originally supporting elements with fiber processes extending throughout the retina from inner limiting membrane to external limiting membrane, but are known now to have high lactic acid dehydrogenase activity and the ability to synthesize glycogen. Since the periodic acid-chromic acid-silver methenamine technique was shown to demonstrate glycogen at the electron microscope level, it was selected to react with glycogen in the fine processes of the Müller cell that ramify among the neural elements in various layers of the retina and demarcate these cells cytologically. The Rhesus monkey was chosen as an example of a well vascularized retina and the rabbit as an example of a avascular retina to explore the possibilities of the technique.

As was demonstrated by the present authors that atomic structure of simple crystal can be photographed by the conventional 100 kV electron microscope adjusted at “aberration free focus (AFF)” condition. In order to operate the microscope at AFF condition effectively, highly stabilized electron beams with small energy spread and small beam divergence are necessary. In the present observation, a 120 kV electron microscope with LaB6 electron gun was used. The most of the images were taken with the direct electron optical magnification of 1.3 million times and then magnified photographically.1. Twist boundary of ZnSFig. 1 is the image of wurtzite single crystal with twist boundary grown on the surface of zinc crystal by the reaction of sulphur vapour of 1540 Torr at 500°C. Crystal surface is parallel to (00.1) plane and electron beam is incident along the axis normal to the crystal surface. In the twist boundary there is a dislocation net work between two perfect crystals with a certain rotation angle.
