Female model has a variety of body image and experiences social pressure to have low weight. Thus, there is a desire to lose weight with a variety of efforts, such as fad diets. This type of diet can lead to insufficient intake of nutrients in the body and increase the risk of health problems in the long run. The research aimed to analyze fad diets, nutritional status, and nutritional adequacy of female models in Malang. The research design was cross-sectional in 52 female models aged 18–25 years who were selected by simple random sampling. The data of fad diets used in the questionnaire, nutritional status data using the calculation of the last body weight and height, and nutritional adequacy were measured using 2 × 24 hour food recall. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results of this research showed that most respondents implement fad diets (69%), had negative body image (62%), had a skinny at high level (22%), skinny at mild level (44%), and normal (33%) of nutritional status, and had inadequate nutritional adequacy (77%). There was a significant ( p = 0.023 ) correlation between fad diets and nutritional adequacy (r = 0.369), and in addition, there was a significant correlation ( p = 0.041 ) between nutritional status and nutritional adequacy (r = 0.35). It is concluded that the female models who implemented fad diets and nutritional status below normal tended to not have adequate levels of nutritional adequacy because of improper food selection and psychological factors. Female models are expected to be able to conduct weight loss with the assistance of a nutritionist or in accordance with balanced nutrition guidelines.

Background: The dissatisfaction with their body shapes is commonly found among female adolescents. The lack of the contentment lead them to gain an ideal body shape but, unfortunately, they implement improper eating behaviour. The extreme diet they have affects negatively to their nutritional status. This study was aimed at analyzing the association between the body image and eating behaviour with nutritional status of female adolescents. Methods: The study was cross-sectional on 72 female students of grade X, XI and XII in Theresiana Senior High School Semarang. The samples were taken based on simple random sampling. The samples were fulfilled inclusive criterion. The data were gathered by using questionnaires and focus group discussion (FGD). The FGD was intended to find more data on body image. Nutritional status data was obtained by measuring weight and height.  Then, z-score was calculated based on BMI/ U by using WHO Anthro Plus 2007. Results: A total of 29 subjects (40.3%) were not satisfied with their body shape and 43 subjects (59.7%) were satisfied with their body shape. The majority (56.9%) subjects have not good eating behavior yet, whereas 43.1 % of them have good eating behavior. There were significant association between body image with nutritional status (r = 0.482 p = 0.001) and eating behavior with nutritional status (r = 0.507 p = 0.001). Conclusion: Body image and the eating behavior were associated with nutritional status of female adolescents.

Background: Nutrition is an important part of the body needs for growth and development of children. Childhood, especially toddler is a period of growth and development of the most rapidly. Toddler nutritional adequacy is depend on the child's mother. Lack of knowledge about nutrition will reduced ability to apply in everyday life, this is one of the causes of malnutrition in toddler. In addition, nutritional problems in toddler is also due to breastfeeding practices and complementary feeding was not appropriate in terms of both quantity and quality. Purpose: Objective of this research is to determine correlation between mother’s knowledge, exclusive breestfeeding and patterns time of complementary feeding with nutritional status of toddlers at Kembaran village, Kembaran district, Banyumas regency. Method: The research design use descriptive correlation with cross-sectional approach. Population in this study were all mothers who have toddlers age 6-24 months at Kembaran village as many as 148 people. Sampling technique use simple random sampling with 66 samples. Data analyze with Chi Square test. Instrumental research use questionnaires and nutritional status with weight/aged indicators. Result: There was significant correlation between mother’s knowledge (p value = 0,012), exclusive breastfeeding (p value = 0,039) and patterns time of complementary feeding (p value = 0,039) with the nutritional status of toddlers at Kembaran village. Conclusion: There was correlation between mother knowledge, exclusive breestfeeding and patterns time of complementary feeding with the nutritional status of toddlers. It is recommended to the toddler's mother to improve the quality of breastfeeding, complementary feeding and give breesfeeding to their babies up to 2 years in order to maintain the nutritional status  who have been good status.

Background: Nutritional status is the best indicator of the child health. Malnutrition has both short and long term adverse ramifications. As per NFHS III 47% children are stunted in the state of Chhattisgarh. However still many communities in the tribal dominated and naxal affected state may remain affected, hence the study was planned to identify the nutritional status of children and find out its determinant.Methods: Present cross-sectional study was conducted among 12-59 months children in the urban slum of Jagdalpur city, Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. Predesigned and pretested questionnaire was administered to the caregiver of the child, information on socio-demographic characteristics was obtained and anthropometric measurements were taken. Statistical Analysis: all frequencies were derived for completeness of data. WHO Anthro Software version 3.1.0 was used to classify the malnutrition status. Chi-square test was applied to find association between dependent variables.Results: Out of 225 children 53.3% were boys and 46.7% were girls. The overall prevalence of underweight stunting and wasting was 28.4%, 41.3%, and 19.1% respectively.Conclusions: Prevalence of underweight has reduced in the district over a period of years. However high level of stunting, a sign of chronic hunger points towards the pivotal role of socio-demographic and behavioral practices prevalent in the district. Interaction with health system in the form of ANC, institutional delivery and safeguarding effective 100% immunization coverage has shown preventive effect.

ABSTRAK Data Riskesdas 2018 menunjukkan bahwa 25,7% remaja usia 13-15 tahun dan 26,9% remaja usia 16-18 tahun dengan status gizi pendek dan sangat pendek. Selain itu terdapat 8,7% remaja usia 13-15 tahun dan 8,1% remaja usia 16-18 tahun dengan kondisi kurus dan sangat kurus. Sedangkan prevalensi berat badan lebih dan obesitas sebesar 16,0% pada remaja usia 13-15 tahun dan 13,5% pada remaja usia 16-18 tahun. Data tersebut merepresentasikan kondisi gizi pada remaja di Indonesia yang harus diperbaiki. Berdasarkan baseline survey UNICEF pada tahun 2017, ditemukan adanya perubahan pola makan dan aktivitas fisik pada remaja. Gizi merupakan salah satu faktor utama penentu kualitas hidup dan sumber daya manusia. Tujuan penelitian Untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku makan terhadap status gizi pada siswi SMAN 2 Tambang 2018. Penelitian ini mengunakan jenis kuantitatif analitik dengan desain cross sectional.  Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa putri SMAN 2 Tambang dari kelas XI sebanyak 240 orang  dengan sampel sebanyak 71 orang. Hasil uji Chi Square didapatkan nilai p=0,01 (≤ 0,05. Ada hubungan yang signifikan perilaku makan dengan status gizi pada remaja putr di SMAN 2 Tambang.Kata Kunci : perilaku makan; status gizi;  remaja putri  RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EATING BEHAVIOR WITH NUTRITIONAL STATUS IN FEMALE ADOLESCENT AT TAMBANG STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 2 ABSTRACT  According to the report of Indonesian Health Research in 2018 showed that 25.7% of adolescents aged 13-15 years and 26.9% of adolescents aged 16-18 years have a short and very short nutritional status. In addition, there were 8.7% adolescents aged 13-15 years and 8.1% adolescents aged 16-18 years with thin and very thin conditions. Meanwhile, the prevalence of overweight and obesity was 16.0% in adolescents aged 13-15 years and 13.5% in adolescents aged 16-18 years. Nutrition is one of the main factors determining the quality of life and human resources. Nutrients are chemicals found in food that the body needs to maintain health and immunity; adolescents are one of the groups that are prone to experiencing nutritional problems. The research objective was to determine the relationship between eating behavior and the nutritional status of students at SMAN 2 Tambang 2018. This research method used a quantitative analytic research type, with a cross sectional study design. The populations in this study were all 12 students of Tambang State Senior High School 2 from class XI totaling 240 students. The sample in this study was some of the 71 class students. The results of the Chi Square test showed that the value of p = 0.01 (≤ 0.05), this means that statistically there is a relationship between eating behavior and nutritional status in young girls. Keywords: eating behavior; nutritional status; female adolescent

Background: Taekwondo is a physical activity or body movement that is conducted repeatedly with muscles as the most active organ. The problems that occurs to the athletes is the poor-organized consumption pattern, thus they lack of nutritional intake. The good nutritional intake is obtained from the sufficient nutritional intake so that the physical fitness becomes better. Meanwhile, young adults require sufficient nutritional intake so that their physical fitness can be better.Objective: This research aimed to analyze the relationship between the nutritional intake and nutrition status with the physical fitness of the university students joining the student activity unit of taekwondo in Universitas Airlangga Surabaya.Methods: This research was the analytical research with the cross-sectional design. The sample of the research was as many as 52 people who were acquired by utilizing the simple random sampling. The data collection included nutritional status by measuring the weight and height to figure out the Body Mass Index (BMI) and 2x24 hours food recall to understand the food intake.Results: The result demonstrated that there was a relationship between the nutritional status (p=0.014) and the intake of energy, protein, carbohydrate, and fat (p=0.05) had no relationship with the physical fitness.Conclusions: It could that the nutritional status was related to the physical fitness. The respondents who had normal nutrition status obtained the good physical fitness. There should be the addition of information regarding the nutrients to obtain the good nutritional status.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Taekwondo merupakan aktivitas fisik atau gerakan anggota tubuh yang dilakukan secara berulang dan organ yang paling aktif yaitu otot. Permasalah yang sering terjadi pada olahragawan yaitu suka konsumsi makanan yang tidak teratur sehingga asupan gizinya kurang tercukupi. Asupan gizi yang baik diperoleh dari asupan gizi yang cukup sehingga kebugaran jasmaninya baik.Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan antara asupan zat gizi makro dan status gizi dengan kebugaran jasmani mahasiswa UKM taekwondo.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 52 orang, diambil secara acak sederhana menggunakan simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data meliputi status gizi dengan cara penimbangan berat dan pengukuran tinggi badan untuk mengetahui Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT), food recall 2x24 untuk mengetahui asupan makannya dan tes balke untuk kebugaran jasmani. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan kolerasi pearson.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara status gizi (p=0,014) dengan kebugaran jasmani sedangkan asupan energi, protein, karbohidrat dan lemak (P=0,05) tidak terdapat hubungan dengan kebugaran jasmani.Kesimpulan: Status gizi berhubungan dengan kebugaran jasmani. Responden yang memiliki status gizi normal cenderung memiliki kebugaran jasmani yang baik. Perlu dilakukan penambahan informasi terkait zat gizi agar tercipta status gizi yang baik.

ABSTRACT<br /><br />Background: The problem of growth among underfi ves in Indonesia is related to the number of infants that are given<br />complementary  feeding since the age of one month. It infl uenced the prevalence of undernourishment 3.25% and<br />malnutritionat District of Kadia become higher. Those nutrition problem can be affected by inability to provide foods as<br />needed by members of the family, knowledge and behavior of the family in food selection, cook and distribute the food<br />in the family. Another problem is lack of mothers' attention to monitor the child growth and development<br />Objective: To study the factors associated with mothers' behavior in the supply of complementary breastfeeding to<br />infants of 6–24 months at Perumnas Health Center Subdistrict of Kadia Kendari Municipality.<br />Method: This analytical study used a cross sectional design and quantitative and qualitative method. Subject were mothers'<br />of underfi ves who fulfi lled inclusion criteria at the working area of Perumnas Health Center District of Kadia Kendari<br />Municipality. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique. Research instruments were questionnaire<br />and indepth interview guide. Data analysis used chi square and double logistic regression test. Qualitative data were<br />analyzed manually and presented in narration.<br />Result: Predisposition factors signifi cantly associated with mothers' behavior in the supply of complementary breastfeeding<br />were mothers' education (p=0.025; OR=3.27), family income (p=0.007; OR=4.65), knowledge of mothers (p=0.05;<br />OR=2.75), and mothers' attitude (p=0.027; OR=2.92). Another supporting factor, i.e. participation of mothers in the<br />integrated service post (posyandu) was signifi cantly associated with behavior in the supply of complementary breastfeeding<br />(p=0.008; OR=3.65). Encouraging factors associated with the behavior of mother in the supply of complementary<br />breastfeeding were support of the health staff (p=0.005; OR=4.21) and the family (p=0.041; OR=4.22).<br />Conclusion: The result of multivariate analysis showed that the factor most dominantly associated with the behavior in<br />the supply of complementary breastfeeding was education of mothers (p=0.012; OR=5,40).<br />KEYWORDS: behavior, complementary breastfeeding, infants of 6 – 24 months<br /><br />ABSTRAK<br />Latar Belakang: Masalah gangguan pertumbuhan balita di Indonesia berkaitan dengan banyaknya bayi yang sudah<br />diberi makanan pendamping ASI (MPASI) sejak usia kurang dari atau 1 bulan. Hal ini mengakibatkan prevalensi gizi<br />kurang dan buruk di Kecamatan Kadia cukup tinggi. Masalah gizi ini dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kemampuan menyediakan<br />pangan sesuai dengan kebutuhan anggota keluarga, pengetahuan dan perilaku keluarga dalam memilih, mengolah,<br />dan membagi makanan di tingkat rumah tangga. Permasalahan lain kurangnya perhatian ibu untuk memantau tumbuh<br />kembang balitanya.<br />Tujuan:  Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku ibu dalam pemberian MPASI pada anak usia<br />6-24 bulan di Puskesmas Perumnas Kecamatan Kadia, Kota Kendari.<br />Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional, menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan <br />kualitatif. Subjek adalah ibu balita yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Perumnas Kecamatan<br />Kadia, Kota Kendari. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 97 subjek. Pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Data<br />dikumpulkan dengan panduan wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis dengan Chi-Square dan uji regresi logistik berganda.<br />Data kualitatif dianalisis secara manual dan disajikan dalam bentuk narasi.<br />Hasil: Dari faktor-faktor predisposisi, yang mempunyai hubungan bermakna dengan perilaku ibu dalam pemberian MPASI<br />adalah pendidikan ibu (p=0,025; RP = 3,27), pendapatan per kapita keluarga (p=0,007; RP = 4,65), pengetahuan ibu<br />(p= 0,05; RP= 2,75), dan sikap ibu (p = 0,027; RP=2,92) dengan perilaku pemberian MPASI. Dari faktor pendukung,<br />partisipasi ibu ke posyandu mempunyai hubungan bermakna dengan perilaku pemberian MPASI (p=0,008; RP=3,65),<br />sedangkan dari faktor pendorong yang berhubungan dengan perilaku ibu dalam pemberian MPASI adalah dukungan<br />petugas kesehatan (p=0,005; RP=4,21) dan dukungan keluarga (p=0,041; RP=4,22). Anemia can cause a risk to adolescent girls both long term and in the short term. One of the factors influence anemia in adolescents is nutrition status. This study aims to determine of anemia in adolescent with nutritional status in adolescent girls The Design of this study is cross sectional. The sample of this study is 84 adolesent girls, people was selected by simple random sampling technique from all student at class x ech high school on 2-3 August 2016. hemoglobin levels was checked by a digital, nutritional status examination of weight and height. Data were analyzed with univariate and bivariate chi square. The results of the study shows that the prevalence of anemia in adolescent is 45.2%, nutritional status underwieght is 14,3%. There is no relationship between anemia with nutrisional status (p-value=0,649). The conclusion of this research is the prevalence of anemia is still high,and there was no significant association between anemia and nutritisional status.

ABSTRACTOverweight is health problem that occurs because of imbalance between input and output energy causing the accumulation of excessive fat tissue in the body. There are several factors that can lead to overweight are excess of dietary pattern, physical activity and sedentary lifestyle. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between dietary pattern, physical activity and the sedentary lifestyle with overweight incidence at SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya. This research is analyitic observational with cross sectional design. Accessible population sizes in this research are 679 students with numbers of samples are 157 students (simple random sampling). Data processing by using computer application with the univariate and bivariate analysis. The results analysed using chi square test with α = 0.05. The results showed correlation between sex (p = 0.041), mother’s job (p = 0.025), dietary pattern (p = 0.035) and physical activity (p= 0.015) with overweight. There was no correlation between parent’s education, father’s job, parent’s income, student’s pocket money, sedentary lifestyle with overweight. Suggestions for school to held morning gymnastics twice a week, also extends the extracurricular duration. Teenagers are expected to increase and balance the diet consumption.Keywords: physical activity, sedentary lifestyle, overweight, dietary pattern

Background: The fat body mass can be increased especially in adolescent girl. When fat body mass increased it can affect the nutritional status and body image. If someone wants to have the ideal body imaged, they can try to do diet to decreased fat body mass. Objectives:  This study aimed to analyze a relationship of dieting behavior with fat body mass at SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya.Methods: The design of the study was cross sectional involving 76 selected samples in the simple random sampling. The aimed of measuring body height, weight and body fat mass for scoring the nutritional status and percentage of fat body mass. Some characteristic of the respondents were age, amount of pocket money, physical activity and nutritional status. The data were analyzed by using Chi-Square correlation test with p<0.05.Results: The averaged of respondents age was 16 years old, most of all the amounted of pocket money from the respondents approximately IDR 25,000-75,000 (35.5%). The category of physical activity was mild (42.1%), and the nutritional status of respondents was normal (61.3%). Some of the respondents was doing a healthy diet (61.8%) with averaged score was 39.8. The averaged of body fat mass from the respondents was 25.24%. The result showing there was no relationship between diet behavior with fat body mass in girl adolescent (p>0.060).Conclusions: Diet behavior was not founded to be related to the fat body mass in female adolescent. Therefore the students needed to get more information about dieting behavior and fat body mass to prevented more nutritional problems.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Peningkatan massa lemak tubuh biasa dialami oleh remaja putri. Massa lemak tubuh yang berlebih akan berdampak pada status gizi serta bentuk tubuh. Diet merupakan salah satu cara untuk menurunkan massa lemak tubuh tersebut agar bentuk tubuh menjadi ideal.Tujuan:menganalisis hubungan antara perilaku diet dengan massa lemak tubuh remaja putri di SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dan melibatkan 76 responden yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan untuk menilai status gizi serta pengukuran persentase massa lemak tubuh menggunakan BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis). Wawancara dan pengisian kuesioner untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan perilaku diet responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi chi-square dengan p<0,05.Hasil: rata-rata usia subyek 15,93±0,64 tahun dengan rerata besar uang saku harian sebesar Rp 22.474±12.62i, Aktivitas fisik tingkat ringan sebanyak 42,1% siswi, dan status gizi responden berdasarkan IMT/U didominasi oleh kategori normal sebanyak 80,3%. Sebagian besar responden menjalankan diet sehat sebanyak 61,8% dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 39,8.Sebanyak 31,6% subyek dengan kategori massa lebih lebihHasil analisis menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan antara perilaku diet dengan persen lemak tubuh remaja putri (p>0,06).Kesimpulan: Perilaku diet tidak memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan massa lemak tubuh remaja putri. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk menganalisis faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan perilaku diet dan massa lemak tubuh pada remaja putri.

ABSTRACT   This research aims to know the difference between snacking habit and nutritional status of catering and non-catering food consumer in SD-UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh as well as knowing the corelation between snacking habit and nutritional status in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. This research used cross sectional design with thirty eight respondents were collected by Simple Random Sampling method. Snacking habit was obtained by using FFQ. The data were analyzed by using Chi-Square and Mann Whitney analysis. Univariate analysis showed that the snacking habit on catering food consumers was 28.5%, whereas on non-catering food consumers was 76.5%. Bivariate analysis result showed the difference between snacking (p= 0.004) and nutritional status ( p= 0.044) on catering and non-catering food consumers in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. There was no corelation between snacking habit and the nutritional status in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh (p= 0,117) and ( p=0,142). There was difference in snacking habit and nutritional status on students who were catering and non-catering consumers in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh and there was no corelation between snacking habit and nutritional status in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh.  Key words: Snacking habit, Nutritional status, catering food, non-catering food.  ABSTRAK Kebiasaan mengonsumsi jajan dapat mempengaruhi status gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kebiasaan jajan dan status gizi anak sekolah pengguna katering dan non-katering serta mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan jajan terhadap status gizi di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional dengan 38 responden dengan metode Simple Random Sampling. Kebiasaan konsumsi jajan diperoleh menggunakan FFQ. Data di analisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil uji univariat menunjukkan bahwa pada anak sekolah pengguna katering kebiasaan jajan yaitu sebesar 28,5% sedangkan anak sekolah yang non-katering sebesar 76,5%. Hasil uji bivariat menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kebiasaan jajan ( p = 0,004) dan status gizi ( p= 0,044) pada anak sekolah pengguna katering dan non-katering di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh serta tidak terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan jajan terhadap status gizi di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh (p= 0,117) dan (p= 0,142). Terdapat perbedaan kebiasaan konsumsi jajan dan status gizi pada anak sekolah pengguna katering dan non-katering di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh serta tidak terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan mengonsumsi jajan terhadap status gizi di SD UMP Purwokerto dan di SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh.  Kata Kunci: Kebiasaan jajan, Status Gizi, katering, non-katering.
