Sustainable urban evaluation is an important management tool to grasp the status of urban development in real time and to make policy adjustments. In this study, the evaluation indicator system is constructed from the three dimensions of economy, society, and environment. The ELECTRE (elimination et choice translation reality) model based on information entropy weighting is employed to evaluate urban sustainability. The model applies three-dimensional data to explore the dynamics of sustainable urban development. The spatial measurement model is used to explore the spatial effects of cities. Finally, 17 cities in Henan Province from 2013 to 2017 are used as case studies for urban sustainable development evaluation. The results show that, in 2013–2017, the sustainability of cities such as Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Sanmenxia was stable at a high level, while the sustainability levels of Kaifeng, Luohe, and Xinyang showed a fluctuating downward trend, and the sustainability levels of Puyang, Nanyang, and Xinxiang showed a fluctuating upward trend. Among the 17 cities, Zhengzhou has the highest sustainability level and its economic and social sustainability levels are significantly better than other cities. Zhoukou is the city with the lowest level of sustainability. In addition, from 2013 to 2016, the level of urban sustainability was not spatially correlated but gradually presented positive spatial correlation and the characteristics of clustering distribution in 2017. The cities such as Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Jiaozuo are mainly represented by “high-high (H-H)” agglomeration. In contrast, Shangqiu, Zhoukou, and Zhumadian are mainly represented by “low-low (L-L)” agglomeration. This research provides suggestions and decision-making support for promoting urban sustainability.

This research paper explores the possibilities for virtual reality (VR) documentation of media art installations. Based on an analysis of the characteristics of media art, and a survey of current documentation strategies, this paper investigates the viability of three-dimensional documentation. Four cross-disciplinary case studies are presented and analysed to demonstrate that VR documentation provides an immersive and richer reconstruction of a media art installation in three dimensions. In addition, the interactive components can be simulated within the VR environment, offering the possibility for curators and visitors to virtually re-experience the artwork. The case studies show that, although the creation of VR documentation can be costly and time-consuming, and currently requires a high-level of expertise, it can be a useful addition to established documentation strategies by providing essential information about the visual aspects of the artwork, its environment and the user’s multi-sensory experience.

Urbanization is a three-dimensional process including population, spatial, and economic changes. The coordination among the three dimensions is the key to sustainable urban development. Here, a population-land-industry index system of urbanization is constructed, and the degree of coupling and mutual feedback among population urbanization, land urbanization, and industrial urbanization are analyzed. The urbanization patterns and their spatiotemporal variation are identified. The results show that: (1) Population and land urbanization proceeded slowly in Gansu Province and their trends were similar, whereas industry urbanization proceeded faster than the two. From a spatial perspective, population, land, and industrial urbanization levels (PUi, LUi, and IUi) decreased from southwest to northeast. The coupling degree of population, land, and industrial urbanization increased from 1998 to 2016 and showed significant spatial variation, decreasing from northwest to southeast. (2) Population, land, and industry all play a role in urbanization. PUi was significantly and positively correlated with LUi. However, there was no significant correlation between IUi and PUi and between IUi and LUi. The improvement of PUi, LUi, and IUi effectively promoted the coupling degree of population, land, and industrial urbanization. (3) Seven urbanization patterns were identified in Gansu Province and evaluation units with the same urbanization pattern tended to be spatially close to each other. IUi > PUi > LUi (IX), IUi > LUi > PUi (X) and IUi > PUi = LUi (XI) were the dominant urbanization patterns. There was crisscross distribution of various urbanization patterns and, thus, it was not easy to observe the agglomeration center of certain urbanization pattern. (4) The urbanization pattern of the same evaluation unit changed with time. This change was mainly reflected in the change of relationship between population and land urbanization. Urbanization pattern changed more significantly in 2008–2016 than in 1998–2008. The changes were dominant by IX→XI, X→XI, XI→IX, and XI→X.

With the rapid advancement of urbanization, the sustainable development of the city has received more and more attention. The measurement of the sustainable development of a city can provide an important reference for the development of the city. Therefore, this paper firstly constructs an index system for five dimensions: society, the economy, the environment, resources, and technology. Then, a sustainable development measurement model is established based on dissipative structure theory, grey entropy and coupling theory, and the evolution trend and coordinated development of the city are measured. Finally, Chengdu, an important central city in the western region of China, is selected for sustainable development measurement research, from which it was found that the city became more sustainable and more orderly, the development level was constantly improving, and the coordination was continuously improving, which was consistent with the actual situation and indicated that the proposed measurement model could effectively measure and evaluate sustainable urban development.

The accelerated urban transition and its consequent unsustainability is a problem registered in several global scenarios. This issue has been identified in the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. One of the solutions provided for this theme is the application of specific methodologies to measure sustainability in urban areas such as the case of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND). This work aims to analyze a real urban project, still in the executive project phase, Morro do Encontro project, in the scenario of the slum area of Rio de Janeiro based on the LEED-ND indicator system. The novelty of this study is to evaluate the existing relationships, between urban development actions and sustainability, through LEED-ND indicators, in the proposals of the Brazilian government plan PAC2, as a means of verifying their effectiveness. A total of 12 boards of the discipline of Urbanism in the executive project phase are studied. The analyzed items are divided into credit items and mandatory items. A total of 8% of credit items (CI) and 33% of mandatory items (MI) are attended. The results found indicated 47 sustainability items were not met and, therefore, can be improved. This comes back to the fact that 100% of the mandatory LEED-ND items were not achieved, which means that this project as it was conceived cannot be considered as a sustainable urban solution.

In this systematic review, I cumulate previous research findings indicating that sustainable urbanism and networked public governance can be instrumental in carrying out extensive sustainability and resilience objectives through steering urban transformations in the direction of sustainability and resilience. Urban analytics data infrastructure, multicriteria sustainability evaluation, and sustainable performance assessment display the intricate network dynamics operational within cities, impacting urban resilience decision-making processes and leading to equitable and sustainable urban development. Throughout July 2020, I conducted a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases, search terms including “sustainable urban planning,” “urban sustainability assessment,” “sustainable urban governance/urban sustainability governance,” “sustainable urban development,” “sustainable/sustainability behavior,” and “environmental performance.” As I focused on research published exclusively in the past two years, only 301 various types of articles met the eligibility criteria. By removing those whose results were inconclusive, unconfirmed by replication, or too general, and because of space constraints, I selected 153, mainly empirical, sources. Future research should investigate whether the assessment of environmental sustainability performance of heterogeneous urban configurations by shared sustainability policymaking through spatial green infrastructure planning and regulations articulate sustainable urban design and governance for the development of innovative performance.

This paper presents an original attempt to bring forward extended perspectives about the City Classification System (CCS) in Vietnam. For many years, the CCS has played a central role the development of Vietnam national urban system as well as a motivating guideline for individual cities. However, (1) aspects of sustainable urban development are underrepresented among the CCS indicators and (2) the CCS remains a top-down, rigid policy which takes away much of the local development context and their developmental challenges. It is argued that Vietnam CCS needs adjusting to better reflect the multi-dimensional nature of urban development process (especially sustainability) and to better comprehend people-oriented, local development.

The results of observations in class XI SMK Health Nursing Yahya Bima note that students still think that math is hard and scary that students often find it difficult when working on math problems. Student difficulties in learning mathematics are also characterized by low daily test results mathematics class XI student of SMK Nursing Yahya Bima. Therefore it is necessary to do an analysis of learning disability and the factors that influence the students' learning difficulties in learning mathematics in particular three-dimensional. This research is a descriptive study conducted on 64 students of class XI SMK Yahya Nursing Bima. Data collected by the method of three-dimensional tests and questionnaires. Tests that have been declared valid and reliable research subjects used to determine which students who received grades of less than KKM defined as research subjects. Questionnaire is used to determine the internal factors and external factors that greatly affect the students' learning difficulties in studying the three-dimensional. Data analysis techniques used in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that as many as 33 students have difficulty in solving the three-dimensional, it is due to students 'difficulties in providing examples of specific concepts, students' difficulty in giving up the name space, difficulties in classification, less skills students in basic skills, calculation errors, procedural errors , students are not mastering algorithms and do not understand the basic concepts. Factors - factors that cause learning difficulties students have great influence on quite a high level of learning difficulties experienced by students of class XI Vocational Nursing Yahya Way in three dimensions is the subject matter of interest, motivation, talent and intelligence of students who are on average relatively less and methods applied teachers including the use of visual aids in teaching the less even very low.

In a time of rapid urbanizing process, planning and building an ecologically sustainable environment have become imperative in developing countries like Nepal in which urban settlements, as a densely populated built environment, are the center of attention. This paper aims to build a clear and concise synthesis of integration of environment, economy and infrastructure extension for sustainable urban development to serve as an essential reference for decision and policy makers, planners, implementing institutions, and other stakeholders at national and global level with a view to encourage more strategically organized and systematic and sustainability efforts. Using qualitative method for analyzing available information on urban development in Nepal and environmental consideration in urban planning at global level, the study clearly reveals that the urban condition of Nepal is spatially fragmented, less environmentally responsive and more socially divisive and need to adopt porous urban design, coupled with socio-economic and environmental mixed to solve social, economic and ecological issues. The paper further provides a framework for integrated urban development in Nepal with the recognition of environmental and economic parameters and the spatial and the social characteristics are to be inextricably linked in urban infrastructure extension in order to prove right path to the solution of location-specific issues of urban infrastructure extension and wellbeing of urban life along with territorial identity and ecological stability. Suggested integrated framework and techniques produce a holistic synthesis with around ten themes and three dimensions to facilitate sustainable urban development in which both environmental concerns and human wellbeing can be addressed properly
