Energy metabolism and motion are the essence of dance. Scientific training of athletes involves theoretical guidance in terms of fitness, talent-based selection, and high-performance practice. However, limited research work is carried out on the physiological strain of DanceSport competitions. Therefore, proper channel needs to be established for aerobic-based exercise on participant’s performance and general fitness. Competition simulation is used to collect personal data from real-time experimentations. Database gathers athlete information based on age, gender, and performance. Furthermore, results are obtained from experiment, record, and simulation in comparison to evaluate athlete performance. Main purpose of this article is to discover the characteristics of DanceSport from the perspectives of energetics in 32 domestic elite. Finally, World DanceSport Federation Judging System 2.1 “WFJS2.1” strategy is utilized for international game challenges.

This paper seeks to address some of the problems faced by those archiving an area of musical practice – electroacoustic music and the sonic arts – which is, by definition, involved with technologies which change and develop, and which unsurprisingly is itself in a state of flux and transformation. Drawing on the experience gained from two linked research projects – one looking at the development of the practice, the other seeking to archive it – it is suggested that the two apparently disparate areas of activity can be fruitfully regarded as overlapping in many respects. Both activities involve selection and aesthetic judgement, both strive for an elusive ‘completeness’ while acknowledging its impossibility, and at a technical level the strategies now emerging for searching and collating information from ‘separate’ archives look increasingly like the strategies used in some areas of ‘real-time’ composition and performance practice. It is argued that archivists of material from such a disparate and rapidly developing practice, rather than aiming for spurious ‘coverage’ of the field, should acknowledge and celebrate their difference from each other, while conforming to simple principles which will allow their archived content to be searched and collated dynamically by individual users, each querying and configuring the material optimally for their own purposes.

This chapter discusses the challenges high-end storage solutions will have with future demands. Due to heavy end-user demands for real-time processing of data access, this need must be addressed by high-end storage solutions. But what type of high-end storage solutions address this need and are suitable to ensure high performance write and retrieval of data in real-time from high- end storage infrastructures, including read and write access from digital archives? For this reason, this chapter reviews a few disk and tape solutions as well as combined disk- and tape storage solutions. The review on the different storage solutions does not focus on compliance of data storage management, but on available commercial high-end systems, addressing scalability and performance requirements both for online storage and archives. High level requirements aid in identifying high-end storage system features and support Extreme Scale infrastructures for the amount of data that high-end storage systems will need to manage in future.

With the success of the commercial operation of the maglev train, the demand for real-time monitoring and high-performance control of the maglev train suspension system is also increasing. Therefore, a framework for performance monitoring and performance optimization of the maglev train suspension system is proposed in this article. This framework consists of four parts: plant, feedback controller, residual generator, and dynamic compensator. Firstly, after the system model is established, the nominal controller is designed to ensure the stability of the system. Secondly, the observer-based residual generator is identified offline based on the input and output data without knowing the accurate model of the system, which avoids the interference of the unmodeled part. Thirdly, the control performance is monitored and evaluated in real time by analyzing the residual and executing the judgment logic. Fourthly, when the control performance of the system is degraded or not satisfactory, the dynamic compensator based on the residual is updated online iteratively to optimize the control performance. Finally, the proposed framework and theory are verified on the single suspension experimental platform and the results show the effectiveness.

This paper describes the background and motivations behind the author’s electroacoustic game-pieces Pathfinder (2016) and ICARUS (2019), designed specifically for his performance practice with an augmented drum kit. The use of game structures in music is outlined, while musical expression in the context of commercial musical games using conventional game controllers is discussed. Notions such as agility, agency and authorship in music composition and improvisation are in parallel with game design and play, where players are asked to develop skills through affordances within a digital game-space. It is argued that the recent democratisation of game engines opens a wide range of expressive opportunities for real-time game-based improvisation and performance. Some of the design decisions and performance strategies for the two instrument-controlled games are presented to illustrate the discussion; this is done in terms of game design, physical control through the augmented instrument, live electronics and overall artistic goals of the pieces. Finally, future directions for instrument-controlled electroacoustic game-pieces are suggested.

This paper presents an efficient hardware design using the new Motion Estimation (ME) algorithms named: Multi-point Diamond Search (MPDS) and Dynamic Multi-Point Diamond Search (DMPDS). These algorithms are more efficient to avoid from local minima falls than traditional fast algorithms.This fact contributes to increase the quality of the motion vectors, especially in High Definition (HD) videos, were the number of local minima are considerable higher. Two versions of MPDS algorithm were proposed. The first one, focused on high performance, is capable to process videos QFHD at 30 frames per second when synthesized to Altera Stratix 4 and 90nm TSCM, with only 18mW. The second version is focused on quality enhancement and is capable to process HD 1080p videos in real time. The DMPDS architecture has been developed focusing on high performance and was synthesized to Altera stratix 4. This architecture is capable to process videos QFHD at 34 frames per second. In comparison to related works, our solutions obtained the highest processing rates, and a good trade-off among power consumption, area, memory bits and performance.

This research work entitled Financing of high performance individual sport in Benin aims to analyze on the one hand, the effects of insufficient funding of high performance athletes in Benin on the development of individual sport and support of their elites and, on the other hand, the type of funding that would be best suited to this situation in Benin. It focuses on three sources of funding for sport: public funding, self-funding and other sources of funding. The results of the study show that, on the one hand, the insufficiency of the budgets allocated to high-performance individual sports constitutes in part an obstacle to the development of this type of sport, and on the other hand, that public funding does not favor not the improvement of the performance of high performance individual athletes, compared to other sources of sport funding.

Contrary to the problem that automobile switches have various kinds and large differences in the structure and performance so that traditional testing methods have been unable to meet the testing requirements of high performance switches, the paper designs a new detection system used to detect the functions of general auto switches which applies the developing environment LabVIEW based on virtual instrument technology and adopts the technology of embedded observe and control system. Using PC as the host computer, the system adopts the LabVIEW8.5 to compile a real-time monitoring system with good human-computer interface; S3C2440-ARM9 processor is used as the main controller of observe and control system in the inferior computer which collects output current signal when the circuit is conducted after switch is pressed. After the coding process of LwIP software protocol and the drive of Ethernet controller DM9000, the signal is transmitted to PC through Ethernet interface. Compared with conventional testing measures, this system greatly improves the real-time performance as well as working efficiency of detecting switch functions and reduces the corresponding human and material resources.

In recent years, the need for security of personal data is becoming progressively important. A biometric system is an evolving technology that is used in various fields like forensics, secured area and security system. With respect to this concern, the identification system based on the fusion of multibiometric values is the most recommended in order to significantly improve and obtain high performance accuracy. The main purpose of this research work is to design and propose a hybrid system of combining the effect of three effective models: Retinex Algorithm, Stacked Deep Auto Encoder and Random forest (RF) classifier based on multi-biometric fingerprint as well as finger-vein recognition system. According to literature several fingerprint as well as fingervein recognition system are designed that uses various techniques in order to reduce false detection rate and to enhance the performance of the system. A comparative study of different recognition technique along with their limitations is also summarized and optimum approach is proposed which may enhance the performance of the system. In order to gain above mentioned objectives, fingerprint and fingervein dataset is taken for training and testing. The result analysis shows approx. 97% accuracy, 92% precision rate as well as 0.04 EER that shows enhancement over existing work.

The research on human resource management (HRM) and performance claims a significant positive relationship;However, some researchers doubt this relationship. This paper evaluates the literature on HRM-performance relationship and concludes that there exists significant theoratical challenges. The review of available literature pertaining to HRM practices reflects that there is a long list of HRM practices but researchers have no consensus on common practices. The review of high performance work system (HPWS) help us to conclude that inspite of heavy research work on bundling of HPWS; consensus could not be arrived at some common structure. similarly, we provide an overview of existing HRM-performance perspectives and concludes that some perspective provide good theoratical and practical base for HRM-performance linkages. However, there exist deficiency in literature concerning the alternative perspective (Boselie et al.,2005). This paper further reviews the concept of black box and concludes that there exist theoratical gaps and misconceptions in HRM-performance relationship. We also provide an insight of performance and conclude that majority of researchers have focused on share holder appraoch, while stake holder appraoch is largely disregarded. Finally, this paper reviews organization justice( OJ ) as an alternative option and concludes that majority of HRM practices are covered in OJ, and its four existing dimensions. OJ has a great scope to provide vast space to cover HRM practices not only in a greater number but it also gives a sense of ' fairness/ justice' and substantiates the value and importance of HRM practices.
