The structural factor of samples microplasticity deposited with carbon steel construction tapes in connection with the different sensitivities of the deposited metal to stress concentration was investigated. The most favorable structure of the deposited layer, which is characterized by low sensitivity to stress concentration, is found. The combined technology of parts recovery modes operating in stress factor conditions is given. The covering agent composition, which allows to reduce the energy consumption during heat treatment of the deposited samples after treatment with high-frequency currents, to increase the thermal insulation effect approaching to the furnace treatment conditions, was developed. It was established that retarded cooling in the covering agent of deposited samples after local heating with high-frequency currents provides the increase in the average pressure ferrite during increase in the grain size. It was established that for parts operating under cyclic loading, the structure obtained as a result of combined treatment is the least sensitive to stress concentration.

A micro vibration, high sensitivity FBG demodulation system with close loop control is presented. By introducing a close loop control, the difficulty in matched FBG making process is overcame. Further more, the FBG strain-temperature cross sensitivity problem is settled. And low sensitivity in high frequency of cantilever FBG accelerator is overcame either. An example of the system application in acceleration measurement is introduced.

The principle of formation of layered metal-dielectric micro-sized metastructures, which are dielectric layers with deposited metal patterns, is proposed. The principle consists in the production of individual layers by photolithographic methods, followed by their assembly and alignment on a special installation using a source of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation with an antisymmetric field. The criterion for the accuracy of the alignment of layers is the power level of the received high-frequency electromagnetic signal at the output of the receiver, which fixes the field of the radiation source, scattered by the metal alignment marks applied to each matched layer. When applying the proposed principle, it is possible to combine optically opaque metaldielectric layers of metastructures, without the use of pins. A numerical assessment of the quality of layer alignment showed that the error of layer alignment when using a centimeter wavelength range for field sensing is no more than 3–4 µm.

Background. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) of frontal brain regions is under study as a non-invasive method in the treatment of affective disorders. Recent publications provide increasing evidence that rTMS may be useful in treating schizophrenia. Results are most intriguing, demonstrating a reduction of negative symptoms following high-frequency rTMS. In this context, disentangling of negative and depressive symptoms is of the utmost importance when understanding specific rTMS effects on schizophrenic symptoms.Method. Using a sham-controlled parallel design, 20 patients with schizophrenia were included in the study. Patients were treated with high-frequency 10 Hz rTMS over 10 days. Besides clinical ratings, ECD-SPECT (technetium-99 bicisate single photon emission computed tomography) imaging was performed before and after termination of rTMS treatment.Results. High-frequency rTMS leads to a significant reduction of negative symptoms combined with a trend for non-significant improvement of depressive symptoms in the active stimulated group as compared with the sham stimulated group. Additionally, a trend for worsening of positive symptoms was observed in the actively treated schizophrenic patients. In both groups no changes in regional cerebral blood flow could be detected by ECD-SPECT.Conclusions. Beneficial effects of high-frequency rTMS on negative and depressive symptoms were found, together with a trend for worsening positive symptoms in schizophrenic patients.
