The neutrosophic cubic sets (NCSs) attained attraction of many researchers in the current time, so the need to discuss and study their stability was felt. Thus, in this article, we discuss the three types of stability of NCSs such as truth-stability, indeterminacy-stability, and falsity-stability. We define the left (resp., right) truth-left evaluative set, left (resp., right) indeterminacy-evaluative set, and left (resp., right) falsity-evaluative set. A new notion of stable NCSs, partially stable NCSs, and unstable NCSs is defined. We observe that every NCS needs not to be a stable NCS but each stable NCS must be an NCS, i.e., every internal NCS is a stable NCS but an external NCS may or may not be a stable NCS. We also discuss some conditions under which the left and right evaluative points of an external NCS becomes a neutrosophic bipolar fuzz set. We have provided the condition under which an external NCS becomes stable. Moreover, we discuss the truth-stable degree, indeterminacy-stable degree, and falsity-stable degree of NCSs. We have also defined an almost truth-stable set, almost indeterminacy-stable set, almost falsity-stable set, almost partially stable set, and almost stable set with examples. Application of stable NCSs is given with a numerical example at the end.

Linguistic variables can better approximate the fuzziness of man’s thinking, which are important tools for multiple attribute decision-making problems. This paper establishes the possibility-based ELECTRE II model under the environment of uncertain linguistic fuzzy variables and uncertain weight information. By introducing the degree of possibility to ELECTRE II model, the concordance set, the discordance set and the indifferent set are obtained, respectively. Furthermore, the concordance index is redefined by considering deviation index under the same attribute, by which the strong and weak relationships are constructed, and then the rank of alternatives is obtained. A numerical example about the evaluation of socio-economic systems is employed to illustrate the convenience and applicability of the proposed method.

This study presents a new KEmeny Median Indicator Ranks Accordance (KEMIRA) method for determining criteria priority and selection criteria weights in the case of two separate groups of criteria for solving multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. Kemeny median method is proposed to generalize experts' opinion. Medians are calculated applying three different measure functions. Criteria weights are calculated and alternatives ranking accomplished by solving optimization problem — minimization of ranks discrepancy function calculated for two groups of criteria. A numerical example for solving specific task of elite selection from security personnel is given to illustrate the proposed method.

This article examines internal accounting practices at Whitbread & Company from c. 1890 to 1925. At this time, there was an increasing interest in cost accounting, but there is little detailed extant research on general internal accounting practices of firms. The brewing sector, we suggest, is a potentially fruitful realm to further our knowledge of this time. Drawing on the Whitbread brewery archival records, we chart the internal accounting practices of the company. Our findings reveal a stable set of accounting practices, focused mainly on bookkeeping, although the firm’s auditor produced some reports which may have been useful for management decision-making. We argue that these practices were highly institutionalised and seemingly resistant to external forces present in the company’s environment.

In this paper, in order to apply the concept of octahedron sets to multi-criteria group decision-making problems, we define several similarity and distance measures for octahedron sets. We present a multi-criteria group decision-making method with linguistic variables in octahedron set environment. We give a numerical example for multi-criteria group decision-making problems.

In this article, some new basic operations and results of Ordered Intuitionistic Fuzzy Soft (OIFS) sets, such as equality, complement, subset, union, intersection, OR, and AND operators along with several examples are investigated. Further, based on the analysis of several operations on OIFS sets, numerous algebraic properties and famous De Morgans inclusions and De Morgans laws are established. Finally, using the notions of OIFS sets, an algorithm is developed and implemented in a numerical example.

In order to quantify the fuzziness in the simplified neutrosophic setting, this paper proposes a generalized distance-based entropy measure and a dimension root entropy measure of simplified neutrosophic sets (NSs) (containing interval-valued and single-valued NSs) and verifies their properties. Then, comparison with the existing relative interval-valued NS entropy measures through a numerical example is carried out to demonstrate the feasibility and rationality of the presented generalized distance-based entropy and dimension root entropy measures of simplified NSs. Lastly, a decision-making example is presented to illustrate their applicability, and then the decision results indicate that the presented entropy measures are effective and reasonable. Hence, this study enriches the simplified neutrosophic entropy theory and measure approaches.

This paper proposes a decision-making model of the planning quantity put into production for Make-To-Order (MTO) companies with capacity constraint. The low repeatability and the uncertain products eligibility-rate of the MTO production systems are fully taken into account, and an optimal solution is presented. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the validity of the model.

In this paper, we firstly introduced the unbalanced linguistic term sets, the linguistic transforming methodology, the Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) operator and dual MSM (DMSM) operator. Then, we proposed the closed operational rules of unbalanced linguistic variables, and several new MSM aggregation operators, including unbalanced linguistic MSM (ULMSM) operator, weighted unbalanced linguistic MSM (WULMSM) operator, unbalanced linguistic DMSM (ULDMSM) operator and weighted unbalanced linguistic DMSM (WULDMSM) operator. Further, we proposed two multiple attribute decision-making (MADM) methods under unbalanced linguistic environments based on the WULMSM operator and WULDMSM operator, respectively. Finally, a numerical example is used to show the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed MADM methods and to reveal their advantages by comparing with the existing methods.
