A common fixed point theorem for generalizedφ,ϕ,L f,g-weak contraction in a metric space is established. As an application, some common fixed point results in normed linear spaces are obtained. We also study some results on best approximation via common fixed point theorems. Our result improves some results from the existing literature. Some illustrative examples to highlight the realized improvements are also furnished.

We prove new fixed point and common fixed point theorems for generalized weak contractive mappings of integral type in modular spaces. Our results extend and generalize the results of A. Razani and R. Moradi (2009) and M. Beygmohammadi and A. Razani (2010).

The main purpose of this paper is to prove some new coincidence and common fixed point theorems for noncommuting generalizedf-nonexpansive multivalued mappings on non-starshaped domain in the framework of a Banach space. As applications, related common fixed point, invariant approximation, and random coincidence point results are established. This work provides extension as well as substantial improvement of several results in the existing literature.

In this paper we have used the concept of bi-metric space and intoduced the concept of bi-b-metric space. our objective is to obtain the common fixed point theorems for two mappings on two different b-metric spaces induced on same set X. In this paper we prove that on the set X two b-metrics are defined to form two different b-metric spaces and the two mappings defined on X have unique common fixed point.

In this paper, we establish a common fixed point theorem for three pairs of self mappings in semi-metric space using compatible mappings of type (R) which improves and extends similar known results in the literature.

In this paper, without assuming continuity, commutativity and compatibility of self maps, some common fixed theorem for weak contraction of integral type in complete metric spaces are proved. An example and some remarks are also given to justify that our contraction is new and weaker than other existing contractions.

The main purpose of this paper is to establish a common fixed point theorem for set valued mappings in 2-metric spaces by generalizing a theorem of Abd EL-Monsef et al. (2009) and Murthy and Tas (2009) by using (ϕ,ψ)-weak contraction in view of Greguš type condition for set valued mappings using R-weakly commuting maps.

AbstractA general common fixed point theorem for two pairs of weakly subsequentially continuous mappings (recently introduced) satisfying a significant estimated implicit function is proved. An extension of this result is thereby obtained. Our results assert the existence and uniqueness of common fixed points in several cases.
