We investigate baryon-baryon (BB) interactions in the strangeness S = −2 sector via the coupled-channel HAL QCD method which enables us to extract the scattering observables from Nambu-Bethe-Salpeter (NBS) wave function on the lattice. The simulations are performed with (almost) physical quark masses (mπ = 146MeV) and a huge lattice volume of La = 8.1fm. We discuss the fate of H-dibaryon state through the ΛΛ and NΞ coupled-channel scatterings

The four-nucleon bound state and scattering below three-body breakup threshold are described. The description is based on a realistic coupled-channel potential which allows the excitation of a single nucleon to a Δ isobar. In the four-nucleon system the Δ isobar mediates effective two-, three- and four-nucleon forces. The effect of the four-nucleon force is found to be much smaller than the effect of the three-nucleon force.

A new technique for solving three-particle scattering equations is developed. It is based on the two-dimensional Chebyshev expansion of the two-baryon transition matrix. Its validity and its effectiveness is demonstrated. Furthermore, a new perturbative technique for simulating exact scattering results is developed. It has the potential for understanding three-particle reaction mechanisms in detail. The dynamics of the examples is based on a two-baryon potential which allows for the excitation or a nucleon to a Δ-isobar; the coupled-channel potential yields an effective three-nucleon force in the three-nucleon system. The purely nucleonic reference potential is the charge-dependent Bonn potential.
