The near infrared reflectivity and black color tone of a Ca2Mn0.85Ti0.15O4 pigment were improved by the introduction of strain with Zn2+ doping into the [MnO6] octahedra and a decrease in the manganese ion concentration.

Variation Trends

In order to detect the ice on aircraft wings, a method based on near infrared image processing is proposed. According to the variety of near-infrared reflectivity, four images of one object are obtained under different detection wavelengths. Water and ice can be distinguished by the different variation trends of near infrared images. In this paper, 1.10μm, 1.16μm, 1.26μm and 1.28μm are selected to be the detection wavelengths. The images of Carbon Fiber Composite material aircraft wings partially covered by water or ice are obtained and analyzed. Parameter D can reflect the variation trend of relative near-infrared reflectivity, so that Parameter D also can be the distinguish basis. The results of the experiment show that the method proposed in this paper is available for ice detection.

AbstractWe report that C60 nanorods of three polymeric phases have been synthesized under high pressure and high temperature and that the photoluminescence properties of these polymeric nanorods also have been studied. C60 nanorods were fabricated by a facile solution evaporation method. Raman spectra indicate that this material transformed into orthorhombic, tetragonal and rhombohedral polymeric phases under various high pressure and high temperature conditions. SEM measurements show that the shape of the nanorods can be kept under quasi-hydrostatic pressure condition. The photoluminescence intensity of the polymeric C60 nanorods has been enhanced compared with that of the pristine C60 nanorods. The main fluorescence band shifted from 1.70 eV in the monomeric phase to near infrared in the polymeric phase when pressure and temperature were increased. The enhanced fluorescence with adjustable frequency for different polymeric C60 nanorods makes possible potential application in luminescent nanomaterials.
