A new endomycetaceous fungus, Botryoascus cladosporoides, is described. This species differs from the previously described Botryoascus synnaedendrus in conidial structures and physiological characteristics and occurs in a very different habitat. <p>ABSTRAK</p><p>Studi in vitro tentang karakteristik fungi isolat Pleurotus spp. telahdilaksanakan di Bogor dari bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2004. Penelitianmenggunakan rancangan faktorial dalam rancangan acak lengkap danbertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh media, temperatur inkubasi dan pHmedia terhadap 6 isolat Pleurotus sp. Karakter lain yang juga dipelajariadalah kemampuan untuk mengoksidasi asam tanat dan asam galat dalammedia agar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pleurotus isolat sp.6dan sp.8 tumbuh baik pada media MPA, isolat Pleurotus sp.1, 3 dan 4pada media MEA dan isolate sp.2 pada media PDA. Kecuali isolat sp.8,isolat lainnya tidak dapat tumbuh pada temperatur 10 dan 35 o C. Pertum-buhan isolat sp.8 terbaik dibandingkan isolat lainnya pada semuatemperatur. Diameter koloni isolat lainnya hanya mencapai 0,2 – 2,33 cm.Pertumbuhan isolat sp.8 juga terbaik pada semua pH media diikuti isolatsp.6 kemudian isolat sp.4. Semua isolat menunjukkan reaksi oksidasipositif pada agar asam tanat dan asam galat yang ditunjukkan oleh warnacoklat pada media yang melingkari koloni.</p><p>Kata kunci : Pleurotus spp, media, temperature, pH, oksidasi, asam tanat,asam galat</p><p>ABSTRACT</p><p>Physiological Characteristics of Pleurotus spp. IsolatesPhysiological characteristics of some Pleurotus sp. isolates werestudied in vitro, from July until August 2004 in Bogor. Experiments tostudy the effect of kind of media, temperature of incubation room, and pHof medium on six isolates of Pleurotus sp. were arranged in factorialrandomized complete design and replicated three times with colony in apetri dish as experimental units. Another physiological character studiedwas the ability to oxidize tannic and gallic acids in agar medium. Resultsshowed that isolates Pleurotus sp.6 and -8 grew better in MPA medium,Pleurotus sp.1, -3, and -4 in MEA, and Pleurotus sp.2 in PDA. ExceptPleurotus sp.8, other isolates could not grow in incubation roomtemperature of 10 and 35 o  C. The growth of Pleurotus sp.8 was the bestamong the isolates in all temperature levels. Other isolates grew poorly in20 and 29o C with diameter range was 0.2 – 2.33 cm. The growth ofPleurotus sp.8 was also the best in all pH medium levels, followed byPleurotus sp.6, and then Pleurotus sp.4. In vitro micrografting of Sequoia sempervirens was used as a rejuvenation method: apices were collected from in vitro cultured shoots issued from a 500-year-old tree; the rootstocks originated from a 1-year-old tree. Only a few grafted apices survived. Once producing leafy shoots, they exhibited some juvenile morphological and physiological characteristics. Some scions were isolated and rooted in a new medium. Although the restoration of the orthotropy is very difficult, a few of the rooted plantlets were orthotropic and this characteristic was maintained after acclimatization in greenhouses. Therefore, the in vitro micrografting of Sequoia sempervirens can be considered as a rejuvenation method that must be improved. ABSTRAK<br />Sclerotium sp. merupakan jamur patogen baru pada tanaman<br />sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Ness.) yang dapat mengakibatkan<br />kematian. Penyebaran jamur ini masih terbatas di KP Cimanggu, Bogor<br />dan KP Cicurug, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk<br />mengetahui  pengaruh  beberapa  faktor  lingkungan  seperti  suhu,<br />kelembaban udara (RH), pH, dan cahaya terhadap pertumbuhan isolat<br />Sclerotium sp. asal sambiloto pada media PDA serta kisaran inangnya.<br />Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium dan rumah kaca Balai Penelitian<br />Tanaman Obat dan Aromatik (Balittro), Tahun 2005. Faktor lingkungan<br />yang diuji yaitu suhu ruangan (20, 28, 35 dan 40) o C, kelembaban udara<br />(RH 55, 75, 85, dan 100)%, pH (4, 5, 6, 7, dan 8) dan kondisi cahaya<br />(terang, gelap, dan terang dan gelap selang 12 jam secara bergantian). Uji<br />kisaran inang dilakukan terhadap 3 varietas jagung (ketan, pematung, dan<br />sokong) dan 3 varietas kacang tanah (jerapah, kelinci, dan simpai) serta<br />tanaman sambiloto sebagai pembanding. Inokulasi dilakukan dengan cara<br />menempelkan sclerotia jamur di bagian pangkal batang tanaman uji dekat<br />permukaan tanah. Pengamatan pertumbuhan jamur pada media agar yang<br />diperlakukan dan pengamatan intensitas serangan penyakit dilakukan<br />setiap hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa isolat Sclerotium sp. asal<br />tanaman sambiloto tumbuh baik pada suhu (20-35) 0 C, RH (55-100)%, dan<br />pada kisaran pH 4-8 serta pada kondisi terang atau gelap secara terus<br />menerus maupun bergantian selang 12 jam. Hasil uji kisaran inang<br />menunjukkan bahwa Sclerotium sp. dapat menyebabkan kematian tidak<br />hanya pada tanaman sambiloto, tetapi juga pada dua varietas kacang tanah<br />(simpai dan jerapah), sedangkan pada jagung tidak menyebabkan kematian<br />(tahan). Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa isolat Sclerotium sp.<br />yang berasal dari tanaman sambiloto mempunyai kemampuan bertahan<br />hidup dan berkembang pada kondisi lingkungan yang luas (broad<br />spectrum). Ketidakmampuan jamur tersebut menginfeksi tanaman jagung<br />varietas ketan, pematung, dan sokong dapat digunanakan sebagai salah<br />satu cara pengendalian patogen dengan sistem tumpangsari dan rotasi.<br />Kata kunci : Sambiloto, Andrographis paniculata Ness, Sclerotium sp.,<br />karakteristik, fisiologis, Jawa Barat<br />ABSTRACT<br />Physiological Characteristics of Sclerotium sp. Isolated<br />from Sambiloto<br />Sclerotium sp. is a new destructive fungal patogen on sambiloto<br />(Andrographis paniculata Ness.). The distribution of the patogen was still<br />limited in Cicurug, Sukabumi and Cimanggu, Bogor, West Java. The aim<br />of this experiment was to observe the growth of Sclerotium sp from<br />sambiloto under different environmental factors such as temperature,<br />relative humidity, light condition, and pH on PDA medium as well as its<br />host range. The experiment was conducted in Indonesian Medicinal and<br />Aromatic Crops Research Institute (IMACRI) in 2005. The environmental<br />factors tested were temperature (20, 28, 35, and 40) o C; relative humidity<br />(55, 75, 85, and 100)%; pH (4-8); and light condition (continuosly on or<br />off and 12 hours on and off alternatively). The pathogenicity of the<br />Sclerotium sp. was tested against 3 varieties of corn (ketan, pematung, and<br />sokong) and 3 varieties of peanut (jerapah, kelinci, and simpai) as well as<br />sambiloto as a comparison. Sclerotia of the fungus were inoculated on the<br />stem base of the plant tested. Observation of the growth of the fungus<br />under different environmental factors and disease intensity on inoculated<br />plants was conducted everyday. The results showed that the growth of<br />Sclerotium sp. isolate from sambiloto was affected by different<br />environmental factors. The isolate grew well at (20-35) 0 C, relative<br />humidity ranged from (55-100)%, pH ranged from 4-8, and light<br />condition of both continuosly on or off as well as 12 hours on and off<br />alternativelly. The isolate was pathogenic against sambiloto as well as<br />against 2 varieties of peanut (simpai and jerapah), however, it was not<br />pathogenic against all the corn varieties tested. The result indicated that<br />the isolate of Sclerotium sp. from sambiloto was a broad spectrum fungal<br />pathogen. The present study was performed with the aim to isolate and identify Salmonella organism from diarrhoeic and apparently healthy ducks and to characterize duck Salmonella by biochemical test. Antibiotic sensitivity analysis of duck Salmonella was performed. A total of 65 cloacal samples were collected from ducks of three different regions such as Char Nilokkhiya, BAU Poultry Farm and Boyra, Mymensingh. Out of 65 samples 9 (13.07%) were found positive. The antibiotic sensitivity pattern showed that the duck isolates were highly sensitive to ciprofloxacin, kanamycin, nalidixic acid, co-trimoxazole and cephalexin but these isolates were highly resistant to chloramphenicol. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive tract (1%). These tumors express the CD 117 in 95% of cases. The stomach is the preferential localization (70%). Diagnosis is difficult and sometimes late. Progress of imaging has greatly improved the management and the prognosis. Computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard for diagnosis, staging, and treatment follow-up. The increasing recognition of GIST’s histopathology and the prolonged survival revealed some suggestive imaging aspects. Key words: gastro-intestinal stromal tumors; computed tomography; diagnosis

This article aims at describing the obseroance of wasiat wajibah (compulsory bequeathment) in the Islamic court of Banten, analyzing the provision of the substitute heir and adopted children in the Compilation of  Islamic Law (KHI). In addition, the ideal laws to manage the innheritance rules in Indonesia. This article is library research by using doctrinal approach and using case study and survey methods. The data was, then, analyzed by using analytical descriptive and analytical correlative methods. The result showed that the observance of wasiat wajibah in the Islamic court of  Banten employed by judges is by using the Mawali Hazairin’s Doctrine. Five phosphorus rates (0, 5, 10, 20 and 30 kg P/ha) were tested with four rice genotypes in Boro (BRRI dhan36, BRRI dhan45, EH1 and EH2) and T. Aman (BRRI dhan30, BRRI dhan49, EH1 and EH2) season. Phosphorus rates did not influence grain yield irrespective of varieties in T. Aman season while in Boro season P response was observed among the P rates. Application of P @ 10 kg/ha significantly increased the grain yield. But when P was applied @ 20 and 30 kg P/ha, the grain yield difference was not significant. The optimum and economic rate of P for T. Aman was 20 kg P/ha but in Boro rice the optimum and economic doses of P were 22 and 30 kg/ha, respectively. Hybrid entries (EH1 and EH2) used P more efficiently than inbred varieties. A negative P balance was observed up to 10 kg P/ha. One indicator of the success ofeducation in the level of classroom learning is when a lecturer is able to build student learning achievement and will be more successful if this achievement can be increased if their attendance is above 80% (minimum 10 times attendance from 12 meetings). If the students can be grown discipline and provided a decent campus facilities, then as difficult as any lecture material or learning process that followed by they undoubtedly will live with feelings of joy, even they will feel sad if that day lecturer could not come because there is a need outside campus.There are four stages of appraisal that apply to each student for each course taken include (1) attendance of 10% (2) Task 20% (3) 30% Semester Exam (UTS) and (4) Final Exam Semester. (UAS) 40%. The writer as a lecturer tries to cultivate motivation to learn from the beginning, in addition to always communicate actively with students who follow the lecture also monitor attendance and assignment, each completed college is always given the practice / tasks are directly given the value, usually given the task quite easily so they can get a value of 100, even if there is a miscalculation, they are still given the opportunity to fix the error so that eventually get a value of 100. With the value of this 100, their motivation to grow and even grow in such a way that spur them to diligent lectures.The difficulty level of the task is balanced with the lecture, the longer it is raised so as to reach the maximum average level of student ability at the end of the lecture meeting...This research reveals that there is no a significant correlation between student achievement to discipline presence of student/mahasiswa with campus facilities. The analyzing was taken from an answer of 55 students who were randomly selected as respondents by filling out the Questionaire that was distributed to them. Key words : achievement, attendance, discipline, campus facility
