A major issue for the implementation of large-scale superconducting quantum circuits is the interaction with interfacial two-level system (TLS) defects that lead to qubit parameter fluctuations and relaxation. Another major challenge comes from nonequilibrium quasiparticles (QPs) that result in qubit relaxation and dephasing. Here, we reveal a previously unexplored decoherence mechanism in the form of a new type of TLS originating from trapped QPs, which can induce qubit relaxation. Using spectral, temporal, thermal, and magnetic field mapping of TLS-induced fluctuations in frequency tunable resonators, we identify a highly coherent subset of the general TLS population with a low reconfiguration temperature ∼300 mK and a nonuniform density of states. These properties can be understood if the TLS are formed by QPs trapped in shallow subgap states formed by spatial fluctutations of the superconducting order parameter. This implies that even very rare QP bursts will affect coherence over exponentially long time scales.

A power-series expansion for long-time solutions is obtained for the density-matrix equations of motion describing a quantum-mechanical two-level system with dissipation and feedback. The resonances in the first- and third-order dipole contributions and the second-order upper level occupation probability are shown to be significantly affected by the feedback. The results are applied to the case of a uniformly polarized, finite, crystalline dielectric made up of two-level systems. Polarizabilities relating the dipole moment to each of the applied field, the internal field, and the macroscopic field are introduced and relations between them derived. The dipole-moment – macroscopic-field polarizabilities are shown in particular to be shape independent. Susceptibilities are defined and related to the single-system polarizabilities through generalized Clausius–Mossotti relations.

Cruel and inhumane acts that harm human life and health, as well as humiliate the dignity, are prohibited in most countries of the world, and Russia is no exception in this issue. The article presents an analysis of the institution of responsibility for torture in the Russian Federation. The author comes to the conclusion that the current criminal law of Russia superficially and fragmentally regulates liability for torture, in connection with which the author formulated the proposals to define such act as an independent crime. In the frame of modern globalization, the world community pays special attention to the protection of human rights, in connection with which large-scale international standards have been created a long time ago. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international acts enshrine prohibitions of cruel and inhumane acts that harm human life and health, as well as degrade the dignity.Considering the historical experience of the past, these standards focus on the prohibition of any kind of torture, regardless of the purpose of their implementation.

AbstractFor a long time, since China’s opening to the outside world in the late 1970s, admiration for foreign socioeconomic prosperity and quality of life characterized much of the Chinese society, which contributed to dissatisfaction with the country’s development and government and a large-scale exodus of students and emigrants to foreign countries. More recently, however, overestimating China’s standing and popularity in the world has become a more conspicuous feature of Chinese public opinion and the social backdrop of the country’s overreach in global affairs in the last few years. This essay discusses the effects of these misperceptions about the world, their potential sources, and the outcomes of correcting misperceptions. It concludes that while the world should get China right and not misinterpret China’s intentions and actions, China should also get the world right and have a more balanced understanding of its relationship with the world.

Recently the possibility to exploit quantum-mechanical effects to increase the performance of energy storage has raised a great interest. It consists of N two-level systems coupled to a single photonic mode in a cavity. We demonstrate the emergence of a quantum advantage in the charging power on this collective model (Dicke Quantum Battery) with respect to the one in which each two-level system is coupled to its own separate cavity mode (Rabi Quantum Battery). Moreover, we discuss the model of a Quantum Supercapacitor. This consists of two chains, one containing electrons and the other one holes, hosted by arrays of double quantum dots. The two chains are in close proximity and embedded in the same photonic cavity, in the same spirit of the Dicke model. We find the phase diagram of this model showing that, when transitioning from the ferro/antiferromagnetic to the superradiant phase, the quantum capacitance of the model is greatly enhanced.

Lithium battery has been employed widely in many industrial applications. Parameter mismatches between lithium batteries along a series string is the critical limits of the large-scale applications in high power situation. Maintaining equalization between batteries is the key technique in lithium batteries application. This paper summarizes normal equalization techniques and proposed a new type of lithium Battery Equalization and Management System (BEMS) employing the isolated DC-DC converter structure. The system is integrated both equalization functions and management functions by using distributed 3-level controlled structure and digital control technique. With this control method the flexibility of the balance control strategy and the compatibility for different battery strings are both improved dramatically. The experimental results show optimizing equalization, efficiency and the battery string life span has been extended.

The recent dramatic progress in the printed electronics and flexible electronics, due to the universality of the substrates including the foldable and stretchable substrates, has opened a new prospect in the field of future electronics. In this paper, silver nanospheres in large-scale are synthesized, the nanosilver ink with 63.88% silver content are prepared and a new type of highly conductive and far identify distance RFID tags are manufactured. Especially there are no resin and other additives containing in our conductive ink which satisfy the rheological characteristics and process of screen printing. The tags exhibit the best radiation performance own to there is no high temperature sintering in need. The surface resistance of the tags could be 80 mΩ/, and the identify distance reach to 6.0m. Keywords:silver nanoparticles, conductive ink, RFID tags

High- precision and large scale are the developing trend for injection molding machine clamping system .This paper compared the characteristics of three-platen toggle and dual-platen hydraulic clamping system. The key impact factors that effecting plastic parts` precision from clamping system were discussed systematically first time. Based on these analyses, a new clamping system has been proposed and manufactured to improve the plastics parts` precision, including three new technologies: new type dual-platen structure, parallelism adaptive correction technology and numerical controlled hydraulic servo system technology. It has been applied in practical machine successfully, and experiment result proves that it is effective enough to satisfying the high-precision molding of large plastics parts.

The global economy continues to grow, albeit mainly due to large-scale support measures from governments and regulators. Moreover, the latter are not sure about the prospects for such development, since the economies do not demonstrate the potential for independent growth. As a result, in order to stimulate it, regulators are forced to expand the range of their tools, mechanisms, approaches, otherwise the risks to the stability of the global financial and economic system increase. All this is happening against the background of negative rates, which have become virtually ubiquitous and persist for a long time. New growth records are being set in the stock markets, and their gap from the real economy is growing. A number of sectors are beginning to dominate, forming distortions and bubbles in the markets. In such conditions, the importance of digital money, ecosystems, etc. increases. Moreover, the faster and more efficiently regulators can integrate into these formats, the more successful business, the population, and the economy as a whole will be.
