Heavy general transport vehicles are recommended as lashing points during rescue operations of winch. Taking SX2190 heavy transport vehicles frame as the experimental object, this paper introduces contents and methods of the test, and gets evaluation result of the rear frame through finite element simulation and experimental validation of the real frame-towing hook system for winch lashing car.

Abstract This study was carried out in two stages. In the first step, a numerical study was performed to verify the previous experimental study. In accordance with the previous experimental study data, single lap joints models were created using the ANSYS finite element analysis program. Then, nonlinear stress and failure analyses were performed by applying the failure loads obtained in the experimental study. The maximum stress theory was used to find finite element failure loads of the single lap joints models. As a result of the finite element analysis, an approximate 80 % agreement was found between experimental and numerical results. In the second step of the study, in order to increase the bond strength, different overlap end geometry models were produced and peel and shear stresses in the adhesive layer were compared according to the reference model. As a result of the analyses, significant strength increases were calculated according to the reference model. The strength increase in model 3 and model 5 was found to be 80 % and 67 %, respectively, relative to the reference model.

Study is due to the possibility of loss of stability of the pipeline in the process of pumping a product with a positive operating temperature and the formation of thawing halos. The article presents the ways of solving the thermomechanical problem of pipeline displacement due to thawing. The rate of formation of a thawing halo is investigated depending on the initial temperatures of the soil and the pumped product. The developed monitoring system makes it possible to study the rate of occurrence of thawing halos in the process of pumping the product. An experimental study on the formation of thawing halos around the pipeline was carried out on an experimental model. A thermophysical comparative calculation of temperatures around the pipeline on a model by the finite element method has been carried out. Abstract The aim of the paper is to validate the use of measurement methods in the study of GFRP joints. A number of tests were carried out by means of a tensile machine. The studies were concerned with rivet connection of composite materials. One performed two series of tests for two different forces and two fibre orientations. Using Finite Element Method (FEM) and Digital Image Correlation (DIC), strain maps in the test samples were defined. The results obtained with both methods were analysed and compared. The destructive force was analysed and, with the use of a strain gauge, the clamping force in a plane parallel to the annihilated sample was estimated. Destruction processes were evaluated and models of destruction were made for this type of materials taking into account their connections, such as riveting.

A wire clamp is used to grip a gold wire with in 1–2 ms during thermosonic wire bonding. Modern wire bonders require faster and larger opening wire clamps. In order to simplify the design process and find the key parameters affecting the opening of wire clamps, a model analysis based on energy conservation was developed. The relation between geometric parameters and the amplification ratio was obtained. A finite element (FE) model was also developed in order to calculate the amplification ratio and natural frequency. Experiments were carried out in order to confirm the results of these models. Model studies show that the arm length was the major factor affecting the opening of the wire clamp.

<p><br clear="none"/></p><p>Anti-collision devices can reduce the damage of bridge columns under ship collision, and a new device is proposed in the paper using a combination of titanium steel and recycle tires. The proposed device effectively improves the performance of buffering energy dissipation and durability under strong impact load. A 0.6 scale test specimen was designed and tested to investigate the behavior of the device under impact load; finite element models were conducted to analyze and compare with the experimental results. The performances of different types of the anti-collision device are compared, and the failure mechanism is studied.</p>
