(1) Background: To reveal the intrinsic relationship between the tidal flat sediments in an estuary wetland and the runoff from the upstream river. This research was conducted in the tidal flats of the Liaohe estuary wetland. (2) Methods: The 137Cs and 210Pb dating technique was used to reconstruct the time correspondence between tidal flat sediments and runoff, and the periodic response was explored between the changes in the tidal flat sediments and runoff based on the spectrum analysis method. (3) Results: The average sedimentation rate in the tidal flat was 2.24 cm·year−1 during the past 50 years. The amount of fine sediment particles deposited on the estuary tidal flat was directly related to the amount of sediments transported by the river and inversely proportional to the ability of rivers to transport fine matter. The high frequency reproduction cycle of 14–15 years in the flood season flow and 5–6 years in the annual sediment discharge of the Liaohe River correspond to the high and low frequency reproduction cycles of the median size of sediments in Liaohe estuarine wetland tidal flats. (4) Conclusions: The research clarified the hydrological constraints of the action law between Liaohe River runoff and the estuarine sediments. The periodic response between Liaohe River runoff and the sediment was established.

Structure of a cantilever-type unimorph piezoelectric generator was proposed and designed so as to allow the generator to resonate at frequencies lower than commercial frequencies. This generator is capable of generating amount of voltage its despite low frequency and simple fabrication that result from its simple structure. In this paper, the resonance characteristics of the generator depending on significant parameters were determined through a modal analysis and the influence of each parameter was analyzed to define each its level of sensitivity on the high output characteristics using ANSYS, a FEM program. The generators resonated at frequencies lower than 60 [Hz], as determined through the FEM results. The generating characteristics were then defined by implementing vibration experiment and comparing the results with those from the analysis. The resonance frequency and output power depending on changes in the mass and material were determined by the analysis.

Triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is the new technique that can convert low-frequency mechanical energy into effective electricity. As an energy collector, the pursuit of high output characteristics is understandable. Although high charge density has been achieved by working in high vacuum or charge pumping techniques, it remains challenging to obtain the high output performance directly in the atmosphere. Herein, surface-engineering of the triboelectric layer for enhancing output performance has been reviewed carefully. By constructing surface morphology or developing surface modification, high performance of TENGs is finally presented in the review.

In dogs the stimulation of the sympathetic fibers innervating a segment of resting gastric mucosa of the corpus did not augment the basal secretion of pepsinogen when the frequency of stimulation varied between 1 and 10/sec. At rates of 15/sec. or higher the pepsinogen output was markedly increased. Secretion of hydrochloric acid was not elicited by sympathetic stimulation alone. The output of pepsinogen was increased transiently by histamine; however, the concomitant use of histamine and sympathetic stimulation even at low frequency (less than 10/sec.) resulted in a high output of pepsinogen for a long period of time. These findings are considered to be evidence that the pepsinogen-secreting glands are stimulated by histamine. Intravenous Dibenzyline antagonized the effect of the sympathetic stimulation. The transitory effect of histamine on pepsinogen secretion and the role of the sympathetic thereon are discussed.
