A simplified mathematical model for modulation and demodulation of a single channel monopulse (SCM) system is proposed, which is based on a ship-borne pulse radar S-band guided receiver. Using the proposed mathematical model, the modulation and demodulation of single-channel and multi-channel signals were simulated respectively, and the factors influencing the modulation and demodulation of the SCM system were analysed.

The article presents the possibility of increasing the service life of pumping units. Particular attention is paid to the regulation of the speed of rotation of the pumping unit. There are some assumptions in the mathematical model that do not affect the final result. The factors influencing the operating mode are given. It is indicated that the speed of rotation of the pump shaft significantly affects the wear resistance of the pump blades. Thus, the regulation of the pump rotation speed will rationally increase its service life.

The determination problem of adhesion coefficient of locomotives’ wheels with rails is described in this paper. The use of methods of mathematical statistics and theory of probability provides wider possibilities for determining the most acceptable (suitable) value of the adhesion coefficient. The random factors influencing on this value are analysed. The use of the adhesion coefficient values based on reliable research results could help maintain uninterrupted (continuous) traffic of heavy freight trains and increase not only the carrying capacity, but also the volume of the transported goods. The paper considers a mathematical model of steady traffic of heavy freight trains pulled by upgraded locomotives of the series 2M62M on railway line with a gradient. The research results show that the actual values of the adhesion coefficient and the total resistance are distributed according to the normal distribution law. A mode of locomotive motion largely depends on the relationship between the total train's running resistance and locomotive tractive force. Finally, basic conclusions are given.

This paper describes a mathematical model for determining the total heat transfer in combustion chambers of steam generators. The model is based on the energy balance of radiation in a spherical combustion chamber which is divided into a combustion zone and gaseous zone. The model was tested on a Hewlett-Packard Type 9815 A computer with 2008 program memories. Calculations were made for a number of steam generator combustion chambers of different furnace loads for which all important factors were established. The model allows a didactic analysis of factors influencing the process of combustion and heat transfer.

ABSTRACT According to probability laws, additive interaction between factors influencing recombination frequency suggests that the factors affect the same event. This analysis, applied to Carpenter and Sandler's (1974) data, permits separation of different sequential events during establishment of preconditions for exchange. The validity of another mathematical model for meiotic mutant characterization, suggested by those authors, is discussed.

Actuality. The article studies the possibility of the conservative treatment of acute urinary retention in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. The purpose of this study is to improve the results of treatment of patients with acute urinary retention by revealing a complex of factors influencing the prognosis and treatment modalities. Materials and methods. Assessment of the prediction of the response to the treatment was performed by means of the study of 280 patients hospitalized in the urology department No. 8 within 20122015. A retrospective analysis of the treatment outcomes has been performed. Results and conclusions. Correlation and regression analysis reveals a complex of the most significant independent factors that influence the outcome of conservative treatment of acute urinary retention in case of benign prostatic hyperplasia. These factors can be used as the basis for a mathematical model for predicting the outcome of conservative treatment of acute urinary retention during BPH. A computer program to estimate the prognosis of life of patients has been developed. This program allows to develop the best treatment modality for a particular patient.

The chip-breaking groove of a blade is one of the main factors influencing chip control. In this paper, we report the use of a virtual reality technique to optimize the shape of the groove on a blade according to the status of chip formation and breakage. First, by using the software, World Tool Kid, the virtual cutting systems were developed to determine the linkages between the moving parts in the machine tool and display the virtual course of chip formation and breakage. And then, the virtual reality of optimizing the shape of the turning blade groove was carried out, that is, during calculation of loci in dimensional movement and solving mathematical model of the chip breakage, by inputting the groove’s parameters and cutting conditions of the blade, and simulating the track in dimensional movement of a chip and the restricting relations between the chip and each barrier, the intersecting coordinates in dimensional points of chips and the breaking manner could be solved. For improper chip-breaking manner, by modifying the model parameters, the blade groove was recalculated until the chips could be broken with ease. Based on the shapes of chips, the shape of the blades’ groove can be optimized to get optimal shape.

This article chose three different types of carbon materials as objects, through analyzing the various factors influencing the thermal conductivity; we were to raise the basic mathematical model between the thermal conductivity and graphitization degree. At the same time the correct value in some articles was chosen to establish the corresponding mathematical model of three kinds of carbon materials. After inspection by test results, This model’s relative error was within 7%.The model brought up by this paper has the vital significance to predict the thermal conductivity of the carbon materials and guide the deep application research.

The paper considers the factors influencing the estimated indicator of the technical state of the plunger pairs, when they are equipped according to the hydrodensity. To determine the influence of factors on the estimated value of the plunger pair in terms of hydrodensity, a two-factor experiment was planned and implemented, and a mathematical model was obtained for the process of selecting plunger pairs as a set for hydro-densities. On the basis of the research, it is suggested to complete the plunger pairs as a set on the KI-759 device with a mathematical dependence to reduce the error.
