As one of the important geographic information products, orthophotos play an extremely important role in the field of geographic information. With the rapid development of China’s economic construction and the continuous improvement of photogrammetry technology, traditional orthophoto has been replaced by real orthophoto to meet the requirements of large-scale accurate mapping. This article discusses the method of generating real shot images, uses drone images, and uses Zhanwei New Village in Wuhan as the survey area to lay out the ground control points. Based on Pix4D modeling, the air and three encryptions are completed and based on high-precision DSM Quickly generate real radiography products. The research in this paper shows that the corrected real image can eliminate the phenomenon of blocking the wall and the problem of occlusion. It has a good effect and can be used in the field of line drawing maps. It provides a simple and quick solution for the rapid acquisition of orthophotos in the field of photogrammetry.

In this study, discrete fracture network (DFN) modelling was performed for Triassic–Jurassic analogue reservoir units of the NW Lurestan region, Iran. The modelling was elaborated following a multi-scale statistical sampling of the fracture systems characterising the analysed succession. The multi-scale approach was performed at two different observation scales. At the macro-scale, a digital outcrop analysis was carried out by means of a digital line-drawing based on camera-acquired images, focussing on the distribution of major throughgoing fractures; at the meso-scale, the scan line method was applied to investigate the background fractures of the examined formations. The gathered data were statistically analysed in order to estimate the laws governing the statistical distribution of some key fracture set attributes, namely, spacing, aperture, and height. The collected dataset was used for the DFN modelling, allowing the evaluation of the relative connectivity of the fracture systems and, therefore, defining the architecture and the geometries within the fracture network. The performed fracture modelling, confirmed, once again, the crucial impact that large-scale throughgoing fractures have on the decompartmentalization of a reservoir and on the related fluid flow migration processes. The derived petrophysical properties distribution showed in the models, defined the Kurra Chine Fm. and, especially, the Sehkaniyan Fm. as good-quality reservoir units, whereas the Sarki Fm was considered a poor-quality reservoir unit.

The Impact

Maps are powerful modes of communication between scientists and novices. Cartographer Erwin Raisz understood just how powerful maps could be for visualizing the broad landscape. His physiographic method of landscape representation merged pictorial representation with large-scale cartography to generate some of the most vivid images of the physical landscape in the early part of the 20th century. Today, despite our ability to represent the landscape with increasingly realistic representations, there is a fondness for those traditional style line drawings. Thus, it is important to take time and reflect on the impact of Raisz’s physiographic map on modern terrain representation. Here we look at Raisz’s own body of work and his influence on modern cartographers, and finally we look at non-photorealistic representation’s potential for replicating early line drawing methods like Raisz’s.

AbstractUnusual short-period comet 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 inspired many observers to explain its unpredictable outbursts. In this paper large scale structures and features from the inner part of the coma in time periods around outbursts are studied. CCD images were taken at Whipple Observatory, Mt. Hopkins, in 1989 and at Astronomical Observatory, Modra, from 1995 to 1998. Photographic plates of the comet were taken at Harvard College Observatory, Oak Ridge, from 1974 to 1982. The latter were digitized at first to apply the same techniques of image processing for optimizing the visibility of features in the coma during outbursts. Outbursts and coma structures show various shapes.

AbstractThe large-scale coronal structures observed during the sporadically visible solar eclipses were compared with the numerically extrapolated field-line structures of coronal magnetic field. A characteristic relationship between the observed structures of coronal plasma and the magnetic field line configurations was determined. The long-term evolution of large scale coronal structures inferred from photospheric magnetic observations in the course of 11- and 22-year solar cycles is described.Some known parameters, such as the source surface radius, or coronal rotation rate are discussed and actually interpreted. A relation between the large-scale photospheric magnetic field evolution and the coronal structure rearrangement is demonstrated.

AbstractPrecise measurements of heliographic position of solar filaments were used for determination of the proper motion of solar filaments on the time-scale of days. The filaments have a tendency to make a shaking or waving of the external structure and to make a general movement of whole filament body, coinciding with the transport of the magnetic flux in the photosphere. The velocity scatter of individual measured points is about one order higher than the accuracy of measurements.

Trends in the technology development of very large scale integrated circuits (VLSI) have been in the direction of higher density of components with smaller dimensions. The scaling down of device dimensions has been not only laterally but also in depth. Such efforts in miniaturization bring with them new developments in materials and processing. Successful implementation of these efforts is, to a large extent, dependent on the proper understanding of the material properties, process technologies and reliability issues, through adequate analytical studies. The analytical instrumentation technology has, fortunately, kept pace with the basic requirements of devices with lateral dimensions in the micron/ submicron range and depths of the order of nonometers. Often, newer analytical techniques have emerged or the more conventional techniques have been adapted to meet the more stringent requirements. As such, a variety of analytical techniques are available today to aid an analyst in the efforts of VLSI process evaluation. Generally such analytical efforts are divided into the characterization of materials, evaluation of processing steps and the analysis of failures.

Patterning of metals is a key element in the fabrication of integrated microelectronics. For circuit repair and engineering changes constructive lithography, writing techniques, based on electron, ion or photon beam-induced decomposition of precursor molecule and its deposition on top of a structure have gained wide acceptance Recently, scanning probe techniques have been used for line drawing and wire growth of W on a silicon substrate for quantum effect devices. The kinetics of electron beam induced W deposition from WF6 gas has been studied by adsorbing the gas on SiO2 surface and measuring the growth in a TEM for various exposure times. Our environmental cell allows us to control not only electron exposure time but also the gas pressure flow and the temperature. We have studied the growth kinetics of Au Chemical vapor deposition (CVD), in situ, at different temperatures with/without the electron beam on highly clean Si surfaces in an environmental cell fitted inside a TEM column.

Titanium nitride (TiN) films have historically been used as diffusion barrier between silicon and aluminum, as an adhesion layer for tungsten deposition and as an interconnect material etc. Recently, the role of TiN films as contact barriers in very large scale silicon integrated circuits (VLSI) has been extensively studied. TiN films have resistivities on the order of 20μ Ω-cm which is much lower than that of titanium (nearly 66μ Ω-cm). Deposited TiN films show resistivities which vary from 20 to 100μ Ω-cm depending upon the type of deposition and process conditions. TiNx is known to have a NaCl type crystal structure for a wide range of compositions. Change in color from metallic luster to gold reflects the stabilization of the TiNx (FCC) phase over the close packed Ti(N) hexagonal phase. It was found that TiN (1:1) ideal composition with the FCC (NaCl-type) structure gives the best electrical property.
