This paper investigates the meshing errors of the toroidal drive, reveals three typical latency errors and develops the error analysis in this typical type of gear drives. Having identified the latency errors, the error integrated coordinate transformation is implemented. This leads to the development of the error impinged meshing model. The model reveals for the first time the effect of the latency errors in gear meshing contact of a toroidal drive and characterizes the error effect on meshing contact. The effect of these errors on the gear coordinate frames is hence presented and on the contact paths of rollers is analyzed. The study leads to a new method for compensating the three latency errors by introducing a bearing with a changeable oil film. The method is then verified in a prototype and demonstrates to be effective.

This study proposes a new modification of the homotopy perturbation method. A new parameter alpha is introduced into the homotopy equation in order to improve the results and accuracy. An optimal analysis identifies the parameter alpha, aimed at improving the solutions. A comparative analysis of the proposed method reveals that the new method presents results with higher degree of accuracy and precision than the classic homotopy perturbation method. Absolute error analysis shows the convenience of the proposed method, providing much smaller errors. Two examples are presented: Duffing and Van der pol’s nonlinear oscillators to demonstrate the efficiency, accuracy, and applicability of the new method.

In allusion to the need of analyzing complex system, we have proposed a method named multi-grade color Petri net. We for the first time use this new method to analyze a missile training simulator system. This model can accurately reflect the complex environments of the system and avoid the difficulty occurring often in developing accurate mathematics model by using classical research approach.

Attitudes towards contraceptive methods were sampled among 117 women, in their mid-20's, selecting a new method (Pill, IUD, Injectable) and a comparison group of women undergoing termination of pregnancy for the first time. High concordance was found, suggesting women were applying essentially the same standards in making their selection.

Line-of-sight rate is the key parameter that enables inertial stabilized platforms to implement guidance laws successfully for target tracking or attacking. It is always obtained by experiments. In this article, a theoretical model of the line-of-sight rate is established for the first time, starting with the gimbal motion. The strategy to acquire line-of-sight rate is based on the servo control circuit. The measurement equations for line-of-sight rate are derived using a coordinate transformation. An error model is then obtained with the help of differentiation. The error of an inertial stabilized platform prototype is measured, showing that the line-of-sight rate error can be predicted accurately. Finally, a high-precision inertial stabilized platform is successfully designed and analyzed, with the accuracy of 0.06°/s and 0.37°/s when line-of-sight rates are set to 1.5°/s and 9°/s, respectively.

We design and analyze a new non-conforming domain decomposition method, named the NICEM method, based on Schwarz-type approaches that allows for the use of Robin interface conditions on non-conforming grids. The method is proven to be well posed. The error analysis is performed in 2D and in 3D for P1 elements. Numerical results in 2D illustrate the new method.

Utilizing a photolabile ligand as MOF strut can make a framework undergo full or partial decomposition upon irradiation. For the first time, a nitrophenylacetate derivative has been incorporated into MOF as a backbone linker via PLSE method. The photo-induced decarboxylation of the NPDAC-MOF represents a novel way of degrading a MOF, which provides an innovative approach to formulating photoresponsive porous materials with potential applications in molecular release and drug delivery. When photoactive linker is mixed with non-photolabile linker via partial PLSE, the MOF structure can be retained after irradiation, but with the introduction of multiple defects, offering a new method to create vacancies in MOFs. Defect repair can be achieved by treatment with replacement ligands, the scope of which is an interesting area for developing customizable MOF contents.<br>

<p>Nucleophilic substitution on hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCCTP) with allylamine in order to give hexa(allylamino)cyclotriphosphazene (HACTP)  is performed for the first time under mild conditions by using diethylether as solvent to replace benzene which is very toxic. The reaction time is reduced to half and also performed at room temperature but especially in the presence of an eco-catalyst called Maghnite-H+. This catalyst has a significant role in the industrial scale. In fact, the use of Maghnite is preferred for its many advantages: a very low purchase price compared to other catalysts, the easy removal of the reaction mixture. Then, Maghnite-H+ is became an excellent catalyst for many chemical reactions. The structure of HACTP synthesized in the presence of Maghnite-H+ to 5% by weight is confirmed by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, 31P-NMR (Nuclear magnetic resonance) and FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy). MALDI-TOF (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionisation-time-of-flight mass spectrometry) is used to establish the molecular weight of HACTP which is 471 g/mol. DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetery) and TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis) show that HACTP is a crystalline product with a melting point of 88 °C. It is reactive after melting but is degraded from 230 °C. Copyright © 2016 BCREC GROUP. Abstract. The vertical temperature profiles in a typical Rayleigh lidar system depends on the backscatter photon counts and the CIRA-86 model inputs. For the first time, we show that, by making simultaneous measurements of Rayleigh lidar and upper mesospheric O2 temperatures, the lidar capability can be enhanced to obtain mesospheric temperature profile up to about 95 km altitudes. The obtained results are compared with instantaneous space-borne SABER measurements for a validation.

This paper presents a new method to determine an optimum topology of plate structure using coordinate transformation by conformal mapping. We have already proposed a method to determine an optimum topology of planar structure using coordinate transformation by conformal mapping. In that study first we defined simple design domain in which analysis and optimization were performed easily. We calculated optimum topology in this simple design domain. Then we applied coordinate transformation by conformal mapping to optimum topology calculated in simple design domain, and obtained some optimum topologies in complex design domain. We also showed that the invariants of stresses which were the sum and difference of principal stress satisfied Laplace equation and relationshi p between fluid mechanics and electromagnetic could be valid in the theory of elasticity. In this study we clarify two invariants of bending moments satisfy Laplace equation under a certain condition. We note the similarity between Airy stress function of 2-D elastic body and deflection of plate, and will show that the two invariants of bending moments which are the sum and difference of principal bending moments satisfy Laplace equation using this similarity. As a result we will show that corresponding relationship between fluid mechanics, electromagnetic and elasticity may be valid in the theory of plate. Then by using this relationship, we proposed a new method to determine optimum topology using coordinate transformation by conformal mapping. Our proposed method will be useful to determine optimum topology easily in complex design domain. Through numerical examples, we can examine the effectiveness of the proposed method.

From the stem bark of Rhamnus catharticus L. (purging buckthorn) the three main anthraquinone glycosides have been isolated by the new method of droplet-countercurrent-chromatography. Their structures were spectroscopically identified as em odin-8-O-β-gentiobioside, -glucoside and -primveroside. From these the primveroside is a new substance, the gentiobioside has been found for the second time in plant material. The structures were confirmed by 13C NMR spectroscopy for the first time in O-glycosides of emodin type. Especially the differences in 13C chemical shifts of the free resp. acetylated aglycones and glycosides are useful parameters for determining the position of O-glycosylation in the 1,8-dihydroxy-anthraquinone derivatives
