Although price reduction is an interesting topic in marketing literature and has studied in numerous papers, less attention is paid to its effect on consumer behavior. This paper analyzes the effect of the price promotion on consumer’s behavior in terms of the percentage of buying and the brand loyalty in the U.S. differentiated yogurt market. This paper tries to answer the following questions. Is the choice of high preferred brands sensitive to the price promotion of less preferred brands? Are there loyal consumers in the yogurt market? How sensitive is the consumer loyalty of high preferred brands to the price promotion of less preferred brands? Results show that a unit increase in the frequency of price reduction of less popular brands will decrease the consumer’s choice of high popular brands significantly. Switching across brands is very common and there are less loyal consumers in the yogurt market where main brands have collectively only 12% loyal consumers. Loyalty of high popular brands is also sensitive to the price promotion of less popular brands as a unit increase in the frequency of price reduction for less preferred brands will decreases the share of households who are loyal to high popular brands of General Mills and Danone.

The rapid growth of the world economy driven by globalization and well supported by information technology results in economic boom across all the business throughout the world virtually leading to significant cross border transactions. The distribution and trading business in particular has no protection in the emerging countries like Indonesia. Hypermarket is one of the very popular concepts in distribution industry which has been developing rapidly in Indonesia and other emerging markets.<br />The sustainable growth of Hypermarket industry largely attributed to consumers’ loyalty driven by marketing strategies and tactics supported by advanced information technology networking. Understanding Consumer behavior is one of the key successes of maintaining consumer loyalty. In this research, Consumer Impulse Buying Behavior and its influence on consumer loyalty has been dealt in detail. The main objective of this study was identifying the influence of Personal Antecedents, In-store Stimuli, In-store Browsing, Shopping Enjoyment, Convenience Orientation, and Perceived Time Pressure to Consumer Impulse Buying Behavior of Hypermarket in Jakarta to assess whether Impulse Buying influence the Consumer Store Loyalty. A conceptual model has been developed to test the relationships among these constructs. The findings expected to enrich the local traditional markets or small and medium enterprises to equip themselves as their competitive edge against the modern retailers and the hypermarkets as well. A new structural model devised to explain the various influences of the relationship among the variables. From the proposed seven hypotheses, there were four hypotheses significantly supportive, while three hypotheses were not supportive. Results and analysis show an interesting hypermarket consumer behavior in Jakarta which consistently enjoy shopping despite having time pressure, insufficient cash availability and lack of attention to in-store stimuli and store convenience. Interestingly this consumer segment was very impulsive in buying decisions and the  empirical analysis shows that they were loyal to the store they visit to enjoy shopping as a simple means of recreation

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh Celebrity Endorser dan Product Quality terhadap Buying Decision serta dampaknya pada Satisfaction (survei pada konsumen produk Rossa Beauty di Kota Pontianak). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kausalitas deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah responden yang pernah membeli dan menggunakan produk kosmetik merek Rossa Beauty selama 6 bulan terakhir sebanyak 100 orang yang diperoleh dengan purposive sampling. Advertisements have been used for many years to influence the buying behaviors of the consumers. Advertisements are helpful in creating the awareness and perception among the customers of a product. This particular research was conducted on the 100 young male and female who use different brands of product to check the influence of advertisement on their buying behavior while creating the awareness and building the perceptions. Correlation, regression and other statistical tools were used to identify the relationship between these variables. The results revealed that the relationship between media and consumer behavior is positive. The adve1tising impact on sales and there is positive and high degree relationship between advertising and consumer behavior. The impact on advertising of a product of electronic media is better than non-electronic media.

When purchasing packaged products within a supermarket, consumers choose between proprietary or private label brands. However, when purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables, non-branded produce is the dominant option—with proprietary and private label brands only recently becoming available. Previous fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) research finds that proprietary and private label brands affect consumer loyalty—however, no research exists for fresh categories. This research is the first to determine the effect of emerging brands in fresh categories on consumer buying behavior. Our research examines consumers’ loyalty toward proprietary, private label, or non-branded fresh fruits and vegetables and the level of customer sharing between these options, using analytical approaches applicable to FMCG categories. The panel data contains nearly 46,000 households making over 8 million purchases in the United States during 2015. Results show that proprietary, private label, and now non-branded fresh produce have expected loyalty levels, for their size, and consumers share their purchases across the three options (i.e., consumers are not loyal to just one option). The study analyzes and interprets purchase data in fresh categories offering marketing academics and practitioners actionable advice for working with fresh produce purchase data.

Abstrack   This research is intended to analyze the influence of brand equity on the consumer buying behavior. The respondents consist of 100 electronic user in Regional Province of Yogyakarta. Questionnaire are used to collect data from the respondents and the data were analized by Multiple Regression Analysis. The result of the study indicate that: (i). brand equity has significant influence on the consumer buying behavior (ii). brand loyalty has dominant influence on the custumer buying behavior.   Keywords: Brand Equity, Consumer Buying Behavior. Purpose of the study: This study aims to examine five proposed research models and understand the factors affecting customer expectation, service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, and brand loyalty in Online Travel Agent (OTA) companies. This study also evaluates the general feelings of the customers whether they feel satisfied or not with OTA products and/or services. Methodology: The research method of this study used a quantitative approach and analyzed the acquired data by using single and multiple linear regression techniques. The service quality, customer expectation, corporate image, perceived value, customer satisfaction, known as predictor variables that affect the dependent variable of brand loyalty. Main Findings: From the statistical tests conducted in this study, it reveals that only one out of all eleven hypotheses were not accepted. Surprisingly it reveals that the customers keep purchase hotel and/or flight tickets from online travel booking sites no matter its service quality. Customer satisfaction and corporate image were influenced more significantly rather than its service quality. Implication: This study evaluates all customers past purchasing behaviors of the hotel and/or flight tickets purchased through OTA, and the result was valid, thus it can be used to reflect on how Indonesian OTA’s products and services may improve the customer satisfaction through their marketing program in the future. Novelty/Originality of this study: There have been problems that might found in Indonesian OTAs that may lower its customer satisfaction level toward the traveling industry. However, there was only a limited number of OTA research studies conducted for the Indonesia market to understand its online consumer behavior. Therefore this study was conducted to explore the plausible factors that cause the problem.

Competition between the food and beverage industry, especially local souvenirs, is a challenge for every business actor to be able to maintain and develop his business. Repurchase decision is the stage where consumers form the intention to buy the most preferred product, where the consumer's decision to modify, delay or avoid is strongly influenced by the perceived purchase risk (Kotler and Keller, 2012: 188).Brand image can influence consumer behavior in buying a product. Brand image has an important position in buying behavior. Because one of the decisions in the purchase structure is a decision regarding the brand. Trust involves a person's willingness to behave in a certain way because of the belief that his partner will give what he hopes and a hope that is generally owned by someone that the words, promises or statements of others can be trusted (Daryanto, 2013: 279).Brand trust is one's belief in certain values that will influence behavior (Peter and Olson, 2013: 136). Brand loyalty reflects brand loyalty to certain brands. Brand loyalty is a condition where consumers have a positive attitude towards the brand, have a commitment to the brand, and have a tendency to continue their purchases in the future.Along with the development of the bread industry in Indonesia, there are also more players in the bread business so that competition in this market is getting tougher. The tight competition in the bread business can be seen from a number of bread business players in Indonesia, including bread with the brand Sari Roti, Lauw, Sharon, BreadTalk, Holland Bakery, and many more including the Lapis Kukus Pahlawan Bread. This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image and brand trust on purchasing decisions of the Lapis Kukus Pahlawan bread through brand loyalty.

Regarding the importance of psychological processes in the consumer behavior, the article examines the influence of emotional motivators on purchase decisions in cosmetics industry. The empirical research was conducted from February to March 2020, on the sample of 125 respondents in Serbia. The participants answered the questions about the positive and negative emotions that occurred during the purchasing process. When defining the questionnaire, we started from the fact that emotions, which influence consumer behavior can be integral or incidental emotions. The aim of the study was to identify the emotions that have the strongest effect on consumers when purchasing cosmetic products. During the statistical data processing, the following techniques and methods were implemented: the descriptive statistical measures (frequencies and percentage, arithmetical midranges), the measures of variability, the correlation method. The survey indicated that the most dominant emotions that affect consumer purchasing decisions related to cosmetics products in the Republic of Serbia are positive emotions. The majority of respondents recognized hope as the most important emotion in their buying behavior.

PPurpose – the purpose of the current research was to investigate the influence of the experience of players and no-players on their purchasing behavior in a gamified purchasing setting. Research methodology – PLS-SEM has been employed to investigate the effect of gaming on consumer behavior and analyze the data gathered via the questionnaire distributed online. Findings – unlike studies in different domains, where the positive impact of game experience in a gamified learning environment and purchasing intention towards gamified products has been highlighted, the results of this research reveal the irrelevance of game experience in online purchasing behavior. Research limitations – firstly, no comparison has been made concerning the differences between board-games and online games. Secondly, the length of time spent playing has not been analyzed. Lastly, the research does not offer any insight regarding the country, nor compare online and offline buying behavior. Practical implications – eventually, game experience needlessly impacts the purchasing process in a gamified setting. Game design, personality, characteristics, cultural background and other attributes of the participants are an important caveat. Originality/Value – the research reveals stimulating results for scholars in the field of gamification, game elements, consumer behavior, and online purchasing
