There are many variables affected housing affordability. The variables are household income, household expenditure, monthly household payment, type of work, level of education, number of children, house price, housing location etc. These variables have been used as an indicator for future housing buyer before they make a decision to own a house. The objectives of this research are to determine the relationship between housing affordability and house ownership. The sample of this research comprises individuals who own a house at Flat Setia Vista, Relau, Pulau Pinang. The convenience sampling technique is used for this research with Binary Logistic Regression method as its analytical tool. The findings indicate that from six variables were tested in this research, namely household income, household expenditure, monthly household payment, type of work, level of education and number of children, only two variables have a relationship of housing affordability in housing ownership in Penang such as household income and number of children.

The main objective behind this study is to find out the main factors that affects the efficiency of household income in Darfur rejoin. The statistical technique of the binary logistic regression has been used to test if there is a significant effect of fife binary explanatory variables against the response variable (income efficiency); sample of size 136 household head is gathered from the relevant population. The outcomes of the study showed that; there is a significant effect of the level of household expenditure on the efficiency of income, beside the size of household also has significant effect on the response variable, the remaining explanatory variables showed no significant effects, those are (household head education level, size of household head own agricultural and numbers of students at school).

The purpose of the study is first, to measure young professionals’ affordability by underpinning the residual income approach and second, to explore the affordability through the housing trajectories concept. Thus, 290 survey data were analysed using the binary logistic regression. The study found that the predictors such as the presence of children, professional for engineer and quantity surveyor, employment status of permanent and other, household expenditure, household income, housing cost, transportation cost, housing location of Petaling Jaya and Putrajaya, are statistically significant to the housing affordability.

Much of the literature defines housing affordability as the relationship between household income and housing expenditure (housing costs). Affordable housing refers to the affordability of the household to own or rent the housing. Housing becomes unaffordable if the housing costs exceed the income of the household. Thus, the objective of this paper is to define the difference between housing affordability and an affordable house and to identify the factors influencing the gap between housing affordability and an affordable house. To achieve the objectives of this paper, 28 variables or factors have been identified. These variables or factors are then analysed by using the descriptive method of analysis. After analysing 28 identified variables or factors, the findings show that a high house price, a high monthly repayment, the type of property ownership and the land area either extremely or moderately influenced the gap between housing affordability and an affordable house.

This study is aimed to examine variables that determine mobile banking resistance among banking customer in Mataram. The study included independent variables to a logistic regression model to predict mobile banking adoption or non-adoption. Referring Theory of Innovation Resistance that proposed by Ram and Sheth’s (1989), the study examined the effect of resistance barriers variables i.e. usage barrier, value barrier, risk barrier, tradition barrier and image barrier on mobile banking resistance. In addition, the study examined demographic factors i.e. gender, age, level of education and household income. Total respondents were 234, who were of customers of BRI, BCA and Mandiri in Mataram who use mobile devices (cellular phones, smartphones, tablets). Data were analyzed using Binary Logistic Regression because the dependent variable i.e. mobile banking resistance is measured by a binary scale, 0 for “user” and 1 for “non-user”. The results showed that usage barrier, value barrier, and risk barrier had a positive significant effect on mobile banking resistance. Among demographic variables, only gender and age had a significant effect on mobile banking resistance, while household income and level of education had a non-significant effect. Keywords: mobile banking, resistance barriers, innovation resistance, logistic regression

This paper presents a study of household gambling consumption in Thailand in 2011. We investigate the nonlinear relationships between this behavior and household alcohol expenditure, household gambling expenditure, and demographic factors. We use Treenet to analyze datasets drawn from a socio-economic survey of 42,083 Thai households conducted in 2011. The results show that the five most significant variables in order of importance for predicting the likelihood of household gambling consumption are household income, household region, work status of the household head, religion of the household head, and age of the household head. In summary, the Treenet results suggest that the likelihood of gambling consumption was higher for households with an income of more than 25,000 Bahts per year, a location in the North, a Buddhist head of household, a head with active work status, a head between 35 and 55 years old, with household expenditure spent on alcohol consumed at home of more than 500 Bahts, with household expenditure spent on tobacco of more than 100 Bahts, and a head of household with less education.

The process of the study begins from problem identification, literature review, case study, data collection, analysis and interpretation of research findings. Questionnaires are used to collect the primary data from respondents while literatures reviews are the secondary data for the research. The sample of this research includes 95 single mothers who are working and registered under The Ministry of Women and Family Darul Takzim. They are also may own an affordable housing provide by government which is single and double storey low and medium cost in range RM50,000 to RM80,000. In the end of study, various proposals are recommended such as government should control the house price in the market, loosening the loan conditions, the payment of 10 percent deposit and also loosening the rate interest. For developer, they should increase the number of housing for target groups and carry out the market study to identify the affordable housing price.

This research aims to determine the demographic and economic factors affecting agriculture cooperation activity in Kosovo. Primary data was collected from 249 farmers in Kosovo through structured questionnaires using the random sampling technique. The results show that the level of cooperation among farmers in Kosovo is low due to the lack of trust in the cooperative institutions. The binary logistic regression analysis used in the study shows that location, gender, age, education level, trust, and farm size have significantly influenced the cooperation activity. Findings also highlight that the farmers who live in rural areas, as well as those who are young and have got a higher level of education and trust, show a higher level of activity associated with cooperation, whereas farms managed by (older) men with lower level of education are less likely to cooperate. Estimation indicates that medium sized farms show a high level of cooperation, which can be statistically verified, and only the type of farming has nonsignificant influence in cooperation.

Background: Coronavirus disease is a highly transmittable and pathogenic viral infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, which poses therapeutic dilemmas. Some suggestions for drug treatment seem problematic. Beliefs about the causes of health problems are determinants of treatment seeking decisions. Hence, one of the alternatives for the solution of health problems is employing traditional medicine to prevent coronavirus disease 19. Objective: To assess the knowledge, attitude, and utilization of drugs toward the coronavirus disease 19 pandemic among Bale zone residents. Methods: Community-based cross-sectional study was conducted among the Bale Zone population from May 30 to June 30, 2020. Eight hundred fifty-four participants were selected using a single population formula, and a multistage sampling technique was employed. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25.0. Descriptive and binary logistic regression was used to analyze the outcomes. A p value ⩽ 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Out of the total 854 respondents, about 534 (62.5%) got information about coronavirus disease 19 from TV/radio. More than two-thirds (71.9%) of the respondents have known that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 has no curative drugs, and 65.4% had a more appropriate attitude toward overall drug use in coronavirus disease 19. Level of education and, attitude towards drug use were singnificantly associated with knowledge of drugs, source of information about coronavirus disease 19 and having good practice were significantly associated with atittude toward drug utilization. Conclusion: One out of two study participants have good knowledge regarding drugs to the coronavirus disease 19 pandemic. Illiterate people in the community were identified to have poor knowledge about drugs, hence community educuation program is important to improve the knowledge about drugs towards the coronavirus disease 19 pandemic.
