Flood is a commonly occurring hazard in Malaysia. The climate change in combination with the sea level rise will affected the frequency of flood events especially in a tropical country like Malaysia. Many researches focused on modeling rainfall data have been carried out in Malaysia. However, most of the rainfall studies did not include the zero values. The importance of these zero measurements should be examined in order to increase the quality of the research. The main purpose of this paper is to study the effect of zero measurement in rainfall analysis by applying a mixed bivariate lognormal distribution. The inter-station correlation coefficient was calculated in three cases of datasets. The first case considered only the positive values at both stations, and the second case included the positive values at either one of the stations, while the third case considered all values including zeroes at both rainfall stations. It was found that only the cases considering the positive measurements are useful and valid for the characterization of rainfall fields in our analysis.

The changes established by the Ottawa Charter in he conceptualization of public health replaced risk prevention strategies with other promotion strategies focused on the development of competencies. Contributing to a better quality of life for people under favorable social, political and economic conditions enforcing the necessary means for greater control over health decisions with intersectoral participation made up of different organizations. The objective of the work is to recognize the communicative models in organizations linked to the health of the Third Sector of the city of Mar del Plata (Argentine Republic) at present. A quantitative, descriptive methodology is adopted on the study population, revealing strategies anchored in prevention, deterministic, vertical, based on the dissemination of content and scarcely oriented towards the collective construction of behavioral patterns that allow awareness of the factors Contributory to psycho-bio- social well-being.

Abstract This study assessed the spatio-temporal variability of soil loss based on rainfall–runoff erosivity in the context of climate change in the Kosi river basin. The observed rainfall data (1985–2017) were used for past and present analyses, and the projected rainfall data (2020–2100) interpolated for various general circulation models (GCMs) were used for future analysis. The results of rainfall analysis for the projected period show a maximum percentage variation of 26.2% for a particular GCM and an average of 9.4% increase in the rainfall data from all selected GCMs considering three representative concentration pathways (RCPs). We also evaluated the implications of change in the soil loss due to changes in the rainfall pattern and crop management factor for three time slices. The results for the projected time period showed a concomitant increase in the average soil loss of −13.03–10.39% with respect to the baseline. The average soil loss results for the time period of 2020–2100 are also compared with the average soil loss for each RCP scenario and found very meager changes in the area of soil erosion. The results due to climate change aid in prioritizing the areas with suitable conservation support practices.

Studies of the distribution of soil organic matter (SOM) below intensively cultivated fields on clayey sediments of Quaternary age in Denmark show three markedly different zones from the surface and down to about 10 meters below surface. Each zone reflects the balance between input and losses of since the last glaciation.

The upper zone makes up the uppermost few meters below the soil surface. Here, the inherited bioavailable pool of SOM has mineralized and only small amounts of not-bioavailable SOM are present. The largest pool of SOM is renewable and derives from crops grown in the field.

In the underlying middle zone, the content of inherited SOM is very low and seems well protected against biological decomposition (not-bioavailable). No renewable source of SOM from the crops seems to reach down to this middle zone.

In the third and deepest zone, only inherited SOM is present. The SOM origins from the sediments deposited during the last glaciation, about 12,000 years ago.

Typically, the lowest contents of SOM is in the middle zone.

Zonation by content, composition, and bioavailability of the organic matter in soils and deeper sediments is important for the fate of many environmentally substances and for the quality of soil water as well of the quality of other parts of the aquatic environment. In addition, the SOM- pools of different composition in the three zones will most likely behave different to future changes in atmospheric CO2 and climate change adoption.

Analsis data menggunakan one way analysis of variance. Disimpulkan pemberian bubuk daun MO dengan dosis 0,1 kg/ekor/hari dapat memperbaiki kuantitas dan kualitas semen (viabilitas dan total spermatozoa motil) sapi pejantan PO.Kata kunci: kuantitas dan kualitas semen, Moringa oleifera, sapi pejantan ABSTRACTThe research aimed to determine the effect of Moringa oleifera (MO) leaf powder on the quantity and quality of semen of ongole crossbreed. The research method used was a field experiment with a completely randomized design with three treatments giving MO of 0 kg/head/day (P1); 0.05 kg/head/day (P2) and 0.1 kg/head/day (P3). Each treatment consisted of four heads with three periods of observation as replications, namely the first and third periods without MO, and the second period was given MO on P2 and P3. Data analysis used a one-way analysis of variance. The results showed that the volume and pH of semen treated P1, P2, and P3 didn’t different in all observation periods. The second and third period spermatozoa mass motility of P2 and P3 showed that the value of +++ was significantly different (P<0.05) compared to P1 (++); Individual motility of P1 treatment showed the lowest value 60,56±2,94 % (P<0.05) compared to P2 and P3 in the second and third periods (75,50±2,29 and 72,50±2,34%). The second and third periods of P2 and P3 spermatozoa concentrations showed an average of >1,350 million/cc significantly different (P<0.05) than P1 (876±152 million/cc), while the total motile spermatozoa showed the highest value of 5,647±829 million/cc in the second period P3. The spermatozoa viability of P2 and P3 showed values >88-89% significantly different (P<0.05) than P1 (<84%) in the second and third periods, while the best spermatozoa abnormalities were P2 at 4.30% in the second period and P3 at 5.33% in the third period. It was concluded that the giving of MO leaf powder at a dose of 0,1 kg/head/day could improve the quantity and quality of semen (viability and total motile spermatozoa) of Ongole Crossbreed bulls. Keywords: bulls, Moringa oleifera, quantity and quality of semen

The main objective is an interpretation of the island parody, in particular a logical reconstruction of the parodying argument that stays close to the text. The parodied reasoning is identified as the proof in the second chapter of the Proslogion, more specifically, this proof as it is represented by Gaunilo in the first chapter of his Liber pro insipiente. The second task is a detailed comparison between parodied and parodying argument as well as an account of their common structure. The third objective is a tentative characterization of the nature and function of parodies of arguments. It seems that parodying does not add new pertinent points of view to the usual criticism of an argument.

Liquid effluents discharged by hospitals may contain chemical and biological contaminants whose main source is the different substances used for the treatment of patients. This type of rejection can present a sanitary potentially dangerous risk for human health and can provoke a strong degradation of diverse environmental compartments mainly water and soils. The present study focuses on the quality of the liquid effluents of Hassani Abdelkader’s hospital of Sidi Bel-Abbes (West of Algeria). The results reveal a significant chemical pollution (COD: 879 mgO2/L, BOD5: 850 mgO2/L, NH4+ : 47.9 mg/l, NO2- : 4.2 mg/l, NO3- : 56.8 mg/l with respect to WHO standard of 90 mgO2/L, 30 mgO2/L, 0.5 mg/l, 1 mg/l and 1 mg/l respectively). However, these effluents are biodegradable since the ratio COD/BOD5 do not exceeded the value of 2 in almost all samples. The presence of pathogen germs is put into evidence such as pseudomonas, the clostridium, the staphylococcus, the fecal coliforms and fecal streptococcus. These results show that the direct discharge of these effluents constitutes a major threat to human health and the environment.

Abstract Novel techniques to expose substrate-level defects are presented in this paper. New techniques such as inter-layer dielectric (ILD) thinning, high keV imaging, and XeF2 poly etch overflow are introduced. We describe these techniques as applied to two different defects types at FEOL. In the first case, by using ILD thinning and high keV imaging, coupled with focused ion beam (FIB) cross section and scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM,) we were able to judge where to sample for TEM from a top down perspective while simultaneously providing the top down images giving both perspectives on the same sample. In the second case we show retention of the poly Si short after removal of CoSi2 formation on poly. Removal of the CoSi2 exposes the poly Si such that we can utilize XeF2 to remove poly without damaging gate oxide to reveal pinhole defects in the gate oxide. Overall, using these techniques have led to 1) increased chances of successfully finding the defects, 2) better characterization of the defects by having a planar view perspective and 3) reduced time in localizing defects compared to performing cross section alone.

In two parts of the article, more than 70 errors and violations of the Biotechnics of artificial breeding of Pacific salmon in salmon hatcheries are collected and summarized, which lead to an immediate or delayed deterioration of the quality of reared fry and a decrease in their survival rate. Deviations from the biological basis of fish farming are shown and possible consequences of such errors or violations are predicted. In the first part of the article (#7,2020) there were General errors (throughout the entire fish-breeding process), as well as violations of Biotechnics during the work with producers, collecting eggs and preparing them for incubation, in the second part-violations of Biotechnics during the incubation of eggs, holding pre-larvae, rearing and release of young. Their correction, prevention or minimization of consequences will significantly improve the quality of sexual products and offspring from producers, increase the linear and weight gain of juveniles during rearing, improve the coefficient of feed payment, reduce the time of rearing, improve the epizootic situation by developing immunity in fry and mobilizing other protective reactions of their body, significantly reduce waste at all stages of the production process, increasing survival by 10–15%. In conclusion, it is noted that the first and most important condition for an efficient salmon hatchery is the creation of optimal environmental conditions at each stage of the production process. The second condition is strict compliance with the Biotechnics of artificial salmon breeding and the complex of veterinary and sanitary, fish-breeding and meliorative and therapeutic and preventive measures. The third is the availability of competent specialists who regularly improve their skills in accredited Universities to implement, control and manage the first two conditions.
