This article analyzes the consequences of the increasing reference to scientific expertise in the decision and implementation process of occupational health policy. Based on examples (exposure limits and attributable fractions) taken from an interdisciplinary seminar conducted in 2014 to 2015 in France, it shows how the measurement or regulation of a problem through biomedicine-based tools produces blind spots. It also uses a case study to show the contradictions between scientific and academic aims and public health intervention. Other indirect implications are also examined, such as the limitation of trade unions’ scope for action. Finally, the article suggests launching a broad political debate accessible to nonspecialists about collective occupational health issues—a dialogue made difficult by the rise of the afore-mentioned techno-scientific perspective.

Productivity is the ability to achieve certain tasks in accordance with predetermined standards. Companies must create safe work environment to motivate employees so that they can increase overall company productivity. Purpose of the study is to explain the effect of work discipline, occupational health and safety on the work productivity of Sariasih Garment employees with 51 people as samples, using saturated sample method. Data collected through observation, interviews and questionnaires and analyzed by multiple linear regression. Based on the results, work discipline, occupational health and work safety have  positive and significant effect on employee work productivity. It is expected that company pays attention to employees' compliance with regulations in doing their jobs and the company is able to create a safe, comfortable and clean work environment. Employees have enthusiasm and protection while working so that employees are able to increase work productivity in order to create maximum work results. Consumer Social Responsibility lässt eine freiwillige CO2-Kompensation von Fluggästen erwarten. Dieser Beitrag untersucht anhand von Daten aus einer Onlinebefragung in Deutschland die Zahlungsbereitschaft hierfür. Die Ergebnisse belegen, dass eine Unkenntnis über die Möglichkeiten der Kompensation, asymmetrische Informationen mit Mängeln in der Transparenz und eine unzureichende Glaubwürdigkeit der Kompensationsangebote die Befragten in ihrer Zahlungsbereitschaft negativ beeinflussen. Infolge einer Adversen Selektion wird die Verantwortungsübernahme der Fluggäste unterbunden.
