Field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are finding increasing number of applications in high integrity safety critical systems of aerospace and defence industry. Though FPGA design goes through various development processes, it is widely observed that the critical errors are observed in the final stages of development, thereby impacting time and cost. The risk of failure in complex embedded systems is overcome by using the independent verification and validation (IV&V) technique. Independent verification and validation (IV&V) of FPGA-based design is essential for evaluating the correctness, quality, and safety of the airborne embedded systems throughout the development life cycle and provides early detection and identification of risk elements. The process of IV&V and its planning needs to be initiated early in the development life cycle. This chapter describes the IV&V methodology for FPGA-based design during the development life cycle along with the certification process.

Today, the Internet and the Web are the most amazingly and dynamically growing computer technologies. The number of users accessing the Web is growing exponentially all over the world. The Web has become a popular environment for new generation of interactive computer applications called Web (or hypermedia) application. The Web applications (WAs) have special characteristics that have made them different from other traditional applications. Hence, many design methodologies for the development of WAs have been proposed. However, most of these methodologies concentrate on the design aspects of applications, and they often do not strictly follow any software development life-cycle model such as the WaterFall software development life-cycle model. In this chapter, we propose an object-oriented design methodology for the development of WAs. The main features of this proposed methodology are that it follows WaterFall model and captures the operations in objects of the applications; thus making the methodology an object-oriented methodology.

Software development projects have been blamed for being behind schedule, cost overruns, and the delivery of poor quality product. This paper presents a simulation model of a data warehouse to evaluate the feasibility of different software development controls and measures to better manage a software development lifecycle, and improve the performance of the launched software. This paper attempts to address the practical issue of code defects in each stage of data warehouse application development. The author has compared the defect removal rate of their previous project to the newly proposed enhanced project development life cycle that uses code inspection and code scorecard along with other phases of software development life cycle. Simulation results show that the code inspection and code score-carding have achieved a significant code defect reduction. This has also significantly improved the software development process and allowed for a flawless production execution. The author proposes this simulation model to a data warehouse application development process to enable developers to improve their current process.

In managing laboratory equipment at SMK Negeri 1 Gunungputri, they still use manual methods and the toolman or head of the workshop does not collect data continuously, causing data and goods in the field to be incompatible, then there is no inventory number that causes lost items cannot be identified, therefore needed an Information System Inventory of Welding Engineering Workshop. This system uses the System Development Life Cycle method with Object Oriented Design modeling, with an Information System Inventory Workshop Welding Techniques can make it easier to identify every item in the field, reduce errors in terms of storage of goods, search for data and can facilitate the search for goods, especially in the Engineering workshop Welding.

AbstrakPT. Teknik Bina Mandiri (PT. Tarum Barat. I No.83, Jayamukti, Cikarang Pusat, Bekasi, Jawa Barat 17530. PT.

Pembangunan executive dashboard dibangun berdasarkan model pengembangan dashboard berbasis user centered design. Pengembangan sistem executive dashboard monitoring produksi  menggunakan model prototipe berbasis SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) dan OOAD (Object-oriented analysis and design).
