Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan agar guru biologi SMA di Kabupaten Bekasi dapat terampil mengembangkan soal HOTS. Guru sebagai peserta kegiatan pelatihan yang diundang dalam kegiatan merupakan perwakilan dari anggota MGMP Biologi yang tersebar dari beberapa beberapa wilayah di Kabupaten Bekasi yang diwakili oleh guru pada masing-masing Kecamatan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat kepada guru tentang pelatihan pengembangan soal HOTS yang sesuai dengan keterampilan abad 21. Model kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui 10 (sepuluh) tahap, yaitu: (1) brain storming atau curah pendapat ceramah dan tanya jawab tentang konsep penulisan soal HOTs, (2) mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah berupa 1 soal subyektif dan 1 soal obyektif, (3) pendalaman konsep HOTs, (4) penulisan 1 soal obyektif dan 1 soal subyektif secara individual, (5) pembentukan kelompok yang terdiri dari 5-8 guru dan saling menukarkan soal, (6) masing-masing guru menelaah berdasarkan instrument yang telah disediakan, (7) kelompok memilih soal yang paling HOTs dan meranking mulai HOTs, MOTs, dan LOTs, (8) presentasi oleh masing-masing kelompok berdasarkan hasil telaahnya, (9) kelompok lain memberikan tanggapan berkaitan dengan HOTs atau tidaknya soal, (10) penguatan dari narasumber untuk masing-masing kelompok.Kata kunci: Higher order thinking skill, HOTS, guru biologi, kabupaten Bekasi.

This study is aimed at (1) analyzing reading exercises based Bloom’s taxonomy for VIII grade in English on Sky textbook. (2) Found the distribution of the lower and higher order thinking skill in reading exercises. (3) To reason for level reading exercises. After analyzed the data, the result of the data analysis also infers that the six levels of Bloom’s taxonomy in reading exercises weren’t applied totally. The creating skill doesn’t have distribution in reading exercise, and the understanding – remembering level more dominant than another levels. The distribution of the higher order thinking level was lower than the lower order thinking level and the six levels are not appropriate with the proportion for each level of education based Bloom’s taxonomy, such as the distribution of the creating level in the reading exercise must be a concern because no question that belong to the creating level. It was concluded that reading exercises in English on Sky textbook cannot improve students' critical thinking skills for VIII grade.

The Difference

This research model uses several stages, namely the analysis phase, the design phase, the development stage, the implementation phase, the evaluation stage. The results showed the difference in class average between classes using media and not using monopoly media based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill). This is evidenced by the results of the t-test in which the number of t arithmetic (3,590)> ttable (1,708). So the result is effectiveness in the use of HOTS (Higher Order Thingking Skill) based animal and food material monopoly in grade IV SD 01 Kalicari.

Pelatihan penyusunan instrumen Instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran matematika Berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) bertujuan untuk: (1) Memberikan pemahaman kepada guru tentang konsep dasar penyusunan instrument evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis HOTS. (2) Meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun instrument evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis HOTS. Sasaran dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah seluruh guru MA. Sirajul Huda Pringgarata terutama guru bidang studi matematika. Pelatihan penyusunan evaluasi pembelajaran ini berisikan tentang tekhnik penyusunan kisi-kisi soal, soal-soal berbasis HOTS dan rubrik penskoran pada ranah kognitif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini untuk mencapai tujuan sebagaimana yang telah dirumuskan yaitu metode ceramah, diskusi, dan latihan yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dan seminar. Hasil Pelatihan pada kriteria keaktifan peserta dengan indikator: 1) Memperhatikan penjelasan pemateri rata-rata 100%; 2) Mencatat penjelasan pemateri rata-rata 92%; 3) Aktif bertanya/menjawab rata-rata 58%. Hasil penilaian kerjasama kelompok dengan indikator: 1) Berusaha memberikan pendapat rata-rata 82%; 2) Terlibat aktif dalam diskusi rata-rata 100%; 3) Menghargai pendapat sejawat rata-rata 100%. Hasil Penilaian Pemahaman dalam Penyusunan Soal HOTS dengan kriteria Baik sekali rata-rata 32%, Baik rata-rata 33%, Cukup rata-rata 12%.

Abstract: According to demands of curriculum 2013, assessment carried out on school should have led to increasing of higher order thinking skill. The lack of availability of questions are specifically designed to develop student’s higher order thinking skill causes students are not really proficient in solving higher order thinking skill questions. This study was research and development research purposing to determine development steps and quality of higher order thinking skill test instrument in one of high schools chemistry topic, i.e. colloid. The process of developing a higher order thinking skill test instrument used a formative research designed by Tessmer through 4 stages, namely: preliminary, self-evaluation, prototyping (expert reviews, one-to-one and small group) and field test. The data were obtained from the results of filling out validation sheets by expert reviews, questionnaires filled out by students, and test/trial of higher order thinking skill test instrument on students. The results of the development were categorically valid logically and empirically. The reliability of the test instrument was 0,65 with the high category. The item’s difficulty level was in the medium category. Six questions had good distinguishing power and one question had enough distinguishing power. The higher order thinking skill of students were in excellent, good, adequate, lacking and very poor categories respectively: 15,14%;  12,12%;  42,42%;  24,24%;  6,06%.

The development of a descriptive text assessment instrument must be considered in the regularity of the questions in accordance with the question grid. Based on the results of observations at Junior High School (SMP) Methodist Charles Wesley Medan, the teacher gave a questionnaire only in the form of essay questions (explanations) even though, in tests or tests carried out it was actually not just essays, but multiple choices. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam melakukan tahap-tahap pengembangan tes hasil belajar kategori Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian merupakan mahasiswa calon guru matematika yang mengikuti perkuliahan Evaluasi Pembelajaran Matematika. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui penugasan proyek. Data dinalisis disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru dalam mengembangkan instrumen tes kategori HOTS secara klasikal tergolong baik dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 76,2. Kemampuan mahasiswa ini terbagi dalam tiga kategori, yaitu 32,1% termasuk kategori sangat baik, 39,3% tergolong baik, 25% tergolong cukup baik dan 3,6% termasuk kategori sangat kurang. Berdasarkan aspek kompetensi yang dinilai, rata-rata kemampuan mahasiswa tergolong baik. Pada aspek menganalisis butir soal, kemampuan mahasiswa tergolong cukup baik.

The background of this research was the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0 era. Hence, the students should have high-oder thinking skills and lecturers must be able to create learning that was able to achieve these demands. This study examined the effect of Blended Learning and Project Based Learning in improving the students’ Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). This research was an experimental research with a quasi-experiment design type. The sample of this research was 90 students from Primary School Teacher Education Department at State University of Padang. This research proven that the obtained t count = 4.374 with df = 392.24 and sig (1 way) = 0.000 where sig (1 way) <0.05. It concluded that there was an improving of students’ HOTS ability that learned using Blended Learning and Project Based Learning rather than of using Blended Learning only. This research of using Blende-Learning and Project Based learning could improve on students' higher-order thinking skills. This research implied using Blended Learning and Project Based learning model was an alternative to improve Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Penelitian ini tentang penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran problem posing berorientasi HOTS pada materi hidrolisis garam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Tiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta analisis dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin dengan jumlah siswa 39 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan tes hasil belajar kognitif. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) aktivitas guru meningkat dengan kategori cukup baik pada siklus I menjadi baik pada siklus II. (2) Aktivitas siswa meningkat dengan kategori cukup aktif pada siklus I menjadi aktif pada siklus II. (3) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat dengan kategori cukup kritis pada siklus I dan kritis pada siklus II. (4) Hasil belajar kognitif siswa meningkat secara klasikal dengan kategori kurang baik pada siklus I menjadi cukup baik pada siklus II.
