The current study focused on examining the role of TQMk (Total Quality Marketing) in increasing the effectiveness of e-marketing within Jordanian telecommunication sector; TQMk included variables of service quality, market orientation and the customer-focused approach. A quantitative approach was adopted through utilizing a questionnaire, which was distributed to 18 marketing and project managers within Jordanian telecommunication organizations (Zain, Umniah and Orange). Results of the study indicated that TQMk can have an influence in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of e-marketing solutions within the organization and mainly within the social marketing and electronic marketing departments, through developing the variable of the customer-focused approach, which has the deepest influence on e-marketing approach’s effectiveness; it was followed by an influence of service quality, and the least influential factor was market orientation. The study recommended focusing on clients within the targeted markets through different aspects, including price, new products acceptance, customer behavior and purchase decision motivators.

Customer Knowledge Management (CKM) has become buzzword in modern knowledge driven society. As an innovative concept the study has attempted to find out the level of orientation of CKM practices in telecommunication sector in a developing country like Bangladesh through data and methodology triangulation approach. In the first phase of the study, quantitative technique has been used where data has been collected from 42 employees from major telecommunication companies such as Grameen Phone (GP), Banglalink, Robi, Airtel and Teletalk. In order to find out the details explanation of the quantitative results, an extensive open-ended survey has been conducted on experienced mid-level employees. In the last phase of the study, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted on selected knowledgeable educated customers to cross check the results derived from the corporate people in order to ensure the reliability of the study.

<p>The purpose of this study is to measure the effect of ethics embedded practices on maintaining long-term relationships with customers. Based on an extensive literature review, four elements of marketing ethics, namely, honesty, autonomy, privacy and transparency were identified and examined by utilizing a sample of 360 participants. Adopting a quantitative approach, the study conducted on telecommunication sector subscribers revealed that the elements of marketing ethics affected an organization’s ability of maintaining long-term relationships with customers and had a strong influence on feedback, transparency and privacy. The results also showed the crucial role of generating feedback from customers for creating and maintaining long-term relationships. The results will enable marketers to not only analyze the importance of adopting ethical practices in their strategies but also the relative relevance of these practices as perceived by customers.</p>

The study explores the potential influences of strategic orientation constructs of entrepreneurial, market and technology orientations on telecommunication firms’ performance using data obtained through structured questionnaires from 57 line managers and 300 customers of these firms. The data collected were subjected to the structural equation modeling technique. The results revealed that strategic orientation has a positive significant relationship with firm performance. Specifically, it showed that only technology orientation has a significant influence on telecommunication firms’ performance. The study contributes to the understanding of the rationale behind which set of strategic orientations should be implemented for improved level of performance in the telecommunication sector.
