This article addresses spatial reconstruction of the manor complex with the help of 3D modeling and 3D visualization. The topicality of the issue is determined by a big number of dvoryane architectural monuments in Moscow Oblast which have been partially or totally lost, but bear historical and cultural importance at the local or the regional level. Not many of them will be restored but most of them are related to famous or influential noble dynasties that had played an important role in Russian history.  Virtual reconstruction of these complexes is a way to “revive” this history and search for new aspects of dvoryanstvo’s life in the 17th – early 20th centuries. The article describes the main methods and technological solutions of spatial reconstruction of a manor complex by the example of Nikolskoe-Uryupino Manor (Krasnogorskiy Urban Okrug, Moscow Oblast). The manor has become known due to Golitsyny dynasty that created a picturesque architectural and park ensemble. The current state of the complex and many different sources at hand provide for detailed reconstruction of the main buildings as well as create the surrounding space similar to the original one. The reconstruction is described in details starting with the source analysis and methodical studies to the description of the virtual projects visualization.

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The study presents a process of digital simulation that aims to investigate the legibility of multiple spaces in a complex architecture through architectural survey, virtual reconstruction and 3D visualization in immersive environment. The collaboration between two research institutions, one Italian and the other Chinese, developed a reconstruction of a building in the campus of the Tsinghua University of Beijing using digital tools, in order to understand the behaviours during the fruition of that space. Digital simulation in the visibility theme guarantees the possibility of testing multiple configurations and showing the impacts of the different environmental hypothesis.</p>

With the high resolution remotely sensed image and an old map of the Pingfeng campus of Guilin University of Technology, 3D virtual reconstruction, roaming and buildings management of the campus were accomplished by the usage of ArcGIS to get basic geographic information, applying SketchUp to create 3D models and ArcEngine to develop a management information system. This method takes full advantage of existing data sources and can quickly build a 3D visualization information system.

<div>The generated database GDB17 enumerates 166.4 billion possible molecules up to 17 atoms of C, N, O, S and halogens following simple chemical stability and synthetic feasibility rules, however medicinal chemistry criteria are not taken into account. Here we applied rules inspired by medicinal chemistry to exclude problematic functional groups and complex molecules from GDB17, and sampled the resulting subset evenly across molecular size, stereochemistry and polarity to form GDBMedChem as a compact collection of 10 million small molecules.</div><div><br></div><div>This collection has reduced complexity and better synthetic accessibility than the entire GDB17 but retains higher sp 3 - carbon fraction and natural product likeness scores compared to known drugs. GDBMedChem molecules are more diverse and very different from known molecules in terms of substructures and represent an unprecedented source of diversity for drug design. GDBMedChem is available for 3D-visualization, similarity searching and for download at http://gdb.unibe.ch.</div>

Abstract A high-resolution table-sized x-ray nanotomography (XRMT) tool has been constructed that shows the promise of nondestructively imaging the internal structure of a full IC stack with a spatial resolution better than 100 nm. Such a tool can be used to detect, localize, and characterize buried defects in the IC. By collecting a set of X-ray projections through the full IC (which may include tens of micrometers of silicon substrate and several layers of Cu interconnects) and applying tomographic reconstruction algorithms to these projections, a 3D volumetric reconstruction can be obtained, and analyzed for defects using 3D visualization software. XRMT is a powerful technique that will find use in failure analysis and IC process development, and may facilitate or supplant investigations using SEM, TEM, and FIB tools, which generally require destructive sample preparation and a vacuum environment.
