The Impact

This paper presents, a novel controller design technique that can be used for the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell to tackle the impact of the sudden stack current disturbances. The proposed controller design consists of three components: a full-state feedback control loop, an integral of error control loop and a feed-forward control loop. The feed-forward control loop is designed to ease the impact of the piecewise continuous current disturbance on the stack voltage. Linearized system matrices are set up in such a way that a new augmented system is formed. Controller gains are calculated by using a quadratic performance criterion which is minimized along the trajectories of the augmented system. Simulation results are presented and discussed.

This paper presents usage of analog feed-forward control to improve the transient response of DC-DC buck converters with pulse-width-modulation (PWM). The analog feed-forward controller is simple and does not require complicated calculations. Duty cycle is modulated directly based on the charge balance of the output capacitor. Compared with conventional feedback control, this simple feed-forward controller reduces control delay and provides a satisfactory transient response. We apply this technique to a Single-Inductor-Dual-Output (SIDO) buck converter as well as a Single-Inductor-Single-Output (SISO) buck converter, and show that its cross-regulation is improved. We have validated the proposed method with SIMetrix simulations.

The influence on the shape of the strip from rolling force fluctuations has been analyzed. The combination of intermediate roll bending and work roll bending has been adopted. The principle of rolling force feed-forward control has been analyzed. The feed-forward control model has been established on the basis of neural networks. The model has been successfully applied to a rolling mill and a good effect has been achieved.
