In this context, the main purpose of this research is the investigation of smartphone use and addiction in Generation Y that are a part of the digital world. An online survey was conducted with 887 respondents who own a smartphone from Turkey. Five dimensions of smartphone addiction were extracted from the factor analysis, namely tolerance, accompany/fellowship, withdrawal, social network dependence, and health problems. In order to classify smartphone addiction groups, K-means cluster analysis was used on the extracted factors. Four groups named “nonaddicts,” “heavy addicts,” “realistic addicts,” and “emotional addicts” were determined.

The survey consisted of 30 questions including 10 demographic items, and Likert 5-point scale was used. In the empirical analysis, descriptive analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural model analysis, and adjustment effect test were analyzed by AMOS 22.0 using SPSS 22.0.Findings: Studies have shown that first, the knowledge of consultants was shown to have a positive effect on the social network. Second, the ability of consultants was found to have a positive effect on social networks. Third, the attitude of consultants was found to have a positive effect on social networks. It means that the utilization of consulting can be improved through the formation of an active social network. Fifth, analyzing the differences in the path between the gender, it was found to be affected by the Moderating effect. In the case of men, consultant knowledge and attitudes have derived positive results in social networks and consulting use. And in the case of women, the ability of consultants became more active in consulting with social networks. Therefore, the difference in the effect between male and female was confirmed statistically.Improvements/Applications: In this study, it was confirmed that there was a difference between men and women when the consultant's ability affected the consulting utilization rate. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a detailed study of measures to supplement the gender gap in the competence of consultants in SMB consulting.

The study is aimed to explore the factors of subjective norms and their influence on shaping the intention of people to participate in crowdfunding. Data was collected from 155 respondents who have been involved in one or many crowdfunding campaigns as a contributor or fundraiser. Data was analyzed using various statistical tools like data reliability test, factor analysis, correlation, and regression. It was found that intention to participate in crowdfunding is shaped by the influence of family and friends and people have high motivation to comply with the approval of these reference groups. Influence of other reference groups like a supervisor, teacher, neighbor, social network friend, etc. has no impact on shaping the intention of people towards crowdfunding. The study will be useful for crowdfunding platforms to understand the influence of referent groups on people regarding crowdfunding participation.

This paper used China National Knowledge Infrastructure database (CNKI) to analyze the keywords of water transfer project related papers in core journals from 1992 to 2011. Using Ucinet and SPSS software to make factor analysis and social network analysis, the paper discussed the status and frontier of water transfer research. Results are found that the allocation of water resources, water environment impact are the core, and that the tendency of ecological and the institutionalization including the ecological water requirement, ecological compensation, carrying capacity, water safety, water rights , system and so on are much obvious.

Young people show very high and intensive levels of social networks use. However, users have different levels of involvement as regards their degree of interactivity in these platforms. Supported by uses and gratifications theory and applying a factor analysis, the motivations that explain their participation in several profiles of social networks and differences between those who do and those who do not comment are analysed. Based on a self-administered survey of 461 young university students, the main conclusions include the diversity of nuances in the combinations of reasons that explain participation in different types of profiles on social networks; particularly worth highlighting are the similarities between profiles of NGOs and those of celebrities. Also of note is the tendency of users who comment on commercial, political, social and leisure profiles to display motivations linked to searching for information, being useful, influencing others, interacting and showing adhesion, depending on the sphere.

Although it has been suggested that social network site (SNS) use motives are one of important determinants of SNS addiction, there has not been yet a scale to assess them. The aim of this study was to examine psychological properties of a newly developed Social Network Site Use Motives Scale (SUMS) in a college student sample. The SUMS was administered to 481 nonclinical participants. Exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency analysis, and correlation analysis were undertaken to examine its validity and reliability. Results of factor analysis indicated that the SUMS consisted of four factors. Indices of internal consistency reliability, test-retest reliability, and criterion validity of SUMS were acceptable. Our study suggested that SUMS could be used as an effective tool to assess SNS use motives. The usage of SUMS should be encouraged in future studies of SNS use motives. Future research using this measure could provide a more comprehensive model of the relationship between SNS use motives and SNS addiction.

The impact of employment on the health of retirees is examined, with particular attention to the hypothesis that social roles affect health through their impact on social networks. Data are based on comprehensive assessment questionnaires completed by 175 participants of a corporate sponsored geriatric clinic. Results indicate that employment in the retirement years is related to larger social networks and indirectly, through this relationship, to better perceived health. Of the three social network factors identified through factor analysis: family, friends, and confidant relationships, employment was significantly related only to the friendship component. A summary analytic model is presented and implication for interventions are discussed.

This study was concerned with the correspondence between the classification of measures by clinical judgment and by factor analysis. Forty-six measures were selected to assess language, auditory processing, reading-spelling, maxillofacial structure, articulation, and other processes. These were applied to 98 misarticulating eight- and nine-year-old children. Factors derived from the analysis corresponded well with categories the measures were selected to represent.
