We express a matrix version of the self-induced transparency (SIT) equations in the bidifferential calculus framework. An infinite family of exact solutions is then obtained by application of a general result that generates exact solutions from solutions of a linear system of arbitrary matrix size. A side result is a solution formula for the sine-Gordon equation.

We study the [Formula: see text] cosmological models under the self-similarity hypothesis. We determine the exact form that each physical and geometrical quantity may take in order that the field equations (FE) admit exact self-similar (SS) solutions through the matter collineation approach. We study two models: the case[Formula: see text] and the case [Formula: see text]. In each case, we state general theorems which determine completely the form of the unknown functions [Formula: see text] such that the FE admit SS solutions. We also state some corollaries as limiting cases. These results are quite general and valid for any homogeneous SS metric[Formula: see text] In this way, we are able to generate new cosmological scenarios. As examples, we study two cases by finding exact solutions to these particular models.

AbstractAnother form of the discrete mKdV hierarchy with self-consistent sources is given in the paper. The self-consistent sources is presented only by the eigenfunctions corresponding to the reduction of the Ablowitz-Ladik spectral problem. The exact soliton solutions are also derived by the inverse scattering transform.

A SU(2) Gauge Theory with spherical symmetry over the Minkowski space-time is considered. The self-duality equation of the gauge fields are written and their solutions are obtained. Two exact solutions, one of which is statical and another of dynamical type are given. All the calculations are performed using an analytical program written in GRTensor computer algebra package, which runs on the MapleV platform.
