Clinical observation of patients with posttraumatic deforming arthrosis of subtalar joint resulted from calcaneus fracture and preoperatively diagnosed closed old dislocation of left foot peroneal tendons is presented. The necessity of thorough examination of patients with hindfoot injuries and expediency of surgical interventions not only on the bony but also on the soft tissue structures is substantiated. Such interventions will provide for the restoration of the normal anatomical position of peroneal tendons.

Hydroxyapatite [Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2] is natural ceramic material which is often used for artificial bone reconstruction. In this research, hydroxyapatite was synthesized from mineral of Calcite (CaCO3) which obtained from the Campurdarat, Tulungagung. The hydroxyapatite synthesis steps are encompassed by the preparation of precursors and the synthesis process by using wet chemical manipulation or routes. The XRF characterization shows that the percentage of calcium from the raw material is around 99%. This study succesfully obtains the compound of Ca(OH)2as a source of hydroxyapatite. The concentration of H3PO4 in hydroxyapatite synthesis process influences the synthesis results. For the concentration of H3PO4 0.6 M is still found the compound of Ca(OH)2. The difference result is shown H3PO4 with concentration 0.8 M which the total synthesis product is hydroxyapatite.

This study examines the expression of selflessness – the tendency to ignore one’s own needs and serve others’ needs – in Rorschach protocols of women suffering from anorexia nervosa. The protocols of 35 women suffering from anorexia nervosa were compared to 30 protocols of a psychiatric comparison group. A multivariate analysis of variance over five variables (AG, PER, PHR, COP, and GHR) was significant: Anorexic patients showed higher characteristics of selflessness compared to the psychiatric comparison group. These findings contribute to the validation of the Rorschach technique and to the clinical observation of selflessness in anorexic patients, and they emphasize specific characteristics in the treatment of anorexia nervosa patients.
