Abstract A 55-year-old-male patient with hypogammaglobulinemia due to previous rituximab treatment developed persistent COVID-19 pneumonia. Treatment with REGN-COV2 resulted in the clearance of the infection. Targeted anti-viral antibodies may be an important weapon in the management of immune-compromised patients infected by SARS-COV2 who fail to mount an immune response.

The study aims to assess the effectiveness of an educational leaflet in the prevention of external genital warts recurrences after achieving clearance with topical immune response modifiers treatment. A six-month follow-up, prospective, open, multi-centre randomized by centres study was conducted, which included a total of 216 patients. A total of 103 (47.7%) patients were given an educational leaflet. In all, 201 subjects (93.1%) came to the second follow-up visit, of which 62.7% achieved condyloma acuminatum (CA) clearance. During follow-up, 15% (confidence intervals [CI] 95%, 7.1–26.6%) of the patients who were given the educational leaflet, and 33.3% (CI 95%, 20.4–48.4%) of those who were not given the educational leaflet showed CA recurrences; the global rate of CA recurrence at the end of the six-month follow-up was 23.1% (CI 95%, 15.6–32.2%). The educational leaflet has therefore proved to be effective at reducing the recurrence rate after successful treatment with immune response modifiers.

We report a case of 23-year-old male patient with tuberculosis verrucous cutis on the foot for a duration of six months without responding to routine treatment. Tuberculosis is a common disease worldwide. Extrapulmonary tuberculosis contributes to 10% of cases. Cutaneous tuberculosis occupies a small spectrum of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Tuberculosis verrucosa cutis is an exogenous infection occurring in a previously sensitized patient by direct inoculation of the organism. It occurs in sensitized patients with a moderate to high immune response. The diagnosis in our patient was confirmed by history, clinical examination, histopathological examination and the patient’s response to anti-tuberculous therapy.

The teeth are subjected to considerable variation for the number, size, form and structure of dental tissues. In this rare case report, a 30-year-old male patient was referred for root canal treatment of his right maxillary first molar because of deep caries in this tooth. During radiographic examination for determining the working length of this tooth, the peri-apical radiographs revealed the unfamiliar size of the maxillary first molar, in addition to severe curvature in mesiobuccal root. To achieve a successful treatment instrumentation of the canals completed with a crown-down technique, and obturation was done with lateral condensation technique.

Background and Objectives: Up until now, only one case of unilateral proximal tibiofibular synostosis caused by osteochondroma has been reported. This report is the first well-documented bilateral case of proximal tibiofibular synostosis caused by an osteochondroma. Case Report: A 21-year-old, highly active male patient with bilateral proximal tibiofibular synostosis caused by an osteochondroma suffering from persistent knee pain is presented. As conservative methods had failed, the patient was treated by bilateral open resection of the connecting bone. Histopathological findings confirmed the preoperative diagnosis. The patient returned to sports three weeks after surgery and continued soccer training six weeks after surgery. Discussion: The case report presents the successful treatment of a bilateral proximal tibiofibular synostosis caused by an osteochondroma by bilateral open resection of the connecting bone.

Graves’ hyperthyroidism has a various number of well-recognized manifestations. Galactorrhea is a rare manifestation in this disease. We describe a 33-year-old man who presented with the symptoms of hyperthyroidism, gynaecomastia, and galactorrhea for 2 months. Physical examination revealed goitre, gynaecomastia, and galactorrhea, bilaterally. Laboratory investigations demonstrated high free thyroxine with suppressed thyroid-stimulating hormone level together with elevated anti-TSH receptor; therefore, the diagnosis of Graves’ disease was confirmed. Other investigations to elucidate the etiology of galactorrhea were normal, so the galactorrhea was hypothesized to be caused by Graves’ disease. The gynaecomastia and galactorrhea resolved with the successful treatment of hyperthyroidism. Although the galactorrhea is extremely rare in thyrotoxicosis male patients, to the best of our knowledge, this is the third case which reported gynaecomastia and galactorrhea in male patient who presented with thyrotoxicosis.

Mogamulizumab induces cytotoxicity against CCR4+ lymphoma cells by antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity in advanced cutaneous T-cell lymphoma patients. Since the efficacy of mogamulizumab in mycosis fungoides (28.6%) is lower than that in Sézary syndrome (47.1%), reagents that enhance the antitumor immune response induced by mogamulizumab are needed to further optimize its use for the treatment of erythrodermic mycosis fungoides. In this report, we present a case of erythrodermic mycosis fungoides successfully treated with mogamulizumab followed by etoposide monotherapy.
