Background. An active molecule in sulfurous mineral - therapeutic waters and also in sapropelic mud is H2S, a hormetic gaseous molecule that can actively penetrate the skin. While high levels of H2S are extremely toxic, low levels are tolerated and have potential cytoprotective effects, with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant applications. Objective. This systematic review aims to rigorously select related articles and identify within their content the main possible uses of hydrogen sulfide from balneary sources and to explain its physiological mechanisms and therapeutic properties. Methods. To elaborate our systematic review, we have searched for relevant open access articles in 6 international databases: Cochrane , Elsevier , NCBI/PubMed , NCBI/PMC , PEDro , and ISI Web of Knowledge/Science , published from January 2016 until July 2021. The contextually quested keywords combinations/ syntaxes used are specified on this page. The eligible articles were analyzed in detail regarding pathologies addressed by hydrogen sulfide. All articles with any design (reviews, randomized controlled trials, non-randomized controlled trials, case-control studies, cross-sectional studies), if eligible according to the above-mentioned selection methodology, containing in the title the selected combinations, were included in the analysis. Articles were excluded in the second phase if they did not reach the relevance criterion. Results. Our search identified, first, 291 articles. After eliminating the duplicates and non-ISI articles, remained 121 papers. In the second phase, we applied a PEDro selection filter, resulting in 108 articles that passed the relevance criterion and were included in this systematic review. Conclusions. H2S biology and medical relevance are not fully understood and used adequately for sanogenic or medical purposes. More research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms and importance of this therapeutic gase. The link between balneotherapy and medical rehabilitation regarding the usage of hydrogen sulfide emphasises the unity for this medical speciality.

An attempt towards developing time efficient cloud computing architecture, by considering the deficiencies with respect to existing clouds, better ontology-based cloud information architecture is proposed in this thesis. In this architecture, additional modules on query retrieval and query refinement are added for better performance. Rocchio technique is used for query refinement to extract results with respect to relevance criterion is adopted. The proposed architecture gives better-indexed results after transforming the user query. Further, the cloud customers are provided with a flexible, scalable and pay per use services via many cloud vendors, security becomes a major issue. Hence, the article also proposes an alternate authentication technique for generating password at client end towards secured data access from cloud and it also prevents third party from accessing data at client side.

Users of Web search engines are generally confronted to numerous responses that are rarely structured, making it difficult to analyze the available results. Indeed, the linear results displayed through lists ordered according to a relevance criterion, although still widely used, seem often limitless. A solution to this problem is to improve the interfaces for better visualization of large number of results. In this paper, we propose modeling and implementation of a tool for graphical visualization and manipulation of results returned by search engines. The goal is to facilitate the analysis, the interpretation and the supervision of users' information needs. The architecture of the ‘Gravisor' tool is based on Multi-Agent paradigm. It is composed of four agents working in full cooperation and coordination. We hope that besides the web information retrieval field, the three graphical visualization modes offered by the ‘Gravisor' tool will be a promising alternative for better information visualization in other areas.

Spectral optimization consists in identifying the most relevant band subset for a specific application. It is a way to reduce hyperspectral data huge dimensionality and can be applied to design specific superspectral sensors dedicated to specific land cover applications. Spectral optimization includes both band selection and band extraction. On the one hand, band selection aims at selecting an optimal band subset (according to a relevance criterion) among the bands of a hyperspectral data set, using automatic feature selection algorithms. On the other hand, band extraction defines the most relevant spectral bands optimizing both their position along the spectrum and their width. The approach presented in this paper first builds a hierarchy of groups of adjacent bands, according to a relevance criterion to decide which adjacent bands must be merged. Then, band selection is performed at the different levels of this hierarchy. Two approaches were proposed to achieve this task : a greedy one and a new adaptation of an incremental feature selection algorithm to this hierarchy of merged bands.
