HOSTS: Polygonum and Rumex. DISEASE: Powdery mildew. GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION: World-wide. TRANSMISSION: Initial infection is perhaps by persistent mycelium and wind-borne conidia. Ascospores from overwintered cleistothecia may also start new infections.
