Endothelial function measured with brachial ultrasound (BU) is a validated prognostic factor in heart failure patients. LVAD (left ventricle assist device) application is a promising surgical technique to treat refractory heart failure patients both as a bridge to heart transplantation or as destination therapy. Clinical recovery in such patients may be associated to normal endothelial function measured by BU but, as recently reported, only in pulsatile flow LVAD patients. The present paper report a case of normal endothelial function even in a axial LVAD patient.

The paper report the applicablity of open source simulation software called GreenCloud to assist a novel Problem Based Learning in a laboratory environment. The actual case of Indonesia government plan to deploy cloud based data center infrastructure was picked up as the actual case. In such case, cloud economics analysis is required along with technical one. An open source software called GreenCloud is suitebale to perform the simulation and analysis of cloud computing from economics perspective. It was applied into three models of cloud architecture namely Two-Tier, Three-Tier and Three-Tier High Speed and then analyzed in terms of their energy consumptions based on three options of cloud economics scheme, namely i) non energy savings, ii) Dynamics Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS) and iii) Dynamics Shutdown (DNS).

Lambe described Myxilla lacunosa from a specimen from Vancouver Island. Lambe’s sponge was subsequently placed in the subgenus Burtonanchora based on Lambe reporting smooth styles. A number of investigators, including the authors of this paper, report some styles with spines in Lambe’s sponge. We redescribe Myxilla lacunosa based on re-examination of Lambe’s holotype, and propose to place it in subgenus Myxilla based on the presence of spined styles rather than subgenus Burtonanchora which is defined as genus Myxilla with smooth styles.

When vehicles run on road, they will be overtaken, cross by other vehicles or be impacted by crosswind. The other events of overtaking and in crosswind were investigated more deeply. A few of paper report the state of the research on this problem. Until now there are no any wind tunnel and road tests to study on road vehicle aerodynamics while crossing each other. Some numerical simulations were carried out by adopting technology of sliding interface and moving mesh. The method of numerical simulations was narrated in detail. The transient process of vehicles crossing each other was realized. Then the trends of aerodynamic coefficients changing were obtained from the flow field of simulation results. The quantificational changing of vehicles aerodynamic coefficients was obtained when they cross each other. The vehicles are sedan and coach. The simulation results indicated that the all aerodynamic coefficients of two vehicles changed large. The aerodynamic force was important to the vehicles’ handling stability when they cross each other.

. TiO2 was known for its potential in solar cell and photocatalyst application. However the usage of anatase TiO2 in solar cell application has its own disadvantage as TiO2 spectrum was limited to ultraviolet (UV) light limiting its application. It was found that the broader optical absorption of TiO2 can be obtained by nitrogen doping. This paper report the optical properties study of ammonia treated TiO2 nanostructures with various percentage concentration of ammonia. The TiO2 nanostructures was prepared by liquid phase deposition (LPD) method using on ITO substrate and annealed at 450 °C for 1h. The TiO2 nanostructures were characterized with rod-like morphology with length and diameter of ca. 100 nm and ca. 100 nm respectively that vertically oriented on the surface. The optical properties of the samples exhibit strong band near the UV region. The optical properties drastically changed if the samples treated with ammonia, of which exhibit the present of broader absorption band in the visible region. The TiO2 treated ammonia should be find used in photoelectrochemical (PEC) solar cell application.
