The photoreduction of protochlorophyllide (Pchl) in dark-grown leaves of barley (Hordeum vulgare) brings about the synthesis of delta-aminolaevulinic acid (AmLev). Manipulation of the Pchl level in the leaves by incubation in AmLev indicated that the production of AmLev was intimately related to the state of the Pchl reductase ternary complex. Free Pchl reductase that is unassociated with substrate/product appeared at first to be essential for the photoinduction of AmLev synthesis. Experiments on the photoreduction of Pchl in dark-grown leaves exposed to low-energy red-light, however, showed that photoreduction and AmLev synthesis would occur when the Pchl reductase, together with substrate, was maintained at relatively high endogenous concentration. Under such conditions the availability of free reductase protein would be negligible. An alternative scheme is presented, therefore, that can explain many, if not all, of the observations on AMLev synthesis and its close relationship to Pchl reduction, and which is based on a common supply of NADPH for the reduction of glutamate to AmLev and the synthesis of chorophyll(-ide).

Laevulinic acid (Lev) was used to control the rate of protocholorophyllide (PChl) regeneration in the leaves of dark-grown seedlings of barley (Hordeum vulgare) after a brief light treatment. In the leaves given Lev, at concentrations that severely block the resynthesis of protochlorophyllide, there was a massive overproduction of delta-aminolaevulinic acid (AmLev) that was well in excess of that required for the regeneration of PChl observed in the control leaves. Lev, at low concentrations, slightly delayed regeneration and held up, rather than inhibited, the utilization of the AmLev, which accumulated in the tissues. The overproduction and uncontrolled formation of AmLev also occurred in dark-grown leaves treated with a high concentration of Lev and given a light treatment of just sufficient energy to photoreduce only small quantities of the endogenous PChl. Experiments in which a high level of free PChl was induced by incubating the leaves in AmLev indicated that the active species of PChl was that associated with, and bound to, the PChl reductase protein. The results strongly demonstrate a close relationship between the PChl-protein complex and the ability of the leaves to synthesize AmLev.

Gabaculin (3-amino 2,3-dihydrobenzoic acid) is shown to be a very potent inhibitor of chlorophyll formation in Hordeum vulgate. Exposure of leaf segments to 30/μM gabaculin results in an 80% inhibition of chlorophyll synthesis, and this is paralleled by a decrease in carotenoid. Dual-inhibitor studies with dioxoheptanoic acid, which is an inhibitor of δ-aminolaevulinic acid dehydratase, show that gabaculin inhibits an earlier step than dioxoheptanoic acid and affects δ-aminolaevulinic acid synthesis rather than its subsequent metabolism.

Therefore, the law requires the owner of land rights to register their land, so that they have legal guarantees and guarantees of their rights. Double certificates occur in the case of land being abandoned by a certified owner, for a period of more than 20 years so that the land grows with a thicket, which is then controlled by someone else in good faith for more than 20 years, then the person increases his right of ownership. This is justified by law because the person has controlled the land for more than 20 years, in addition, because the land has been neglected for more than 20 years, the right to annul the land is controlled by the State. Banyaknya kasus/sengketa dibidang pertanahan, yang salah satunya adalah karena adanya sertifikat ganda, yang mana masalah ini dapat dikarenakan etikat tidak baik maupun etikat baik. Hal ini dikarenakan bahwa tanah mempunyai hubungan yang erat dengan manusia, baik untuk tempat tinggal maupun untuk berusaha. Oleh karenanya Undang- Undang mewajibkan sipemilik hak atas tanah untuk mendaftarkan tanahnya, agar mempunyai jaminan hukum dan jaminan haknya. Sertifikat ganda terjadi dalam hal tanah ditelantarkan oleh pemiliknya yang sudah bersertifikat, dalam jangka waktu lebih dari 20 tahun sehingga tanah tersebut tumbuh semak belukat, yang kemudian dikuasai oleh orang lain dengan itikat baik selama lebih dari 20 tahun, kemudian orang tersebut meningkatkan haknya menjadi hak milik.Hal ini dibenarkan oleh undang-undang karena org tersebut telah menguasai tanah tersebut selama lebih dari 20 tahun, selain itu karena tanah tersebut ditelntarkan selama lebih Dri 20 tahun, maka haknya hapus tanah dikuasai oleh Negara. FabGs, or β-oxoacyl reductases, are involved in fatty acid synthesis. The reaction entails NADPH/NADH-mediated conversion of β-oxoacyl-ACP (acyl-carrier protein) into β-hydroxyacyl-ACP. HMwFabGs (high-molecular-weight FabG) form a phylogenetically separate group of FabG enzymes. FabG4, an HMwFabG from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, contains two distinct domains, an N-terminal ‘flavodoxintype’ domain and a C-terminal oxoreductase domain. The catalytically active C-terminal domain utilizes NADH to reduce β-oxoacyl-CoA to β-hydroxyacyl-CoA. In the present study the crystal structures of the FabG4–NADH binary complex and the FabG4–NAD+–hexanoyl-CoA ternary complex have been determined to understand the substrate specificity and catalytic mechanism of FabG4. This is the first report to demonstrate how FabG4 interacts with its coenzyme NADH and hexanoyl-CoA that mimics an elongating fattyacyl chain covalently linked with CoA. Structural analysis shows that the binding of hexanoyl-CoA within the active site cavity of FabG significantly differs from that of the C16 fattyacyl substrate bound to mycobacterial FabI [InhA (enoyl-ACP reductase)]. The ternary complex reveals that both loop I and loop II interact with the phosphopantetheine moiety of CoA or ACP to align the covalently linked fattyacyl substrate near the active site. Structural data ACP inhibition studies indicate that FabG4 can accept both CoA- and ACP-based fattyacyl substrates. We have also shown that in the FabG4 dimer Arg146 and Arg445 of one monomer interact with the C-terminus of the second monomer to play pivotal role in substrate association and catalysis.

The article is devoted to the consideration of the important issue of the implementation of the principles of sustainable development, in the context of the introduction of innovative education and ensuring social safety. It is noted that an important result of the implementation of the process of sustainable development is social safety as a state of protection of vital rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as a system of social and political events that provides this protection. An important role in ensuring social safety and sustainable development belongs to education, which has an innovative basis. Therefore, it is important to form an innovative and educational paradigm that would contribute to the creation of an optimal socio-economic environment for social safety and sustainable development. The article highlights the problematic issues of social safety and sustainable development that are now taking place in Ukraine. Poverty, unemployment, high morbidity, rising crime – all this negatively affects the living standards of the population and the state of social safety of the country. It is noted that the strengthening of social safety largely depends on the state of human capital and the development of the educational sphere. The development of education, raising the educational level of the population acts as a catalyst for socio-economic processes, allows those working in social production to realize the achievements of scientific and technological progress and participate in its development. The innovative educational paradigm aims to provide high quality educational services, create a competitive educational environment and ensure the training of competitive specialists, which implies the establishment of a close relationship between education and business. It is also necessary to actively use the experience of developed countries to ensure the positive impact of education on the achievement of social safety and sustainable development. In this aspect, the article analyzes the current state of the educational sphere in Ukraine. The ways of achieving stability and optimal development of the educational sphere are proposed, which should contribute to ensuring economic growth on the principles of sustainable development.

The papyrological evidence from early Roman Egypt shows that there was a close relationship between private associations and village life. Associations were very much intertwined and influenced each other. They belonged to the most important local institutions for socio-economic and cultural life at village level and played an important role for the construction of feelings of community. In an environment void of civic designations, associations could also provide the frame for the assertion of specific identities, just like membership in the priestly groups or the army, as well as facilitate relations with the state in areas such as taxation or compulsory services.

Did Alex Arnold kill Betty Gail Brown? I have been asked that question hundreds of times and have never found it easy to answer. My difficulty with the question began almost as soon as I saw Arnold for the first time, in a jail cell in Lexington two or three days after he had confessed to the killing and been charged with murder. Although Arnold was not at the time hallucinating about mind-reading machines or talking to creatures on the walls of his jail cell, he was quite obviously still suffering mental impairments. He had lost his access to alcohol a little more than a week earlier and had been sitting alone in jail for most of that period; he seemed to have passed through the worst of his withdrawal symptoms, but was not even close to a total escape from the consequences of at least ten years of drunkenness. He had lost the “good feelings” he gained from drinking (elevated mood, self-confidence, and nonexistent inhibitions) and had found in their place high anxiety, low energy, some disorientation, and a crystal-clear desire to be left alone. It was under these conditions, speaking very softly and seeming almost to be talking to himself, that he said, “I killed her.” Had he made this statement under normal circumstances, in a clean and clear state of mind, it would have been easy to believe that the state had found the killer of Betty Gail Brown. But the circumstances under which the statement was made were far from normal, although they were much closer to normal that those that prevailed a few days earlier when he signed the confession that led to his prosecution for murder....

If the concept of social justice posits equality and fairness between subjects in the social order, then the presence of those subjects within that order must first and foremost be acknowledged. In Ireland’s recent reform of prostitution law contained in the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017, the presence of the sex worker as a rights-bearing subject or citizen, with access to justice in that capacity, was denied. In this article I focus on the use of data by the neo-abolitionist ‘Turn off the Red Light’ campaign to ‘flatten out’ the complexity of sex workers lives and present the figure of the ‘vulnerable prostituted woman’ and the ‘trafficking victim’: tragic, abject, a necessarily violated person and in need of ‘protection’ from the state. I argue that this data, entering public and political discourse as uncontestable truth, constituted what I call, ‘framing figures’, framing an inevitable outcome and precluding certain subjects from the status of equality and fairness. The data allowed campaigners for the Sex Purchase Ban (SPB), and, in turn the state, to eclipse a social justice approach to sex work, such as proposed by the Sex Workers Alliance of Ireland and other actors.

The present study was conducted to examine that impact of dietary xylanase (Xyl) and arabinofuranosidase (Abf) supplementation on the performance, protein and fat digestibility, the lipid peroxidation, the plasma biochemical traits, and the immune response of broilers. A total of 480, un-sexed, and one-day-old broilers (Ross 308) were randomly divided into three treatments with eight replicates, where chicks in the first treatment were fed basal diets and served as the control, chicks in the second treatment were fed diets formulated with reductions of 90 kcal/kg, and chicks in the third treatment were fed the same formulated diets used in the second group as well as the Xyl and Abf combination (Rovabio® Advance). Feed intake was decreased by the low energy diet, leading to an enhancement in feed efficiency enzyme supplementation in the low energy diet (p < 0.015). Both protein and fat digestibility were improved (p < 0.047) due to enzyme supplementation. Moreover, enzyme supplementation increased muscle total lipids content and decreased muscle thiobarbituric acid retroactive substance content. Furthermore, diets supplemented with Xyl and Abf exhibited an increase in antibody titers against the Newcastle disease virus (p < 0.026). In addition, enzyme supplementation increased gene expression related to growth and gene expression related to fatty acid synthesis. It could be concluded that dietary Xyl and Abf supplementation had beneficial impacts on growth, nutrient digestibility, lipid peroxidation, immune response, and gene expressions related to growth and fatty acid synthesis in broiler chickens fed low-energy diets.
