Abstract The molecular structure of the bridged [1]-titanocenophane 1,1'-dimethylsilylene titanocene dichloride, (CH3)2Si(C5H4)2TiCl2, has been investigated by an X-ray structure determination. Crystal data: monoclinic, space group C2/c, Z = 4, a = 1332.9(3), 6 = 988.7(3), c = 1068.9(3) pm, β = 113.43(2)°. The results are compared with the structural dimensions of similar compounds: 1,1'-methylene titanocene dichloride, CH2(C5H4)TiCl2, with the unbridged titanocene dichloride, (C5H5)2TiCl2 and the ethylene-bridged compound (CH2)2(C5H4)2TiCl2

The molecules of the title compound, [Cu(C11H13N2O2)2], lie across centres of inversion in space group P21/c and are linked by intermolecular N-H···O and C-H···O hydrogen bonds. The central Cu atom has a slightly distorted square-planar coordination comprised of four N atoms. Cu-N bond distances are 1.975(2) and 2.020(2) Å . The interplanar angle between the phenyl and succinimidato ring is 87.34(10)°

The molecular structures of exo-7-methylbicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-3-one, 3, and the endo-7-methyl isomer, 4, have been determined using X-ray-diffraction techniques. Compound 3 crystallizes in the space group [Formula: see text] with a = 15.115(1), c = 7.677(2) Å, and Z = 8 while 4 crystallizes in the space group P21 with a = 6.446(1), b = 7.831(1), c = 8.414(2) Å, β = 94.42(2)°, and Z = 2. The structures were solved by direct methods and refined to final agreement factors of R = 0.041 and R = 0.034 for 3 and 4 respectively. Compound 3 exists in a chair–chair conformation and there is no significant flattening of the chair rings. However, in 4, the non-ketone ring is forced into a boat conformation. These results are significant in interpreting what conformations may be present in the related sp2-hybridized carbocations.

In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C2N3)2(C5H5N)4], the NiII cations are coordinated by four pyridine ligands and two dicyanamide anions into discrete complexes. The shortest Ni...Ni separation is 8.1068 (10) Å. The structure is pseudo-centrosymmetric and can also be refined in the space group C2/c in which both anionic ligands are strongly disordered and the refinement leads to significantly poorer reliability factors.

The title compound crystallises in the triclinic centrosymmetric space group P1̄ with an intriguing high number of crystallographically unique binary salt-like adducts (Z′ = 8) and a total number of ionic species (Z′′ = 16) in the asymmetric unit.

New pseudopolymorphs of ivermectin (IVM), a potential anti-COVID-19 drug, were prepared. The crystal structure for three pseudopolymorphic crystalline forms of IVM has been determined using single-crystal X-ray crystallographic analysis. The molecular conformation of IVM in crystals has been compared with the conformation of isolated molecules modeled by DFT calculations. In a solvent with relatively small molecules (ethanol), IVM forms monoclinic crystal structure (space group I2), which contains two types of voids. When crystallized from solvents with larger molecules, like γ-valerolactone (GVL) and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), IVM forms orthorhombic crystal structure (space group P212121). Calculations of the lattice energy indicate that interactions between IVM and solvents play a minor role; the main contribution to energy is made by the interactions between the molecules of IVM itself, which form a framework in the crystal structure. Interactions between IVM and molecules of solvents were evaluated using Hirshfeld surface analysis. Thermal analysis of the new pseudopolymorphs of IVM was performed by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis.

Abstract Single crystals of I RbCd4V3O12 and TlCd4V3O12 II have been prepared by solid state reactions in closed iron tubes. The compounds crystallize closely related to the Johillerite structure in the space group C62h- C2/c with I: a = 13.058(3); b - 13.528(3), c = 7 .0 6 0 (2 )Å , β = 114.88(2)°; II: a = 12.999(6), b = 13.527(7), c = 7.055(3) Å , β = 114.88(4)°, Z = 4. Special features are the loss of Cu2+ in order to gain an additional Cd2+ position. The crystal structure is discussed with respect to related compounds of the Johillerite type.

AbstractThe crystal structure of the phase Ce5AgxGe4−x (x = 0.1−1.08) has been determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction data for Ce5Ag0.1Ge3.9. This phase is isotypic with Sm5Ge4: space group Pnma (No. 62), Pearson code oP36, Z = 4, a = 7.9632(2), b = 15.2693(5), c = 8.0803(2) Å; R1 = 0.0261, wR2 = 0.0460, 1428 F2 values and 48 variables. The two crystallographic positions 8d and 4c show Ge/Ag mixing, leading to a slight increase in the lattice parameters as compared to those of the pure binary compound Ce5Ge4.

AbstractThe new compounds LiK[C(CN)3]2 and Li[C(CN)3]·½ (H3C)2CO were synthesized and their crystal structures were determined. Li[C(CN)3]·½ (H3C)2CO crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ima2 (no. 46) with the cell parameters a=794.97(14), b=1165.1(2) and c=1485.4(3) pm, while LiK[C(CN)3]2 adopts the monoclinic space group P21/c (no. 14) with the cell parameters a=1265.7(2), b=1068.0(2) and c=778.36(12) pm and the angle β=95.775(7)°. Single crystals of K[C(CN)3] were also acquired, and the crystal structure was refined more precisely than before corroborating earlier results.
