MXene, a 2D material, is used as a filler to manufacture polymer electrolytes with high ionic conductivity because of its unique sheet shape, large specific surface area and high aspect ratio. Because MXene has numerous -OH groups on its surface, it can cause dehydration and condensation reactions with poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid) (PSSA) and consequently create pathways for the conduction of cations. The movement of Grotthuss-type hydrogen ions along the cation-conduction pathway is promoted and a high ionic conductivity can be obtained. In addition, when electrolytes composed of a conventional acid or metal salt alone is applied to an electrochromic device (ECD), it does not bring out fast response time, high coloration efficiency and transmittance contrast simultaneously. Therefore, dual-cation electrolytes are designed for high-performance ECDs. Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amine lithium salt (LiTFSI) was used as a source of lithium ions and PSSA crosslinked with MXene was used as a source of protons. Dual-Cation electrolytes crosslinked with MXene was applied to an indium tin oxide-free, all-solution-processable ECD. The effect of applying the electrolyte to the device was verified in terms of response time, coloration efficiency and transmittance contrast. The ECD with a size of 5 × 5 cm2 showed a high transmittance contrast of 66.7%, fast response time (8 s/15 s) and high coloration efficiency of 340.6 cm2/C.

An ECD based on electrochromic poly(1H-benzo[g]indole) was fabricated. The color of this ECD can switch between green and navy blue with good optical contrast, high coloration efficiency, fast response time, better optical memory and long-term stability.

It is necessary to model an energy efficient and stream optimization towards achieve high energy efficiency for Streaming data without degrading response time in big data stream computing. This paper proposes an Energy Efficient Traffic aware resource scheduling and Re-Streaming Stream Structure to replace a default scheduling strategy of storm is entitled as re-storm. The model described in three parts; First, a mathematical relation among energy consumption, low response time and high traffic streams. Second, various approaches provided for reducing an energy without affecting response time and which provides high performance in overall stream computing in big data. Third, re-storm deployed energy efficient traffic aware scheduling on the storm platform. It allocates worker nodes online by using hot-swapping technique with task utilizing by energy consolidation through graph partitioning. Moreover, re-storm is achieved high energy efficiency, low response time in all types of data arriving speeds.it is suitable for allocation of worker nodes in a storm topology. Experiment results have been demonstrated the comparing existing strategies which are dealing with energy issues without affecting or reducing response time for a different data stream speed levels. Finally, it shows that the re-storm platform achieved high energy efficiency and low response time when compared to all existing approaches.

There are challenges with the management of the emergency units of healthcare organizations in Nigeria; these have been observed from the high mortality rate, high level of left before examination (LBE) of the patients, low response time to acute care patients and poor turnaround time by the healthcare givers to address emergency situations. Therefore there is an urgent need to address the situation and solve the problems best ways possible by improving the management emergency team (MET) system of the healthcare organization. These was achieved by quantitative methodology application through the distribution of questionnaires, interviews and personal observation of the situation, hence improving the quality and quantity of the man power which is the human resources with qualified and well trained medical personnel, adding also to the management emergency team are police protocol officers who can give police report immediately for unconscious accident victims on arrival for emergency treatment, eliminating need for unavailable consent form before treatment, adding intensive training programs for MET system, emergency hotlines and ambulance assistance for patients, adequate supplies of oxygen and facilities that are up-to-date for the emergency unit. These solutions have increased the stability of the emergency unit, lower mortality rate, increased the efficiency of the team, improved response time, higher survival rate, improving the staff efficiency and effectiveness, after which it is observed that the emergency unit is on high-performance level, with good survey feedback by patients and their relatives.

We show that devices containing a ZnO single particle exhibit mobility values one order higher than single-crystal nanowires and a record-high photoresponse rise time. This device could be an excellent candidate for high performance phototransistors.
