Abstract The optical information storage ZnO-P2O5-SiO2:Mn2+ glass was prepared by the melting method. The photoluminescence (PL), long persistence luminescence (LPL) and photo-stimulated luminescence (PSL) show the same luminescence spectra with main peaks located at 607 nm. The research shows that the color of luminescence depends on the coordination environment of Mn2+ in the crystal lattice and the red luminescence depends on the 4T1(4G)→6A1g(6S) electronic transition of Mn2+. PSL and LPL phenomenon can’t be observed in 70ZnO-10P2O5-20SiO2 glass, which indicates that Mn2+ ions serve as glowing centers in PSL and LPL phenomenon. Thermo-luminescence (TL) shows that the depth of the traps in glass is as high as 0.908eV. The 254 nm ultraviolet light was used to record information in the glass and read it under 980 nm infrared light excitation. The ZnO-P2O5-SiO2:Mn2+ glass in this work is a high-security level optical information storage medium.

In this paper, a novel stego-method will be introduced, which can be used to hide any secret message in any holding color image. The proposed method will be implemented and tested and the calculated parameters will be compared with the LSB method parameters. It will be shown that the proposed method provides a high-security level by using two keys to extract the secret message from the holding image, making it very difficult to hack.

Remote sensing provides data that can be used in a variety of projects. One such project is the preparation for sending a manned flight to Mars. Before the departure of the expedition it is very important to carefully select a place of high scientific value and a high security level for the members of the flight. Remote sensing methods allow getting the whole set of necessary data, which will later be used for the flight equipment properly, as well as to adapt the lander design. Currently, robotic probes that send the collected information to Earth are engaged in the collection of the necessary data. There, the data, in turn, can be processed by specialists, as well as provided for the general public for informational purposes only.
