A single-component white phosphor was realized via Eu3+-Doping inside Sr3ZnTaO9(SZT). Eu3+-doping induces structural variations of SZT and its luminescence emission intensity is remarkably enhanced and color rendering is consequently improved.

A single-component white phosphor with a high color rendering index (Ra = 82.2) and good color stability was achieved by nonequivalent doping as the proposed strategy, which induces B-site disordering and compensates the intrinsic oxygen defects of SZN.
