ABSTRACTA ferroelectric nanogenerator without any electric poling treatment has been realized by incorporation of ytterbium (Yb) salt incorporated porous PVDF composite film. The composite film compose of electroactive β- and γ-phases, demonstrates higher dielectric and ferroelectric polarization responses than pure PVDF film. The 3 V of open circuit voltage with 0.47 µW/cm2 power density was generated by the nanogenerator upon single finger touch. It can also operate capacitor and light emitting diode without any subsidiary batteries.

Ordered silver nanowire (AgNW) film can effectively reduce the density of nodes, reduce the roughness of the film, and increase its conductivity and transmittance. In this paper, a double-layer crossed AgNW grid film was prepared by the auxiliary stirring method. The average transmittance of the double-layer crossed AgNW grid film was found to be 80% in the 400–1000 nm band, with a square resistance of 35 Ω/sq. As a transparent conductive anode material, the ordered AgNW film was applied to fabricate a flexible green organic light-emitting diode (OLED). The experimental results showed that the threshold voltage of the OLED was only 5 V and the maximum luminance was 1500 cd/m2.

AbstractThanks to its high transparency, high carrier mobility, and thermal conductivity, graphene is often used as transparent conductive electrode (TCE) in optoelectronic devices. However, the low carrier concentration and high resistance caused by vacancy defects, grain boundaries, and superposed folds in typical graphene films limit its application. In this study, we propose a method to increase both the conductivity and carrier concentration in single-layer graphene (SLG) by blending it with silver nanowires (AgNWs). AgNWs provide connections between grain boundaries of graphene to improve charge-carrier transport. The AgNWs in this study can reduce the resistance of SLG from 650 Ω/◻ to 27 Ω/◻ yet still maintain a transmittance of 86.7% (at 550 nm). Flexible organic light-emitting diode, with a maximum 15000 cd m−2 luminance was successfully fabricated using such graphene and AgNWs composite transparent electrodes.

Acetylated nanofibrillated cellulose (ANFC)/acrylic resin ABPE-10 composite film was prepared by impregnating ABPE-10 into ANFC films under negative pressure, which can enhance properties of ANFC films by forming an interpenetrating polymer network structure between ABPE-10 and the ANFC film. The ANFC/ABPE-10 composite film met the high performance flexible organic light-emitting diode substrate requirement, even when the ANFC dosage was as high as approximately 70%. The transparency of films with different ANFC dosages significantly increased from 67% (42 µm) to 88% (45 µm), as determined by ultraviolet-visible analysis. The composite film inherited the properties of AFNC, with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and a ductile compact structure. The contact angles of ANFC films increased from 49.2° to 102.9° after dipping in ABPE-10. Additionally, the composite films had good surface smoothness and mechanical properties.
