We report an enzymatic biosensor based on the microbial lipase Ceratobasidium sp.2 immobilized on lamellar zinc hydroxynitrate decorated gold nanoparticles and then incorporated into carbon paste with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs).

Mesoporous carbon (MC) was synthesized using mesoporous SiO2 template material (SBA-15) and sucrose as the carbon source. SBA-15, MC and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were used as sensors for determination of nitroxoline drug.
