AbstractPhoto-induced electron transfer and recombination was investigated for prototype molecular absorbers covalently bound to metal-oxide films. Two perylene derivatives with different anchor/bridge groups, a propionic and an acrylic acid, were adsorbed on both bare ZnO nanorods and TiO2 coated nanorods and the dynamics of the systems compared.
